I took my car to get a diagnostic test because the warning light on the dashboard was staying on. Long story short, they did the test and gave me a $1200.00 price to fix the problem. They said it was the alternator, but I needed to change the spark plugs, which wasn't the problem. It's a shame to try to scam people out of their money, and you really didn't find the actual problem. Also, I had a hose just about split in half, which Steven Wonder could have seen, and they didn't even see that as a potential problem. Now I'm still stuck with no fix. And you're supposed to be the Honda PRO!! Where can you find true, honest people these days? SMH!!! read more

Team Honda Rescued our Trip! Big shout out to Brian C. (Service Advisor), Dylan (Service Tech) and the entire Team Honda team for helping us in our time of need. During a family trip to Baton Rouge on the night we were supposed to return to Houston, our civic started behaving strangely and reporting all sorts of faults including a possible battery/alternator issue. The car kept stalling when we came to a stop. There is no way we could drive it back to Houston. The next morning, although I didn't have an appointment, Brian got us in and immediately starting a taking a look at it with Dylan. They quickly spotted the issue, got it into a service bay, and I was road ready in under an hour. There were so many dominoes that would have dropped had we been stranded and not able to return to Houston that day. Thanks the the Team Honda professionals, none of them did. I was recently in a car accident that caused my car to be a total loss. I was devastated but I came to Team to see if they had a black on black Honda like old one no one else did. They did initially have one but they couldn't sell it because it was recalled that bummed me out. My salesperson was nice and patient with me and when I came back in once everything was finalized with my old car the buying process was easy. The only thing I was concerned about was heated seats and it would be just my luck that a black on black was delivered that night I came before closing and I was able to come back that following day to see it. I was happy it had what I wanted and extras that I didn't even know. I would definitely recommend Team this experience did not leave a bad taste in my mouth at all. read more

Their service department is terrible. They lack integrity and plain work ethic. They do not appear to care about the quality of their service. I took my car there for an oil change and they damaged my front drivers side door. They didn't tell me . I discovered it when they said they my car was ready. Then I told them. It was shocking to me that I had to tell them when obviously they knew already. I was promised 3 detailed car washes and on the first one crumbs were left in the console , drops on the back seat and fingerprints on the navigation screen. They didn't detail my car. They washed it. I also wanted them to perform the recall check which they didn't do. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to Team Honda for anything including purchasing a vehicle. Go to Richard's or Honda of Covington. Do not go to Team Honda. They do poor service work. read more

Yesterday, I went to the parts department to buy a key housing for my 2007 ridgeline. the old key housing cracked and kept falling apart. The electronics were still intact. I asked the parts department if i could buy the housing there, showed him the 3 parts of my broken key, explained that the electronics were all still ok and I just needed a housing. He told me that there was an "extra" chip in the housing( other than the part I showed him where the electonics were, and told me that I would have to buy the complete key and quoted $200 plus $85 programming. I went home, went to Amazon, and orderted the part for $6.95... THis is why I avoid service at the dealership whevever possible(and would go to Richards anyway.. more honest) read more

Why the negative review ... I struggle with doing business with organizations that I believe are disingenuous with their communication and that has been my experience. I set an appointment based on email communications with a member of their staff. I show up on time and of course that staff member was not there and never mentioned that in any of our communications. I didn't really have an appointment although I scheduled one the day before ... nobody was expecting me and of course the vehicle I have been specifically inquiring about was not on the lot ... once again no heads up. Had I been made aware of those things I would have a completely different attitude about this experience ... would have expected to deal with a different person and to drive a different vehicle ... same everything except color so that would have been helpful however when everything to that point now appears disingenuous ... the trust has been severely damaged. The sales person I spoke to attempted to recover my trust and perform the process ... too little too late ... not his fault however he represents this dealership and specifically the GM and Ownership ... they are responsible for allowing these behaviors on their staff ... I view this as shameful customer service and until shown differently ... this is their approach to business and customer service. Ask yourself in a competitive market place ... are you willing to potentially experience the same???? I would recommend going elsewhere ... the service could not be any worse. read more

