    Wife and I bought a car from Richards Honda last year. Repair technicians scratched and gouged the dashboard while replacing defective air vents. We came to Richards 3 separate times and waited for hours each time only to be told they "didn't have the parts, they ordered the wrong parts, and the wrong parts came." The level of incompetency is astounding to make us come out and wait hours on 3 separate times only for nothing to be down. This was a brand new car with the dashboard plastic ruined by the technicians. Even worse, before we moved to Houston Chelsea the technician told us that they could ship the parts to Houston Honda and have it repaired there for no additional cost, but after arriving here still have not had the parts shipped over, and Houston Honda is saying we have to pay to get it fixed now. Be extremely careful of the technicians and management here, I would recommend buying your car somewhere else if you have to get repairs and recall work done here. If you do have to get repairs done, get everything in writing and take pictures.

    BUYER BE WARNED! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM RICHARDS HONDA! I am actual customer, and saw recently they have a new dealership off of I-12 and the truth needs to be put out there so people know! Just a bigger facility with the same scams and schemes as the hole in the wall dealerships! They are not about the customer just moving units and their metrics! I bought a certified used Honda which I thought was a smart move since it would come with a warranty, at least you would think. In no time at all I had a few issues that I had to fight with them in order to make the repairs. The repairs were made but not after needless conversations. Poor customer service (on the phone and in person). They would put me on hold and never come back on the phone, or some how drop my call when they transferred me. I spent too much time just trying to get a hold of someone. The apathetic girl at the front desk was on a personal phone call on her cell phone. I know this because I stood there for over 5 minutes waiting for her to finish her call to help me. I have personally ran a successful business, and I would never allow my customers to be neglected or maltreated. Crappy touch ups with empty promises to fix and a bunch of run around! When my warranty was about to end I started to have paint issues on the trunk and rear driver's side quarter panel. I contacted them and they would not help me. They waited for the warranty to end then came the disingenuous phone call to see what was going on. They were very happy to let me know they could not do anything for me since my warranty time frame was done....even though I contacted them well before it was due to expire. (I will attach photos ASAP.) So I currently have a car with clear coat and paint peeling off and I am stuck with the cost of painting the car myself. On top of that there were a few other issues that I had during the warranty, but decided to take care of them myself to avoid dealing with Richard's Honda. They would call me once every few months to see how I was doing...but the purpose of the call was to tell me about their sales and beg me for referrals to boost their metrics. Until I started to have issues with my car and would keep calling them, all of a sudden the calls stopped. I welcome anyone from management at Richards Honda in Baton Rouge to contact me to make this wrong right. This review will be posted on all car review forums. Update 6/21/19: I would like to thank the Richard's Honda Dealership for contacting me promptly in regards to my review, I did not expect someone to call me. Although, a good business will never leave negative reviews unattended. I had a representative from Richard's Honda call this morning (the next day after the review was posted) and was very attentive and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. He asked if I could come by today to discuss a resolution, but unfortunately I could not. I will plan to make a trip to the new dealership as my busy schedule allows. I will update my review on whether the offer to make things right was legitimate or a customer service business tactic. Either way I will update with honest, factual, and fair information in regards to the Richard's Honda Dealership. They offered to pay half to paint the trunk, I declined. Then, they wanted to make an offer for a trade so I could buy another car. Their offer was beaten by another dealership so I traded my car and bought a new car else where. I recommend shopping around for better deals when buying a car.

    These might actually be the rudest, most unprofessional, inconsiderate people I've encountered in…read moremy 20 years in the automotive industry. A potential customer requested us bring a vehicle they were looking at purchasing to AGCO for inspection. Keep in mind our dealership has its own technicians and maintenance facility. After several hours, their conclusion was a laundry list of "codes" that were not displayed either before or during our ownership of it. one of our managers drove it for a week while his personal vehicle was being serviced, and he reported no issue. in fact, according to CARFAX, the vehicle has been under warranty the entire time it has been privately owned. their diagnosis makes little or no sense. Whereas we, as automotive professionals, agree with and encourage our customers to take advantage of their right as consumers to have a service center of their choice inspect a vehicle before purchase, we do caution them as to their choice. We normally suggest someone they know, or have had a prior relationship with, as too many private facilities will "try to "scare sell" or suggest unnecessary repairs or maintenance, in hopes the customer will opt to pay for the repairs at their facility. Their line usually is "It's already here, so..." We are certain this has happened in this case. Usually, if a problem or issue is uncovered during inspection, it is professional courtesy to inform the selling dealer of the problem, and ask if they would like it addressed while the vehicle is there. 10 times out of 10 they will say yes, in hopes of preserving the potential deal. AGCO apparently is unaware of professional courtesy, or anything resembling even common courtesy. They treated our Fleet Manager rudely when he asked them to share the results of the inspection, or even what the customer shared. I would not recommend. Matter of fact, I would encourage a potential customer to look elsewhere, should they mention AGCO. And for everybody's info - the review by BUSH C, is an AGCO employee.

    . When they were Tire Engineers they were great. Mavis on the other hand is yet another…read moremoney-grubbing enterprise that cheats women. I have used them for years without issue. Baton Rouge Is rough on tires so I always get road hazard. I needed to replace a not quite 3 month old tire and the quote, with road hazard was almost as much as I originally paid for the tire. I questioned this and said this would be my last Mavis tire and a $100 error in their favor was conveniently found. I still felt the price was too expensive. They tried to tell me I had used up almost half of my tread depth in less than 3 months. While this should have nothing to do with my replacement tire's cost, I went to two other tire shops and had my tread depth measured. All 4 tires had 10/32" depth, considered new as far as tires are concerned. I recorded everything said and done at both tire places. Mavis had not measured my tire depth and honestly it should not have mattered. The tires were virtually brand new, I bought road hazard warranty and should have had a new tire placed on my car free of charge. I called their national consumer satisfaction line. They intervened with the store and it was decided I would get a "free" tire and "only" be responsible for labor, valve stems, recycling and other fees That added up to over $70. In the past they would just put a new tire on and send you on your way, no money exchanged. I have called other tire companies and their road hazard warranties still work this way. Mavis saw a disabled 65 year old woman and thought they would make some Extra profit. I detest being treated as stupid because of my gender, age and disability. I feel this company is now taking advantage of people. Their road hazard warranty isn't worth the paper it was printed on and that the company is now far from ethical. I prefer writing positive reviews but when I run across a company that has found a way to cheat their customers I have to tell the truth so no one else gets burned. There are plenty of ethical tire companies in Baton Rouge. This is not one of them
