I enjoyed a delicious vegetarian lunch combo at Rice Paper. I had the lunch combo 5, which includes 2 veggie dumplings (not pictured) and mixed veggies with tofu on jasmine rice, plus a drink. Yes, I counted it because after reading a review where a patron stated she received a couple pieces of chicken, I had to see for myself because no one orders curry chicken and only receives two pieces of chicken, right...she must be exaggerating! Oh man I love this place. I was cruising around with my date for the evening and we happened to run across this new place. Omg I'm glad we decided to give it a try. Let me start by saying they have amazing amazing customer service. The owners are so nice. They noticed that We were ultra excited about being there and they just took us in like they knew us for years. They warmly show us all the menu which is really big and helped us pick out items. We were so excited about the menu. I mean you though we won the lottery as much as we were carrying on. My date was just tickled by my sure feeling for this place. She herself loves Vietnamese food so she was ultra hyped. We ordered like 6 things. We got hot tea, pho noodle soup, garlic butter wings, Banh mi, lemongrass shortrib noodles, and papaya salad. I was playing when I say we attempted to order the whole menu lol. Everything that we got was ultra fresh and delivered on flavor!!! Total mouth frenzy lol. Lock this food up it was too good to be on the market. I'm not even going to give a flavor description of everything I want you to come give them a try. Give my town a try. I know we will be back. The Rice Paper food was supurb, mango salad lightly dressed and well balanced flavor, the garden rolls and sauce were excellent, the shrimp with noodles also delicious! My son and I had a delicious meal of rice paper and fried spring rolls, steak pho and chicken pho. My first time trying pho and I loved it! Food was fresh and well presented. Tried to go a few weeks ago right after the great snow storm of 2018 and they were closed - understandably. But I've had it on my mind to visit ever since and finally got the chance tonight. I was not disappointed!! My husband and I ordered pho and it hit the spot!! There was something for my little kids and my teenager, which is tricky taking them to somewhere new but they loved it!! I really like the atmosphere and the menu variety here. But one of my favorite dishes is yellow curry and I just don't feel like they have mastered the right ingredients here. I can't put my finger on it but it's just different. It's not gross. It's pretty good but I guess I have had better. They actually put something other than potatoes in that dish today and I'm thinking it was yucca. I tried Pho for the first time also and it has like a sweet taste to it. I ordered the seafood pho and there was not a lot of seafood but definitely a lot of noodles. Anyway, there are many great things to try on that menu. I may just stick to something like chicken satay. I tried there rice wrap rolls and there is something in them that I do not like at all. I'm wondering if it is the wrap itself that's kind of chewy or if it was the sausage that they use. We also tried the fried spring rolls and those were good but that clear sauce not so much. The sweet tea did not disappoint. The service is good. I say, check it out. Side note: This is my third time coming here. The second time I did have the bun bho Xao and it was good but it needed more cilantro and cucumbers... And well flavor all around. read more

I can't believe I've discovered this place in High Point! It's a great Vietnamese place. The decor is lovely. You can tell the owners really put a lot of effort into this restaurant. It's kind of a mom and pop type place, but looks much nicer. The service is a little slow, but they're a new restaurant and they're hiring, so it's forgivable. The food was really good. I got the pho and my fiancé got the lemongrass short ribs rice dish. We shared the fresh salad rolls (your classic fresh spring roll) and enjoyed it. Now, for what really matters: THE PHO. I judge every Vietnamese restaurant I encounter on the quality of their pho. The meat: tender and plentiful. Exactly how I would serve it at my own house, but not the best I've ever had 9/10 Veggies: enough for most people, but I like lots of herbs. Fresh and clean. 9/10 The noodles: they serve a thicker noodle than most places, but it tastes the same. Not over cooked, which isn't available everywhere. 9/10 Broth: the most important part. Your broth makes or breaks your pho. This is what makes me love this pho. It's clear and flavorful and complex and lovely. I could taste the multiple spices in it. 10/10 Presentation: one of the best I've seen. It's not too fancy, but I don't like fancy presentations that make me scared to ruin it. The bowl is pure white and thick and sounds very heavy. It's also large enough to stir easily. It's served on a plate that holds your raw veggies. 10/10 Mood: this is the most subjective category. It's really just how the pho made me feel as I was eating it. I can't explain it. The heart wants what the heart wants. 10/10 Overall: this is a respectable pho. Not the greatest in the world or a perfect 10 (spoiler: there's no such thing as a perfect pho), but definitely my favorite in the Triad. 9.4/10 Seriously, give this place a visit if you like Asian food and live in the Triad. It'll be worth your while. We need to support places like this in High Point because we are in sore need of more of them. read more