Management is unorganized; most of all highly unprofessional and narcissistic.. $17 plus commission is by far the main way they lure you in. You're not going too make that at all unless you file exempt and most of all don't apply for the benefits.. Not sure where to start. If you are looking for polite, respectful, or friendly staff this is absolutely NOT the place to purchase a vehicle. Not even 30 seconds after I pulled in parking lot (planning to purchase a brand new CRV) I was yelled at across the parking lot by one of the sales people as they were walking toward my truck. I was told that I need to slow down in "his parking lot" and that "I have no business driving that fast (I was literally doing no more than 7-8 mph) and that I'm gonna hit something driving like that". It left my fiancée and I speechless, we were INSTANTLY made to feel belittled for absolutely no reason other than this person's ego. (Found out later it was the manager). What an awful example this "manager" is making for the rest of the employees... sad. My experience with Team Honda was great the first visit, but after I went to their competitors in BR (Richards), I was able to see the light. I returned to Team on a Saturday when they were having a big tent sale, and they were super busy. No big deal because we had a scheduled appointment with our sales person (James) who was very kind by checking in with us every now and then until he was able to give us more undivided attention. To make a long story short, the price we wanted (based on what was offered at Richards) wasn't something Team was willing to give in to without a fight. James was anxious for a sale and very nice about it indicating that Richards would be losing $2700 for the price they told us. We really weren't pissed until his manager (I believe, RJ) was pulled in. The manager was speaking way too fast, obviously anxious and ready to close the sale, saying that Richards was pulling "old school tactics" by haggling the price, and suggesting Team was more straight forward. This was NOT the case at all - quite the opposite actually! Richards gave us the low price without us ever telling them what Team was asking. I told the manager at Team this, but they still wouldn't budge. It wasn't until my husband said something confusing (and really not true) suggesting we really weren't sure what car we wanted anyway, that I felt that we could leave and get out of the "let's go ahead and do the preliminary paperwork" force field. James emailed us a few more times and called us, but even though Team claimed to want us to be on their "Team", they ultimately wouldn't give the customer what we wanted - the better price and even more important, the better service that Richards has. Sorry Team, but I don't recommend y'all over your competitors on Florida Blvd and most certainly won't be back. read more

I've been coming to this Honda dealership since 1994 and bought 5 different cars from them throughout the years. During that time I've also been getting my oil changes done here and I've never had a problem with anything. Their customer service is awesome! I really like that they send me coupons for discounted services like tire rotations, belt replacements, and oil changes too. Regardless, even when I don't have a coupon they're either the same or cheaper than other places. They also have a shuttle that will drop you off/pick you up if you can't get a ride and your car is getting worked on. Great customer service! read more

If you are looking to deal with professionals and good customer service, this is not the place for you. Our sales person Courtney was cool overall, but took several personal calls during our buying process and misrepresented a few things which we didn't appreciate . We were told that the car would be DETAILED and we would need to come back the next day as it would take an hour or 2. I left work early to bring my grandmother by and we ran some errands. We returned 2 hours later to find the vehicle in the same condition, glitter everywhere and spots on the seat. I asked for the manager, explaining that 1. If it was just a $20 car wash we could have done this ourselves & 2. If we had known there would be no actual FULL DETAIL, we would have asked for more money off the price. The salesman went and got his manager who wasn't helpful at all. First he blamed the salesman and told him he shouldn't call it a "DETAIL" it's just a vacuum and wash. Then he said the detail team was "trash" but mentioned they probably would have done a better job if it was a "new Honda"( the vehicle is a 2016 Hyundai).When I asked to be reimbursed for our time and the misrepresentation he proceeded to tell me that I was mad over nothing & could give the car back if I didn't like it!!! To be fair they did offer to "detail" it again but were sure to reiterate disclaimers that the team "sucks". It didn't seem worth it to waste our time again. Moral of the story, these are not very professional people, they will waste your time with no regard and do not care much about customer service. read more

