Delightful hidden gem of a Thai restaurant tucked in Arlington, WA. We drove through town on a Friday evening on our way back from a hike, and we randomly decided to stop by for a quick bite. Despite our lack of planning, Suda Thai ended up being the perfect post-hike refuel. The food was remarkably flavorful, filling, and affordable, and it was exactly what we needed after a long day of being outside. We ordered and split the pad see ew with tofu and the fish curry (which includes fish fillets, carrots, peas, and bell peppers in a green curry sauce). The fish curry was remarkably flavorful, with great depth and a comfortable spice level that gradually builds over time without overwhelming your tastebuds. Their spice scale technically goes from 1-5, but you're welcome to order higher levels if you want something that feels a bit more authentic (our server said that some patrons go all the way up to 25). The pad see ew was also delicious; the rice noodles had a great chew and were delightfully flavorful, and I loved that they used marinated extra firm tofu for a bit of extra texture. The space is pretty utilitarian but still feels quite cozy, especially with how friendly the staff is. One of the tables next to us was occupied by a family of regulars, and the owner even brought out a holiday special for them that he thought they'd especially enjoy; I loved how close of a personal relationship the staff seemed to have with local visitors, and it's clear how deep their community ties run. read more

Avoid this place! This place has terrible service and food and they don't care. This restaurant must be a front for something as they have little concern for repeat customers. They must launder money here or perhaps they make the food with the dirty laundry. Will never return even if this were the last restaurant remaining on the planet. Just rotten food. Been dining in and doing take-out at Suda Thai (Arlington Thai) for several years. The food is consistently good, fresh, and tasty. Our most recent order was one we often enjoy: Seafood Sweet and Sour, and Veggielovers with tofu. Rice is extra, we like the brown. Service is very efficient and friendly. We stopped here on our way to North Casacades National Park. We were surprisily impressed for Thai in a small town. We got the calamari appetizer which was just okay as I prefer rings and this was strip-style. However, our 2 main dishes were delicious. I got the Tom Ka soup - chicken, with basil added. It was superb. Real homemade broth with ginger, lime leaves, lemongrass, etc. Bold flavors! My partner got broccoli lovers with ginger added. It too was delicious. The owner was the server and he was a delightful man sharing stories with us. Highly recommend if you are craving Thai. read more

I got coconut prawns which did not have a trace of coconut in them they tasted like just deep fried prawns I also got pineapple chicken curry and it was horrible it was a greasy broth no curry in it at all , unfortunately it's a 1 star for me ....not impressed with the food and too expensive for the quality they give ...wont be going back read more

After reading the reviews, I had a good idea of what not to order. I ordered the ginger delight I think, did not disappoint. Thai chillies in fish sauce were all eaten by me as I was with my family. We thought a small town Thai restaurant would be average. However, I was really impressed with the amazing food. Everything we ordered was fresh, presented an outstanding aroma and full of flavor. The mix of Chinese influence and That was a great combo. The carrots and broccoli were fresh. Not soggy like most Asian restaurants. (Selling earlier that day veggies.) The beef broccoli was my favorite. The only issue was the shrimp fried rice. The rice was wet and made like a traditional dry rice. Overall the dinner was excellent and we will be back. read more

Food was delicious, exactly what we ordered and came quickly. It looked beautiful, tasted authentic and fresh, and had the layers of flavor that made the number of stars we ordered balance perfectly. One of the best we have had. The only down was that the egg rolls came to the table scorching hot temp. Service was quick, friendly, and not too interrupting. We did have to ask for a drink refill, but all else was excellent. They came straight away to care for us, had boxes and curry cups ready without us asking, and had our bill ready before we wanted to leave. If I had a suggestion it would be to get up off your butt when we walk in, greet us and kindly say "you can sit anywhere" instead of sitting there on your phones and grumbling "find a seat".... The restaurant was clean looking and quiet. No crazy incense. The bathroom was adequate, but had 5 gel air fresheners on the towel rack (to keep it smelling ok?) Love this place! You can place a takeout order online very easily! Never had a problem with it too. It's a bit on the smaller scale size wise, but big things come in small packages, and this place packs flavor with no shortcuts (or very well infused shortcuts). Tried their Pad Thai on the first visit and man this was the best I've had from all over this nation! Some places will use ketchup in their Pad Thai and most fail miserably with it. If I ever taste ketchup in Pad Thai...sorry but you are off the radar for me man. The noodles and all was just on point! I ordered it with 3 stars and I can handle some heat. This one was just right with the 3 star spice. Even though 3 stars seems a bit less than other 3 star heat from other places. Second visit I had the Tom Ka with chicken and again...on point! Flavor all around just got along and made the dish. Chicken was good. 3 stars on the heat level of the Tom Ka and it was consistent with the 3 star spice on the Pad Thai. To make the 3 star spice consistent between 2 dishes just tells me this chef is well aware of what they are sending out and takes pride in shipping out quality. Gross, terrible service, so salty couldn't eat it, complained they didn't care the pad thai was salty and no sauce dry gross noodles with alot of cabbage. My brother and I ate here yesterday for lunch. We both ordered the Pad Kee Mao five stars hot. At most Thai restaurants when you order five star it seems to be more like two or three star. Buyer Beware.... Horrible Customer Service first of all from the owner himself, which is weird for a small town. The worst Tai food that I have ever tasted, don't understand how it gets a 4 star, must be from people that don't know real Tai food. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and the owner brought out Shrimp Pad Thai and we told him that we didn't order Shrimp he played stupid and then said nothing and walked away and upon his return of Chicken Pad Thai the owner placed it in the table and said not one word to us and walked away. With all tge bad customer service we received to this point we decided to leave and asked for to go containe and the containers that they gave us were these plastic 1lb deli salad container so I to use 3 containers and no bag to take my whole Pho Soup home in. read more

