When I went to pick up my car, I was shocked to find the total was over $1,800. That's a major increase that should have been clearly communicated beforehand. If I had been informed, I could have decided whether to move forward with the repair. Instead, I was put in a position where I had no choice but to pay in order to get my car back. On top of that, after looking up the cost of the parts, it appears they mark them up by at least 40%. Proceed with caution. People don't write bad reviews for absolutely no reason.

Arguing with parts company that sent wrong part to determine who is at fault but not getting the part or keeping me informed. Customer since about 2016 and they have repaired 100 cars ahead of mine in the second half of July. Would you trust them or risk them doing this to you, randomly?

From the moment we arrived, the unprofessionalism was staggering. The mechanic made snarky, derogatory comments about my husband to another customer right in front of him, and then deliberately ignored my husband's presence until he was forced to step forward. Even then, the mechanic refused to greet him and simply snatched the keys. The situation escalated unnecessarily when the mechanic became aggressive, falsely claiming our car's windows were illegally modified and tinted. Despite my husband remaining completely calm, polite, and explaining that the windows were factory-standard, the mechanic used it as an excuse to double down on his hostility. It was entirely clear that this was not just a case of poor customer service, but targeted bias. No paying customer should ever be subjected to this level of disrespect and malice. If you "look different", I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere to avoid being humiliated by this staff's ignorance. Management seriously needs to look into their team's behavior, as we will never step foot in this place again.

I had the worst experience of my life with Hernandez Towing company. October 22, 2025…read more Do not allow this company to tow your vehicle under any circumstances. Do not trust the Hernandez Towing under any condition. The mechanics at Hernandez Towing purposely damaged my radiator after they replaced the alternator on my Mercedes Benz. I didn't have any fluid leaking from my car when my vehicle was towed, no radiator leaks or oil leaks. When I returned to the shop to pick up my car, antifreeze was pouring out of my car. When I addressed the radiator leak with one of the mechanics, all of the mechanics in the shop walked away and would not look me in my eyes. I disputed the issue calmly then I asked the owner how much would the repair cost. He said $535. I live 640 miles from Hernandez Towing company and they new that. Thus, I was forced to have my radiator replaced. Most importantly, I had to book a room at a hotel because the new radiator would not be delivered until the next morning. So I am stuck in Virginia. Mnd you, my radiator didn't have a leak or any issues until my car was serviced at the shop. In addition, one of the mechanics purposely placed my steering wheel red warning light on. The red warning light appeared on my dashboard when I put the key in the ignition. The mechanics were trying create a third issue with my car, but that didn't work because the only way that emergency light comes on is when it is pulled manually inside my car. That warning light lever for the steering wheel is hidden under the steering wheel. Fortunately, I shut that dubious scam down. What is even more disturbing, when they replaced the radiator they didn't place new radiator hoses on the radiator. The owner told me to make sure I replaced the radiator hoses when I got home. Unbelievable! My car was held hostage by Hernandez Towing Company, Westchester Virginia until they received additional money for damages their mechanics purposely caused. I would never allow Hernandez Towing Company to towe my car or service my car.

(The young man that drove was very nice and dropped me off to get a rental car on the way.) Hernandez refused to tell my husband how much the tow was, wouldn't let him pay for the tow and he said he wouldn't charge us to store the car. He also said he would give us an estimate to fix the car and after many, many calls, it took two weeks to get a $3,500 estimate. The tow bill was $485 for towing us about 10 miles. And he wanted to charge us $90/day ($1,890) to store the car when we wanted it back, even though he had told us he would not charge us to store the car! In the end, he didn't charge us for the tow and gave us $200 for our low mileage 2004 Honda Accord that wasn't that badly wrecked. Totally bad experience. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS BUSINESS. There is a reason Hernandez has such low ratings. ugh

Aaraon took me back into the garage to the technician that was inspecting my vehicle. The technician shows me that the bulb pops out the backside and just needed to plug in the new one, but it was $20 for him to plug it in ($2 for bulb) and that he would tighten my battery box. I told him if the battery wasn't installed correctly I would just take it over to Honda and have them fix it, but if it just needed the nut tightened I would do it. Then I was advised he would have to have a rejection sticker if he backed my car out of the garage, even though it still has the current sticker on it. I told him to go ahead and do the bulb but just tighten down the nut myself, he told me he would give me a rejection sticker and I would have to bring it back to have it inspected again. $30 to do 30 seconds worth of work absolute fraud. Do don't go here come to these people for anything go over to Benton tire much better people to deal with. big time regrets for dealing with this crew. Winchester pep boys are bunch of crooks
