After contacting them about a vehicle, I am interested in speaking about getting from them, and after I told them my interest in a vehicle, they raised the price! When I asked Jeff the salesperson why he said it was my fault for not purchasing it the day I saw it for the price that day and now the higher price was the price. Rude. Unhelpful. How can you run a business when you are price gouging. That's how I see this. Raising the price because of someone wanting to purchase your item.

I am a college student who was looking to get their first lease on a car. I went in expressing that I was looking for a 4x4 base model Nissan Frontier, when approached by the salesman I had been speaking with, the car I wanted was no longer on the lot, and the one advertised perfectly for my deal, was also no longer on the lot. After this, he tried to turn my direction to the Nissan Frontier Pro, still without 4 wheel drive. Before even discussing other options or other prices for other cars, and after "running a quick credit check," he was already ready for me to sign terms, and attempted to hand me the pen, without even discussing any other vehicles. When I told the salesman I'd like to discuss with my mom, he badgered about and asked me if I wouldn't mind waiting an hour for her to get out of a meeting, or coming back after, so that he could get terms finalized that day. I'm all for commission based sales but the customer should still come first. In addition to this, not a day later, the manager pestered me, after never contacting him, and tried to tell me that, the car the sales man tried to push on me was the car I wanted. It didn't make sense to him, that selling a 40,000$ car, I didn't ask for, was irrational. told him he was being weird and he continued to send me photos of my Yelp review, and attempted to call me, until I blocked him. After this, the manger, of the bar I worked at at the time contacted me and forced me to remove my Yelp review, due to his friendship with the managers and owners directly attempting to silence the public opinion of customers. I have since quit this job, and since royal nissan and it's influence can no longer financially effect me, because they got upset over my Yelp review, I decided to repost this.

    2021 Nissan Rogue

I had such a great experience with Royal Nissan this weekend. It was our first stop of many dealerships we planned to visit. Instantly after getting out of our vehicle, myself, my mom, and sister were greeted by Sales Rep Christopher Anderson. Chris was friendly and super knowledgeable. Any question we had, he had an answer for us and was able to shows us just about every feature on the vehicle. We visited about 8 dealerships that day but ended back at Royal Nissan that evening to buy the 2021 Nissan Rogue from Chris. Also, Chris in finance was great in walking me through my first purchase. My only complaint from the entire experience with Royal Nissan was the "car detail" that is done. My windows still had streak marks and there was a brown spot on the door frame fabric- it came out with a wipe. Ask for Chris Anderson!

After my negative experience, I was contacted by a sales manager who was very apologetic and explained the miscommunication between the sales associate and management. He assured me that the situation was handled internally and also offered me compensation for my travel. I appreciated the call, the explanation and the gesture. While I won't be venturing back to Baton Rouge for my vehicle needs any time soon, I wanted to update my review since I no longer believe that my original review accurately represents Royal Nissan as a whole.