I ordered a Vermicelli noodle bowl with Bbq pork, spring roll, bean sprouts, cucumber, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs topped with crushed roasted peanuts. I will have to say for a two dollar sign restaurant they sure are very expensive!! for some spring rolls and they were small and then they cut it into half to make it seem like there is a lot(not possible) it's 8.00!!!! The food was fabulous!! The chicken lemongrass was my favorite. Fresh rolls with shrimp were also very good. My friend liked her short ribs as well. The shrimp and mango salad was good but very light and not filling -- a good starter. Everything was fresh and flavorful and reasonably priced. Our service was very good. This our first trip to this restaurant. We arrived at 3pm. We had Vietnamese special sandwich, House Pho, and Chicken Satay. They were fresh and delightfully seasoned. The pho broth was complex and delicious. The waitress was great answering our questions and tips on how to eat foods that were new to us. The decor was fresh, tablecloths with glass tops, chopsticks on table tops. The china was new, white and made for an excellent presentation. Will definitely be repeat customers. read more

I actually complimented the food in my first review, however stated that the service and preparation of the food was very slow and also I felt that their boba teas were overpriced for the small quantity and they went as far as searching up, and harassing me and my girlfriend on Facebook. Multiple fake accounts were created and we were constantly harassed. If this goes on any further, I'm going to investigate and pile up evidence for a lawsuit.you can believe I am never going back there again! P.S this app is created for honest reviews and feedback. This is a wonderful new addition to the High Point restaurant scene. The owner has completely redone the interior of the restaurant from when it was the Village Cafe, and it is now attractively decorated to reflect the Vietnamese food being served. It is also comfortable - nowadays new restaurants tend to use wooden benches and chairs that are hard to sit on. Hurrah for Rice Paper being thoughtful enough to have seat cushions for customer's comfort! The food served is authentic Vietnamese, and everything is made fresh. We have had delicious meals here, and we are getting a kick out of being able to try new things. The menu is extensive, and the staff is more than willing to explain the dishes. The staff is as friendly as you can get, and you are treated so nicely it's an extra special touch on top of the delicious food. It's obvious that a great deal of thought and effort has gone into the opening of Rice Paper. We are very fortunate to have this restaurant near our neighborhood. The food was delicious, and the service was definitely very polite, but lacking in attentiveness. It took about 10 minutes to get water, took a very long time for our meals to come out, and once served, aside from the original waitress correcting our dishes which were put in front of the wrong person, we weren't checked on during the meal and didn't have waters refilled. I got the beef bun, which was good, though could definitely have used more veggies to balance it out, and was too spicy for my admittedly wimpy palate - still good, but I would have liked some hoison sauce to cut the heat a bit, but the waitress never came to check on us. We eventually had to go up and ask for the bill, even after telling them we were in a rush as we were seeing a show in less than an hour (and yes, we arrived in plenty of time to eat a sit down meal). All in all, the food was really yummy, and I would definitely eat here again, but definitely not if I was in a rush or super hungry/thirsty. read more

We've been to Rice Paper now, three times, and every time it has been absolutely amazing! I am not Vietnamese nor have I visited so I can not attest to the authenticity of the flavors. What I do know is that the food is always fresh and the flavors are always wonderful. I eat a plant based diet and there are so many delicious options for me, even a few amazing desserts made with coconut milk! We used to drive an hour round trip for Pho Hien Vuong to get our fix, this place is a close competitor when it comes to flavors and quality ingredients and is only 7 minutes from our house! We always feel totally welcome as soon as we walk in, like they are grateful we want to come spend our money and we are so happy to support a locally owned business. read more

As mentioned elsewhere, dishes come out of the kitchen one at a time, making service painfully slow with patrons at the same table eating in shifts as the food comes out. Vegetarian spring rolls were the worst we have ever had in our lives -- the outside was really hard, burned and it was virtually impossible to figure out what the inside of the rolls was filled with although rice was probably one of the ingredients. The grilled pork chops were very fatty/gristlely and had little flavor. The fish sauce was watery and also lacked flavor. Even the rice which accompanied our lunch was dry and didn't seem freshly cooked. The tiny salad on the plates was definitely NOT fresh and we figured that if this simple thing wasn't right, it was a harbinger of more crappy and uncaringly prepared food to come.
