Shhhh don't tell anyone, but this Thai spot is the best in town! Great flavors, lots of seating, quick service, and decent portions. We will be back for sure again and again. The space is very clean and modern looking. We took three dishes home too. So much to try!

Just really annoyed about charging extra for requesting a more saucy Pad See Ew. If they didn't skimp on this to begin with, I wouldn't have to special request it. This place has gone down from before.

Chic phad Thai, chicken satay, and beef spicy soup. With coffee Boba. It's aight.....have had better.

Food was so sweet. It was ok but not going back. The soup was even sweet instead of hot amd spicy like my brother ask for- the phad Thai I got was ok but also sweet. Just weird.

Omgod its so good. I love the feel and taste of the pad see ew and the tender beef to go with it. The curry was on point. And the chicken was nice and big. I could be a little drunk but that it the spot with a pow!

This review is solely based on the food, as we ordered our food to-go. I can definitely say that I was not expecting much from a Thai spot all the way in Lake Stevens. I had relatively low expectations coming in, but each item we ordered blew me away. We had the papaya salad (5 stars spice level) and while many other Thai restaurants dumb down the spice even for 5 stars, the spice was was definitely there at Rice Up Thai. The other dish I tried was the Ka Prou Gai Kai Dow. This is one of my all time favorite Thai dishes. This was also ordered at 5 stars spice and it also did not disappoint. There is a large variety of menu items so I would definitely come back and try some other dishes the next time that I am in the area.

Walked into a warm welcome by friendly workers. Ambiance was a vibe. Ordered their prawns Pad Thai. Came out in timely manner. Would definitely recommend!

Crispy garlic chicken and phad Thai (chicken)

Pretty underwhelmed by tonight's dinner. The phad Thai lacked flavor and was dry and bland, and the crispy garlic chicken (which we always order extra chicken on) was the size of a regular portion. I called and was assured it was extra and I was that was disappointing. (I also agree with the other review saying they changed their breading or recipe because it is not the same as it used to be, which was way more flavorful and better) This used to be our go to spot for the last 5-7 years.... but the last two times we have not been impressed. We won't be going back and will be choosing other Thai restaurants. My photo is after i did a small scoop out, but it was just blah. We also ordered 3 stars and there was zero heat. Wildly inconsistent.

    Tom Yum Bowl ( Beef,1* ) $17.99

Ordered take out Tom Yum Bowl ( Beef,1* ) Specified to be 1 star. Paid $21.46. This is the price of soup $17.99 + tax + 10% tip. We picked it up. The soup consisted from water + spices + a few raw mushrooms and some beef. And I mean SPICES. It was not "1 star" but inedible - so hot!!! The woman on the phone told me that their soup base is spicy and "everyone knows that". Also advised me to calm down and boil some water to add and dilute the spice. No refund offered, no replacement. After I managed to calm down I did boil some water. Which didn't help of course. I just separated with $22 in exchange for nothing. Never again at this place even though we have been loyal customers for years. Never, ever.

Love this place. My go to for Thai. Three stars is pretty spicy depending on whim of the cook. If it's the lady owner cooking, the spicy level is gonna get real! This honey pork is a game changer. Best ever dish.

We typically order from another Thai place in town but wanted to try something new and this has been recommended to us. We did a to go order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. When I walked in there was a very upbeat atmosphere and probably eight or so people working. Several orders lined up meant it likely had to be good food. My husband got the pad see ew and I got the pad Thai - both chicken and both four stars. We both loved our meals and the heat was up there! If you only want a little spice I would recommend going lower but we love spicy. I am curious to know what the five star is like. There was enough for us both to have lunch the next day as well. We will definitely be ordering from here again. So good!

Potstickers. I liked the flavorful filling

What's up? Rice Up is the answer! Tucked away in a strip mall is this Thai gem and it is an great find. It is decorated well and very busy with take out orders when we arrived. We were quickly seated. With the doors always opening and closing you can get a draft so if you are weary of the cold weather, wear a sweater. Now onto the food. We quickly browsed the menu and ordered: 1) potstickers - the kids wanted potstickers. We ordered them and they were piping hot and crisp. Really tasty. 2) Chicken satay. We got (4ea) generous sized skewers. Juicy and hot and served with a little slaw, some pickled vegetables and peanut sauce. This was good and had a nice curry flavor to it. 3) Massamun curry - good and full of tender carrots and potatoes. 4) Crispy garlic chicken - so crispy and tender. Sweet and savory and basily. Can't go wrong with this one! 5) Phad see ew - this one was standard fare for me. Not the best, but still made well. 6) Honey pork with sticky rice. This was my favorite for the evening and the kids loved it as well. Note this was a special that had and not a regular menu item (though it should be!). Overall this place is friendly, clean and provides really tasty food. We would definitely come back there for more!

    The receipt

My mother comes here all the time. Usually, it is a good experience. Today, we ordered takeout: spice level 3 phad won sen and spice level 2 phad thai. We started eating and noticed the spice levels were way hotter from what we are used to (her and I both like spicy food). My mother gets the same dish and spice level every time so she could easily tell it was way hotter than usual. We called to ask if the spice levels changed and they said no. We explained the situation and the woman on the phone responded with, "Well what do you want me to do? We haven't gotten any other complaints". We were respectful and rational on the phone so it was quite disappointing to have zero accommodation in addition to the woman being unthoughtful on the phone. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. It's a shame because my mother really enjoyed this place.

