The food is amazing with a fish and meat dish specials , different every night, along with their regular menu. Favorite is Westbrook herb and cheese filet. Staff is friendly and owners are amazing. The farmhouse is makes it a great place to dine. read more

My husband took me there for my birthday dinner last night for the first time. It was fan-freaking-tastic! Best meal I've had in a long time. Out in the middle of nowhere. Such great vibes. A beautiful old house. They seated us first in the parlor with settees and coffee table books for pre-dinner cocktails, if you like. Then off to your table for scrumptious food. Service was great and not pretentious. Wonderful pacing. We never had to ask for anything. I loved that they grew some of the fruit and veggies there on property. We had New Orleans style bbq jumbo shrimp and the bread basket for appetizers. Salads with a giant homemade crouton. My husband had a cheese and herb stuffed filet with roasted potatoes and bourbon brown sugar apples. I had chicken stuffed with prosciutto topped with basil cream sauce, roasted potatoes, and fresh green beans with onion and bacon. Both meals were excellent and promptly devoured. We capped off the night with coffee and an epic s'mores chocolate chip toasted marshmallow pie. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. We don't drink anymore, but the cocktail menu looked great and the wine selection was extensive and looked fairly priced. It was on the pricy side, but definitely worth it for a special occasion. Really stunned this restaurant has yet to be reviewed. The Westbrook is a landmark estate home built in the 1860's a few miles west of Paris, IL. It has been converted into a restaurant and vineyard. The restaurant captures the quaint hospitality and formal stature of the home. Andrew's is country cuisine for button-down shirt occasions. Beautiful dining rooms, fireplaces, spacious and clean restrooms. This restaurant is completely functional. Steak vealie for the appetizer. Large portion enough for four. Rich, creamy flavor to the cheese sauce, without the tart that can come from a blue cheese sauce. Just perfect. Bread was also perfect, a multigrain with a white. So often the crusts will be uninvitingly tough. Andrew's has a wonderful texture that complements a spread or sauce. Had the "famous" herb & cheese fillet of beef, accompanied by the roasted potatoes and zucchini mixed veg. Meat was cooked perfectly, able to cut with a butter knife. Potatoes were flavorful and fluffy, and the zucchini veg had strong, wonderful flavors that worked very well with the rest of the dish. Thousand leaves pastry for dessert (similar to a napoleon, but larger). A sweet and large dessert with bold vanilla flavor. Yes, they serve their own wines, a red and a white. The white begins like a Riesling, but takes a sharp, fruity bend and dries. The red is slightly dry and a good complement to their meat dishes. Very impressed by Andrew's, although pricey, it is an excellent place, and they provide the ambiance and experience one expects with a premium price. More critically, the potatoes were slightly inconsistent, a few not appearing their freshest. And the menu is very tame. Although all the bases are touched, nothing new is going to reveal itself on the menu, a reflection of the simplicity and tastes of rural downstate Illinois, and that is something worth appreciating. But, what about a vegetarian entree? Just a thought. The best of Illinois fine country cooking is presented at Andrew's. I really love this place, and would be proud to take my friends here to dinner. Strongly recommend reservations. read more

Food was very good. Prices are astronomical for the middle of nowhere. It would have been nice to know it was cash only at time of making reservation. We were caught off guard by no credit cards. At those prices they should eat the surcharge. read more

We went to this restaurant with friends on a Friday evening. I will say up front that the food and preparation was above reproach. Having said that, the pricing was much too high for the area and ambiance. Dinner for two, without appetizer or dessert was $104.00. I had salmon and my wife had grouper. The wine list is lengthy and priced at all levels. The white wines, for the most part, were of vintages (2014-2017) that were a bit old for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. As a rule, whites do not age well. We have dined in venues worldwide and have had comparable meals for less. read more

Beware of bait and switch on prices. The meal, atmosphere and everything else about Andrew's is superb. I just wasn't happy about the steep price change for menu items when we arrived. I read the menu on their website and understood that prices are subject to change....but the ribeye was $15 more expensive that night. Websites are not hard to change info on, and a closer price would have been nice. I'm not taking away from anything else about our experience that evening aside from the ridiculous price difference. read more

If I were to rate on value it would be lower. There were 4 for dinner and everyone agreed it was mediocre food and service. My rib-eye steak was of poor quality and preparation added nothing. One guest in our party had the filet and commented that the cheese was the best part of her entree. The veal had little flavor and again the quality of the meat was basic supermarket grade meat. Cute place with potential for an experience but they miss the mark with the quality. Nice wine list! read more

I have been going to Andrews for over 25 years. For special occasions and just to enjoy an excellent meal. They have had every opportunity to disappoint me in good food and service...and they have failed every time. This place consistently turns out excellent cuisine. And few restaurants know how to match appropriate side dishes to the main course. Andrews does. Soup! Every week is a different soup. Get the soup. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The food was outstanding and so was the service. The food is priced a bit higher than is normal for this area, but not outrageous. To be frank, sometimes you get what you pay for. This was one of those times. Well worth the 45 minute drive. read more

I first have to start out by saying that Andrews was once amazing. However my most recent visit was more comparable to Denny's leftovers with a side of unprofessionalism. I should have known when attempting to make reservations for mother's day and Cindy was rude, that this visit was not going to be enjoyable, she was rude and stated they were extremely busy, which is entirely understandable however either you have seating or you do not, most restaurants would not act inconvenienced. But we had always enjoyed our visits prior so I blew that off, needless to say big mistake on my part. While ordering beverages my spouse asked for a certain bourbon, the waitress stated they did carry it, it came out completely wrong, the waitress sent Andrews Wife to the table (Cindy) and she stated that was the correct bourbon most likely not made to his preference, but she would not make another drink just because he did not think it was strong enough, and if she took it back to the bar he would still be charged. So he said fine whatever you feel necessary and sent it back to the bar. Then the lamb came to the table and tasted more like over cooked swordfish with an attempted gravy. We asked the waitress for the bill so we could still make it back to Terre Haute to go to Stables. The poor waitress could see the dissatisfaction and apologized stating that she would have recommended another dish because the table next to us had the same issue, and she was sorry about Cindy's behavior over the drink being wrong and that she was at the bar when it was made, and in fact it was wrong however she is often rude to customers that do not frequent the restaurant. I have to say I really laughed because prior to this visit we ate there at least 6 x's per year. read more