When I bought it I noticed it pulled to the right a little bit. I was told a software update was just completed and it should correct itself. They have a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty so bring it in if there are any issues. I drove for a few weeks and the problem persisted so I went to my local dealership in Gonzales. They took it in and gave me a shuttle ride home. They called me in the evening and said they did an update and an alignment. I collected the truck and headed home. The truck was worse than when I brought it in. They put the alignment back to the old numbers, did another update and another alignment. The issue still persisted. I told them it is still pulling to the right and the steering wheel is cocked to the right when driving straight. They rotated the tires and the tech said I must have gotten a bad tire as now it drives straight. I took delivery and drove it home. On the way the steering wheel was still off and to the right. It now pulled to the left and a slight vibration in the steering wheel. Almost like the truck is fighting itself to stay straight. I was going to schedule another appointment but on my way home from work I saw Matt Bowers Dodge. I was at 586 miles on the odometer and figured I'd run in for the first oil change and see if they had any suggestions for the alignment issue. After the advisor trying to talk me out of an oil change I told her please do an oil change. I know how many miles are on it. She said they would do the oil and look at the pulling issue and perform the TSB that is for the 25' Ram 1500's After sitting for 4 hours at the dealership I was given a repair Bill for $170.12 for an alignment on a brand new truck that has a published issue with them pulling with an open TSB. I asked why am I being billed for an alignment. I only agreed to pay for an oil change. With attitude I was TOLD alignments are a wear and tear issue you're going to pay for that. I asked the cashier for a manager as new first owner trucks have a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty and this is the second (technically 3rd time) this truck has been in for this issue. He couldn't find a manager as the dealership was closing so as it not being the cashiers fault I paid him and now exercising my options. Upon leaving I noticed they put incorrect mileage on my repair order and no alignment spec sheet was given. (Everytime I've had an alignment done I'm provided with the printout). The correct mileage is 586. I'm beginning to wonder now if they even did the oil change I requested. While driving home the alignment is the worst it's been. The steering wheel went from 12:30 position to a 1:30 position. If you let the wheel go while driving it straightens to 12:00 but immediately pulls left and veers into the opposite lane. Now the truck is dangerous as it won't stay in the proper lane without assistance. First and last time I'll take the truck to Matt Bowers. I'm also filing a formal complaint with Corporate office. What a joke of a dealership.

Well the answer to the 3rd question was resolved by the website. questions is 1 and 2 remained unanswered. Soooooo in spite of it all I took a chance and made the drive. After all, it was Memorial Day, BTR is not a bad drive and I was interested to see what the outcome would be. I will say this is a great idea. Whoever came up with. It is a great idea. You basically go on the website. See if the vehicle is in place, head on over and you remove the part yourself. There is a $2 admission cost, but if you sign up for the free VIP membership, there's a reduced price. And as a VIP member, your privyy to all sorts of deals that they send you via email or sms messaging. They provide you with wheelbarrows in the event that you have a heavy load to carry. But other than that, this is a DIY and it's best. So bring your OWN TOOLS!!!! Rows and rows of cars. Just imagine a vast wasteland of vehicles, but in a semi ordered fashion. In designated row and even particular spaces ie C304. All are ready to be taken a part as one needs. What I saw on the website versus what I saw in person we're starkly different. It was the Amazon vs Wish version of items. I must admit the vehicle that I was looking at it been there since March 2026 and this is the end of May 2026. So understandably things would be different. But my goodness, there was barely anything left of the vehicle. For your convenience, there's a handwashing station as you exit the yard. I found this to be beneficial, those junked cars are full of grease, grime & stagnant water from the rain. Also, in addition to being able to remove parts there is an area near the front door where they also sell other things. I guess things that they found in the cars, i.e. shoes, purses, etc.. Annnndddd I also found that they sell batteries and used tires. And they even have cars for sale. I did leave with a piece for my car, but not the ones I came for. So the trip wasn't a TOTAL BUST. I would return, maybe not to this particular location as there is one closer to my home, but I do like the idea of being able to find parts for the low-low. And I would also bring a person that is mechanically inclined to help with disassembly of the vehicle part that you need. I found the employees to be pleasant. Not very helpful, there was a sale going on and had I not mentioned it, the cashier was not going to share that information; HOW RUDE... I was in search of a driver side door actuator. I actually ordered one from EBAY but it didn't include the floor and trunk manual release. I took a look on Pull A Part's website for shits and giggles expecting them to have every model CTS except a coupe. To my surprise, the Baton Rouge location had a coupe in stock. Now the flip side was wondering if this part was still in the car. I drove an hour by both holding my door closed by hand and tying a strap to it, lol. Pull-A-Part granted me free admission for being a veteran. I arrived to find the part was still there. Now the other flip side was wondering if the part was still operational since you need the vehicle powered to test the actuators and the batteries are removed. You also need to remove the backseat, rear interior panels, and seatbelt to access the door actuator. Luckily Pull-A-Part has the vehicles elevated and spaced out which creates a decent work environment. I didn't even mind the fact that it began to rain. I even removed the passenger side door actuator for when it's needed in the future. Pull-A-Part discourages working on your vehicle in the parking lot. I needed to verify the driver actuator worked so I installed it quickly since my backseat and panels were already removed. I plugged it up and it didn't work. Disappointment was an understatement. Then something told me to pull on the floor release. The chime began to sound after hearing the actuator click. I closed the door and it worked. I did a little dance not caring about being seen, then I quickly hit the road after gathering my tools! P.S. Pull-A-Part only offers store credit. No refunds.