My husband and I went in on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was not very busy two other maybe three other customers it took us 45 minutes to get our food. We ordered simply pod Thai, fresh rolls and pho soup. the fresh rolls were filled with lettuce even sprouting out the top barely any shrimp in them something crunchy in the middle. I'm not sure what that was almost like a fried wonton maybe? The pod Thai is possibly the worst I've ever had it tasted like they took some jarred sauce and dumped it over my noodles actually saturated my noodles with it. it had some weird smoky flavor to the chicken. The pho soup was very bland. Nothing to write home about had a sweet, similar smoky taste to it. fast-forward, the Owner brought us our food after 45 minutes and he brought my pod Thai as shrimp and I had ordered chicken. When I tried to explain this to him he copped an attitude, grab my plate and walked away. We then decided neither one of us cared for our food or the atmosphere so we had decided it was time to go. we asked the owner for some to go boxes, and he pointed to a stack of small plastic bowls and trays on the counter. my husband had to put his bowl of pho soup into three different containers. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in our small town. I will never return.. and sadly, the owner didn't seem to care. read more

Pretty good Thai food, but nothing terribly special. I realize this area caters to a more Americanized palate, which I understand. Both pad Thai and pad see ew were very sweet and not spicy even when 5star was requested. However, both were tasty. The fresh rolls were my favorite part: good peanut sauce and crispy wonton in the middle for a nice crunch. One gripe I have is that they don't offer sambal (chili paste) which is my go to hot sauce for Thai food. They do however have sriracha and chili oil on the tables. Do not come here. Horrible customer service. My son ordered orange chicken with noodles and 2 egg rolls. They gave him chix and 2 sides of noodles. $30 for lunch. We took the noodles back and said the order was wrong. The owner got aggressive and started saying he has cameras. Over a lousy bowl of noodles. I live w blocks from this place and wouldnt go back if you paid me. He was so aggressive over noodles that he charged $5 for and probably cost pennies. So disrespectful. Placed an order to pickup. Small order, 2 entrees. When I went inside I gave my pickup number which was reciprocated with a rude attitude off the get go. I was told my order was $56 which seemed odd to me so I asked the cashier to check the order with which he responds by grabbing my card off the counter and placing it in the machine. I shrug it off thinking he's just an a-hole so I grab my food and leave but to my surprise when I get home I check the tag on the food and it reads $40.08... And as for the food, it is mid on the quality of Thai in Snohomish/King County. Go to Lakewood Thai instead. read more

The name on the awning is Chansuda so don't get confused looking for this place. It is a typical Thai restaurant... nothing jumps out but nothing falls flat either. Stopped in for lunch and each of the three meals was excellent. Peanut sauce was superb. Everything was fresh, tasty, and as one would expect. A real bright spot was the price which was a couple of bucks less per dish than seems to be typical. We didn't cleanup the rice so the owner suggested that next time we say no rice and he will increase the other ingredients to offset it. We will be going back! read more

Great variety of Thai dishes. Google maps took me to a Mexican restaurant but if you keep walking down the street, you'll find it. I ordered pad see ewe with beef. Pretty typical and a fair price. I asked for chopsticks and the young man said they were in the bag. When I got back to my office, no chopsticks. When I opened the container, it was only half of pad see ewe. Th rest was white rice which is not at all necessary with a noodle dish. Tasted subpar and not at all authentic. read more

If you are willing to experience awful customer service then visit this establishment. We were driving from Seattle to the North Cascades National Park and decided to stop for a quick bite. We were seated for over 15 minutes before the owner took our order, despite having seen us. We ordered the pineapple fried rice and a chicken phad Thai. The rice was good but the phad Thai was basically floating in ketchup and all you could taste was the ketchup itself. It was simply un-eatable, unless you like to eat noodles stir fried with ketchup. When we politely asked the owner if he could make us a plate with no ketchup, he rudely responded that that is how they have been making it for over 7 years, and to eat it or leave it... we were shocked by the response and decided we would not have another bite as it was utterly disgusting. Unsurprisingly, upon checking out we were charged for the phad Thai, and once we refused to take it in a to go box the owner kept telling us that that is the number one selling item in their menu and we were the weird ones. We will never again set foot in this establishment and will make sure our friends and family stead clear from this restaurant. read more

Man....i eat here often since I work near by but this place really is a s**t hole.. The service is terrible unless you get the young kid, the dad and older brother are as rude and awkward as they come. Overall the food is ok..i guess. Often times we drive to Marysville instead which is 15min out of the way and better options. DO NOT ORDER THE PAD THAI ive had thai food in big and small cities all over the West Coast and its by far the worst ive had. I recommend the spring rolls..heavenly beef or tofu. If you enjoy authentic Thai food, steer clear. This place is as Americanized and watered down as they get. Example: their Phad Kee Mao and Phad See Ew taste identical and they (obviously) ought not. But to an undiscerning uncultured palette who knows not what Thai food should be, it's just meh...stir-fried noodles with goopy brown sauce & stuff, and a variation on over-cooked soggy veggies. This place REEKED of Nag Champa incense which was burning profusely at the shrine non-stop while we were dining. We couldn't smell anything else but the incense, which is not advantageous for an establishment selling food that is supposed to be super enticing. Visited Suda Thai today for the first time. They're currently offering take out orders only due to Covid-19 precautions. I wanted to support a small, local restaurant . When I arrived there was quite a line! I ended up having to wait about 45 minutes for my order because of the dinner time rush but was assured by others waiting that the food was definitely going to be worth the wait. The owner apologized for the wait with a free Thai iced tea and potstickers in my order! It was AMAZING. It was some of the best Thai food I've ever had!
