So nice to have another option for Korean food in the Lakeview neighborhood! This local spot is serving up a wide variety of traditional fare alongside some popular street food staples. The interior has a fun k-pop inspired decor and the vibe was pretty calm on a weeknight. This is a nice place to visit for a no frills, quality meal. The staff was attentive and efficient throughout. We started off with a generous amount of complimentary banchan, so we knew we'd be in for a treat. The pickled radish and kimchi particularly stood out. For appetizers, we ordered the fried rice cakes and kimchi pajeon. Both were extra crispy and super well done! The former was dressed in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. For mains, we split the dubu kimchi (spicy pork with tofu), jaengban guksu (green tea noodles), and the weekly special, jogbal (pig's trotters). The first dish was my favorite, although I wish the pork had been more tender and the tofu stir-fried in with the dish. The green tea noodles were refreshing and light- I could definitely drink the sweet and spicy sauce! I had not tried pig's trotters before, and it was among the most tender meat I've had. I'm not sure it's for me personally, but if you are a fan of very strong, meaty flavors, this is definitely worth a try. We left very full with plenty of leftovers, so the food is a great value. Already looking forward to the next visit and trying more of the menu!

So happy I could cry! We came here after some late night drinking as they are open until Saturday nights until 12 am and I am so happy we stopped here! I got the spicy pork belly bowl and everything was fantastic even the lettuce which is seasoned in a sesame dressing. The pork belly was nicely seasoned and the provided a spicy side sauce which only complimented the pork belly even more The banchans on the side were a nice touch but I wanted to give an honorable mention to the spicy Kim Chi. Oh my, this has to be the best Kim Chi I have ever tasted, spicy, sour and umami. I am ready to buy a whole jar and eat this for the rest of my life ! Service was amazing! They saw that I demolished the Kimchi and brought me double servings without any extra charge. The restaurant was extremely clean with kpop music playing along with kpop decor . Super cute! Counting down the days until I can go back !

Skip the burger and head to this authentic Korean restaurant! Their made to order food is worth it! Family owned and full of flavor right here is East Lakeview!

We came here on Friday night on a whim. We realized we passed by before and was glad we stopped in. The exterior is a pretty distinctive shade of blue of a corner lot. Modern QR menu. Ample seating for large or small groups. There were plenty of great options. We started with fried rice cake and I got a musubi as well. Very tasty. The musubi was really good. I lived in Hawaii for about 6 years and had my fare share. Our kimchi came out just before the main course. Very tasty. Can't go wrong with beef bulgogi, very tasty and perfectly cooked. I was very satisfied with my meal and am looking forward to returning. The service was great and friendly. Fun decor and the neighborhood could really use a good Korean spot.

To Korean Cuisine turns out to be a gem. First off the food tasted divine. I ordered the vegetarian bowl. It came with tofu, mung beans, sautéed mushrooms, sliced cabbage, carrots, lettuce and sesame seeds accompanied by white rice. I wanted to eat it slowly so I could savor the flavor. Joseph ordered the beef bowl. The appetizers tasted perfect. It came with Ming beans, kimchi cabbage, spinach. The service ranks a perfect 10. To Korean Cuisine celebrates Korean culture by showcasing Korean musical acts such as Black Pink and BTS. All around the TV stations show sports game, and music videos. I really like the vibe. Bring friends, family and dates. I highly recommend it.

To Korean Cuisine, has the best jajang myun (black bean noodles) in Chicago. The owner spoke to my friend and I, and she shared with us that all the food and side dishes are made daily. You can really tell that all the food is made daily and how tasty everything is. The chicken wings are halal which is great for people looking for halal chicken! If you haven't tried To Korean Cuisine, you must go and give them a try! I promise you won't be disappointed! And the bath room is really nice here too!

A great Korean restaurant on Broadway. We came for dinner and really enjoyed the meal, the dishes were all flavorful. I never had the Doenjang Jjigae, which was pretty good and great on a cold night. If you're in the area, give it a try!

Nice corner place in a very cool and hip area on broadway with so many Asian restaurants on this same block. The tables are nice and the interior is very colorful and cute signs. They have charging stations at some of the tables. That's a very nice thing. Parking is on the street and on weekdays you pay about $2.50 an hour. On weekends after a certain time it's free. Good was fresh and I ordered the kimbop and they allowed it to vegetarian minus the pork. It was very fresh and just enough to eat and it also came with 5 side dishes which were also very fresh. The kimchi was super spicy (to me) so I had to drink lots of water. Yikes.

To Korean Cuisine is easily one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Chicago! We got the Dakdoritang, Jajangmyeon, and Jogbal. The Jogbal was our favorite... the meat was soooo tender and the side items and dips completed the braised pig so well. It was so fun creating our lettuce wraps, but the pig was also amazing alone or with rice. The Dakdoritang was a close second for our favorite dish! The chicken stew tasted so homey and comforting, and you can really taste the bone marrow in the broth. This may be my new go-to on a cold day actually. We also tried the To Green cocktail which was melon flavored and made with Melona ice cream. It was the perfect drink and sweet treat all in one! The interior was so colorful and fun as well -- inspired by the bright colors in Squid Games!

Then I saw the KBBQ menu and all bets were off. I immediately pivoted and ordered the chef's tasting set, the Diweji, featuring pork jowl, pork collar, and pork belly, complete with an assortment of banchan. Zero regrets. And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

We ordered a seafood soup, seafood pancake, and a salmon crunch roll. We quickly realized that this was an atypical Korean restaurant experience as we did not receive banchan and there were not many traditional options on the menu. I think that should've been our cue to go, but we stayed and were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask multiple times when it was coming, and when the food finally came out, it was underseasoned and the texture was very off. The seafood pancake tasted deep fried and had chunks of imitation crab. It had the texture of an unrisen focaccia. The soup was tasteless, and the salmon roll was drenched in mayo and eel sauce. They also gave us a "special" hot sauce that tasted like just a mix of sriracha and Tabasco. Small highlights: the ambiance was nice; it seemed clean. Waiter was nice enough. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was quite a shocking meal.

You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. I went back to the hostess showing the 8:15 resy I got and she said it wasn't accurate and if someone booked it and came they would refuse them (what???!! There's a cancellation fee as well). I asked about the 8:45 and her coworker said that IS available. I was confused, because a minute ago she said they were fully commited. Which I said back, she said there is actually an 8:45 (okay so you lied). I asked if we could put our name down for that and did. After that extremely strange interaction, which I was not used to after eating at many higher end restaurants we sat down at 8:45. We ended up getting a mix of small plates. The waiter was clearly trying to sell us their expensive courses for his tip though he was very sweet... which he may not have realized we had an expense budget for work and we were trying not pass that. He emphasized the small plates were small and not enough food which we fell for and got more and had way too much food and passed our expense budget due to it. The food is great, it's the service that has work to do especially for such a high price tag. Get the chicken for sure. Dumplings you can pass on. The broccolini (not pictured) is great as well. Amazing sauce. As the food is good I would not come here again due to the service as their are other restaurants that are more buttoned up than this.