UPDATE: The Sales Manager, Mr. Nick, completely went above…read moreand beyond to satisfy my needs. I'm very thankful for the management team at All Star Toyota for caring about their customer service so much. Thank you, Nick!! The process started off great. I was a little bit taken off guard when I asked the salesman to tell me about the car and he laughed saying he didn't know anything about it. Luckily for me, I've had a Yaris and a Scion so the Yaris iA I was test driving was pretty familiar to me. I wanted the car. My main concern was navigation. He told me he'd check on that and throw in tint on the car. So he tells me a few minutes later, "The navigation runs through the Entune Suite App, it's free and you just have to download the app." I asked at least six times throughout the visit if he was positive that's what it was and that it was definitely free. He assured me each time that it was, but it would take a little bit for the registration of the vin number to change from the dealership to me and I can't do it until it hits my name. So onward I forged. Two days of having the car and it's still not working. So I start digging around. It requires a navigation card. So I let my salesman know. "It has to be purchased thru the parts dept... I'll ask around and see if they have some laying around collecting dust. If so I will get you one I will let you know later this evening or sometime tomorrow" So two days later, I am told there aren't any and I need to purchase through the parts department. I'm unhappy about this answer and ask how much this will cost me, he says he'll try to get me a price but I have to order it myself. I ask him if I will at least get a deal on it since I was assured the Entune would work. He says yes, I'll get it at his cost. I decided to call parts and get a price to see how much of a deal I'll be getting. They didn't even know what I was talking about and said they'd call Toyota and get back to me, took my name and number and said they'd let me know. Two days pass and he still hasn't gotten back to me on the price and neither has parts. So I message him again, a day later he tells me I have to order it through parts and that on delivery I was told it was not free or included and that I had to purchase the card myself. Which is really hilarious because I let him know four days after delivery that the Entune does not work with the Yaris iA and that I needed a navigation card. But he proceeds to message me saying he explained this to me at delivery. But the only thing said at delivery was, "If it doesn't work, we'll take it to service and get them to make it work. I'm an old man." I looked through my paperwork and I don't have a "We Owe You" page so I guess I won't be getting my tint or my navigation... Thanks a lot, Shady MacShadesen.

During the visit, I was informed by the team that the tires on my vehicle are dry rotted. The revelation was especially alarming, as your dealership is the only one that has serviced my vehicle since I purchased it. At no point on previous visits was I made aware of any issue regarding the condition of my tires, nor was any preventive maintenance or inspection record brought to my attention reading this matter. Upon learning of the tire condition, I expressed my concern for my personal safety and the safety of others on the road, especially given the serious risks posed by dry rotted tires--- including blowouts and loss of vehicle control. Despite voicing these valid concerns, I was denied a loaner or an alternative vehicle, and no reasonable solution was offered to ensure my safe mobility while the issue was being addressed. This response was both dismissive and unacceptable. As a loyal customer who has entrusted your dealership exclusively with the care and maintenance of my vehicle, I expected a significantly higher standard of accountability and service-----especially where safety is concerned. I am requesting the following: 1. A formal explanation of why the dry rot issues were not identified or communicated during pervious services. 2. A goodwill gesture to cover or significantly discount the cost of a tire replacement, given the negligence in prior inspections. 3. A reconsideration of providing a loaner vehicle or transportation assistance until the tires are safely replaced. If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be forced to consider further steps, including filing a formal complaint with the manufacturer, Better Business Bureau (BBB), and other appropriate consumer protection agencies. I look forward to your prompt responses and resolution of this issue. You may contact me directly by email at gwengalmon@yahoo.com. Sincerely, Gwendolyn Galmon,MSW,RSW