While I love my Honda vehicle, I can't say the same about the service that I received. I have never been treated with such disrespect and witness such a lack of professionalism before. If your vehicle requires service I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. I had two encounters with one of the workers, his name is Dustin, and works in the service department. The first encounter I had with him was when I had an appointment scheduled for a recall on my vehicle and when I arrived for my appointment I was informed that they never ordered the necessary parts, therefore, I would need to reschedule. Dustin was so unprofessional and rude that I had to speak with the manager. Dustin told me it was my fault for not making sure the part was in prior to coming in for the appointment, although I indeed did but was misinformed by him over the phone. The second encounter I had was months later. I called prior to driving to the service department and was told by Dustin that they do not take appointments that it is first come first serve. I later learned that this was not correct. When I arrived I was asked by Dustin to sign a paper stating that he had called me to come in for a recall but I never responded. Once again this was a complete lie. The manager John, isn't much help either. So sad to get this type of service. I vow to never go back. Sad to know that employees aren't held accountable and can speak to their customers any way they want. read more

Haven't had very good customer service here in the past few years and today is another day they lack in this area. This is my 2nd Honda i have purchased through them. Purchased the extra warranty for my vehicle and my upholstery. Brought in due to my armrest and my middle console starting to ripple just like my prior vehicle from here did....told me that would not be covered. Wait I purchased an extra warranty that covers stains rip tears and cracking but doesn't cover if the material is rippling and doesn't lay flat anymore??? And i still have warranty on my vehicle also but they want to charge me $68 to get a leaf out of my air filter vent?? U have got to be kidding me!!!!! The people who work in the service dept never greet u, not polite, nothing just a boring job to them. They will NEVER EVER get our business or money again and everyone I know I will send them to the new Tiger Honda in Gonzales. I have had my oil changed there the past few times and u couldn't ask for nicer friendlier staff! So helpful and kind. That's what u call customer service. I purchased a car from Team Honda a year ago. I was given 2 keys to my car but only 1 of them worked. I alerted my car salesman immediately that the other key wasn't working & he asked me to not worry about it. A year later, I misplace my 1st key so I call to get the second key programmed only to find out it was already supposed to be programmed. Because it's been a year, they won't cover it and now I'm having to spend more money on something that I brought to my car salesman attention a year ago. Not to mention within a week of having my car, I was having starter issues & when I brought that to the salesman attention, he told me there were no issues.. Complete garbage service. I've had battery issues since I brought my vehicle from this location. It took some pulling teeth to get them to replace my battery that was under warranty the last time. I had to bring the dead battery into the service department for them to switch it out. Apparently their batteries must be manufactured from the lowest quality manufacturer, because they don't seem to last and will leave you stranded. I called the service department, the guy sound like he didn't really want to work and wasn't very helpful. Explained to him my problem, he looked it up and said it's still under partial warranty and the cost would be almost $200. Ok, so I told him the my husband will swing by with the dead battery and switch them out. Rude guy says no, I will need to bring my vehicle in so they could switch it out. I told him my vehicle is dead, I wouldn't be able to DRIVE it there and asked why we couldn't just bring in the battery and switch it out like last time. His reasoning was because it under warranty and I would have to bring my vehicle in. I told him it was under warranty last time and I didn't have to do that. Told him it made absolutely no sense to hire a tow truck to tow my vehicle in, pay them for tow and then have to pay Team to replace my defective, junk battery. The guy acted like he didn't care and when I asked to talk to the manager, he rudely/quickly took down my info and said that the manager will call me back tomorrow and hung up. I have 2 young children under the age of 9 and need my vehicle to take them to school and work a full time job. Team Honda could care less about that and try to get you to pay for additional services that are unnecessary. I guess they don't care about the recession and how hard it is to make a living and feeding your family. Would never recommend anyone to get their vehicle serviced here or buy one here.
