Extremely good! Definitely get a steak or pork chop. They are juicy, fresh and delicious. I would caution at getting the chicken Alfredo. It was institutional tasting, and surprising the chicken was just as bad. All you can eat fresh bread, salad, and soup with all dinner menu items. Worth the $$$ and is always good. :) read more

This is the farthest away restaurant that's been on my radar (about 95 minutes away), but we finally took the trip and I'm so glad we did. This place is wonderful, and not just for the food. The building itself is warm and inviting, with plenty of knick knacks all around and hidden in every corner. This building feels old and well-worn, but well-tended at the same time. I've never seen anything like it. After we ordered I had to walk around for 5 minutes just to look at everything, which is not something I normally feel the need to do. Since this was our first trip, I had to try the dish they're most famous for, the fork-tender one pound pork chop. They weren't kidding, I didn't need a knife at all. The taste reminded me of a pork roast more than a pork chop, but that's far from a deal breaker for me. The "special red sauce" as they call it was tangy and interesting, somewhere between BBQ sauce and ketchup (it's better than it sounds). I'm not a huge salad bar fan so I won't comment on that, but the bread and spreadables were delicious. My wife had a Hamma-Whamma-Jamma (ham and cheese) sandwich. She said it was delicious. Our server was wonderful. She was kind, talkative, smiled a lot, and clearly enjoyed her job. We didn't try any dessert, but we'll have to come back during the fall to try the Persimmon Pudding when it's in season. I've never heard of Persimmon before, but I love trying new things and it'll give us an excuse to make the long trek back to Casey. read more

Eating at Richard's Farm is always a treat for our family. The homemade bread and jam are wonderful! The lunch hot bar has a wide variety of selections. Today it was fried chicken, lasagna, liver, meatloaf, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, tomato soup, beef stew, apple crisp, and peach crisp along with the assortment on the salad/dessert bar. Good home cooked quality meal. The 1 pound pork chop lived up to the "fork tender" promise and the red sauce served with it was a nice compliment to the pork. I highly recommend the Wisconsin mushroom appetizer - simply outstanding! My one negative on the place was that service took too long. Basically looked like two waitresses had to cover the whole place but it was tolerable. Stopped by this place after a volleyball game it was a Sat afternoon, yes there was a lot of parents but we were all at different tables and the girls sat at a table together, my table was a table of 4 adults and 1 child n baby. We were told that they would refill hot bar, which did not happen I sat for 20 minutes needing a refill on my drink which did not happen, ordered 2 pieces of pie to go and was charged a gratuity on carry out pie. Needless to say we were all charged a gratuity for a table of 4 outrageous. Will not be back food was horrible and service also. read more

WHOA!!!!!!!! Found on yelp checked out the lunch menu before stopping in. Really cool atmosphere. We were seated promptly. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. Then we were given the menu, which is very different than the one posted on yelp! This is not a 2 $ dollar sign restaurant! The burgers were not $5.99 they are $11.99 and up. Needless to say we did not order lunch. It may have been delicious, we didn't stay to find out. May come back for dinner. Would like to try the rib eye steak. $27.99. read more

Found Richards listed in AAA tour book so gave it a try. Fast, friendly service. Love the old-time farm decor. Food was good, not great; but portions good. Let me start by saying that the best thing about this place was the bartender/ server. Super pleasant. The food left a lot to be desired!! The salad bar was sad. Most containers were empty!! To make matters worse I ordered their ribeye with a side of sweet potato fries. Couldn't believe what I got. I thought someone hadn't finished their steak and they had given it to me. Not only was it super thin for a $30 steak, but it was over cooked, dry, and served on a small appetizer plate. Horrible!! The server was kind enough to take it back and smart enough not to offer me a replacement. This place is such a disappointment!!!! Don't waste your time or your money. My wife and I had our wedding reception at Richard's, and we couldn't have been more satisfied! Many of our guests remarked about the quality and quantity of the food and about room and grounds. The room, which required very little decoration, was very comfortable and very charming. Our guests also had access to an outdoor patio area with a fire pit, yard games, and plenty of seats to enjoy the fall evening. The food and space were only beat by the service which was excellent from start to finish. We'd recommend Richard's to anyone. read more

Prices on Yelp are not accurate! The food was awesome I got some homemade lattice potato chips with a delicious blue cheese and bacon dipping sauce, and I hate blue cheese! We live in Florida however when we com up to visit the grandkids we make a point to stop at Richards Farm restaurant.in Casey IL. They have fresh. baked breads with a small variety of spreads. I love the cinnamon butter and the homemade strawberry preserves. Their soups are always very hot imaginative and delicious. Today they had sauerkraut and pork soup yummy!!! My husband and I had the taco and fajita bar for lunch. Everything was hot and fresh. Our granddaughter had a burger and fries. The fries were crispy on the outside and they were soft and tender on the inside. Her burger was cooked perfectly and it was so big she could not eat it all.