We ordered a vegetarian thai basil, fried rice.. it was spicyyyyyyyyyyyy .. we were actually seeing red chilies flakes on the rice and it was extremely spicy. Thought of calling them and returning it, but it was too late... we picked it just before they closed.. we also ordered a tofu drunken noodle.. noodle was good, but the tofu was really dry... it was ok ok. I ordered the chicken pad Thai one star, and the chicken paneng curry substitute the bell pepper for potato. I could hear the wok sizzling in the back. My food came out pretty quickly. The pad Thai is amazing, saucy which I love, and you can see little bits of the char from wok. The paneng was good, it was a little bland, almost like it needed more panang curry paste. Also I wish there were more vegetables in it without having to pay extra. My favorites I like to add in is baby corn, carrots and bamboo. There was enough food to last me three meals. They have good Thai food for the area.

Thai and Taps is a solid Thai spot in Snohomish. They have online ordering, parking isn't too bad,…read moreand I've never had any complaints about their food. I've been to T&T maybe 4-5 times since it opened a couple years ago. I've dined in and picked up take-out. Both experiences were great. The service was fast and efficient -- no frills, taking orders/filling drinks/etc. The inside is very bright and nice on a sunny day and they have some covered, outdoor seating on their patio. I think when the weather is bad, they don't have people out there, though. I usually get American-popular-dishes... like Crispy Garlic Chicken and Phad Thai, and it's always been great. Like most places, they let you order most stuff on a spicy-scale from 1 to 5 stars (where 5 stars is the spiciest). I've had their version of 5-stars and it's not over-the-top or anything... just a normal, American-friendly Thai place. The food is always super hot and fresh, though -- and they pack it well (in styrofoam and a plastic bag), so it stays nice and hot until I get home or wherever I'm going. So... appreciate that, even though it's a bit eco-unfriendly. Parking is usually pretty good on Ave A. where they're located. There's a weird, Bank of America ATM kiosk thing next door that is a convenient spot to temporarily park when there's nothing else available. They also usually have at least one "15 min parking" spot nearby for curbside/take-out purposes, so thats super nice and always convenient. I've been here during lunch and dinner and never had a problem getting parking nearby -- maybe it's a quieter street or something. Online ordering is through the "Smile Dining" platform. Their menu is accurate, there's lots of places to put customizations, and I've never had an issue with an order being missed or late or something. So... A+ there. Overall... I really couldn't ask for anything more than Thai and Taps. Actually, one thing I've never explored is the "Taps" part of their name - i'm not certain they have a large, craft beer menu or anything. I could be wrong... but if you're looking for that, you might be disappointed.

In long I've driven past this place dozens of times without even noticing it--their sign is small and kind of faint, and it's an old house. Blends into the background a little, though it turns out to have excellent word of mouth now that I know about it. I came in for a late lunch and got a table immediately. There are half a dozen tables inside, about the same outside. The covered patio is very comfortable and on a perfect sunny summer day there aren't many better settings. The menu is about 100 items or so--apps, salads, a few soups, lots of noodle dishes and entrees. I checked out the Bangkok Spices, which is listed as a spicy dish. They offer five stars of spiciness, which turned to make me wipe my nose maybe once, but definitely wasn't overwhelming. The dish was just great, though: Fresh veg, nice moist white chicken, tasty fresh soft rice. The kitchen is a quiet storm of non-stop banter in Thai, but the menu (and spice levels) are very Americanized. Snohomish is a very caucasian place, so this makes some sense. The server seemed like a local, just the loveliest, sweetest kid. Very attentive and always working. I didn't order a beer but they have maybe 8 taps, focused on hoppy stuff and crisp lagers from good breweries. Good choices for a menu like this for sure. I'd come back here any time, very happily. But I do need to say there are Thai places closer to home and a few of them are a little more ambitious in the kitchen.

We started with the pumpkin tempura. It was crispy on the outside, with a naturally sweet pumpkin inside. It was really delicious. It came with a dipping sauce, though the portion felt quite small. The side of lettuce and a chunk of purple cabbage felt a bit odd presentation wise, but once we wrapped everything together and dipped it, it tasted great. For my main, I ordered the vegan herb tofu salad with medium spice. It was mostly fried tofu tossed in a herb dressing with mint, tamarind, and cilantro. The flavor was a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy. It honestly reminded me a bit of pani puri. That said, the sweetness was a bit overpowering and made the dish slightly sticky. If they toned that down, it would be perfect. We also tried the vegan 17th curry fried rice, which was good. The curry flavor was subtle. My toddler absolutely loved it. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for vegans. The food was good, with the only downside being that some dishes leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was okay, not exceptional, but not bad either. I had visited this place about three years ago on a busy Friday night and had a pretty poor service experience, so I wanted to give it another shot on a weekday. The food has improved, and the service was decent this time around.
