I know a lot of the renovations came right before Covid and unfortunately, some of the vendors did switch out. Most recently, however, to Taharka Brothers pulled out. That said: there are still solid vendors there. I love Thai Street and Mount Everest and Vickys and the new Polish restaurant that makes a really good stuffed cabbage. The plant store is probably my least favorite plant store in the city, but I hope they continue to invest into this marketplace because I love the convenience and some of the really great vendors.

The issues started at self-checkout. I wanted to remove an item, but that required customer assistance. There were 4 (not 1, not 2, not 3, BUT 4) Safeway employees standing nearby and NOT ONE OF THEM even looked in my direction. I stayed in place for a while before getting frustrated and decided to leave all the things right at self-checkout. However, self-checkout is blocked in...and so are other areas in this store. As I was attempting an exit near the front of the store, something beeped at me when I approached some mechanical arms. Eventually the arms opened and I was able to leave, but what is even going on at this grocery store??? Really glad I don't live in Canton because I wouldn't want this to be one of my primary stores.

Popped into The Spice & Tea Exchange right before leaving Fells Point to grab some tea for my mom's…read morebirthday... and wow, I was not prepared for how much I'd love this place. The selection is incredible. So many teas and spices that it's almost overwhelming in a good way. Everything is displayed in glass jars, and you can smell each one, which makes the whole experience feel interactive and fun instead of rushed or generic. I ended up buying way more than planned: multiple types of paprika (smoked sweet, smoked hot), several garlic salts, truffle salt, seasonings for myself, and a whole assortment of teas for my mom plus a few for me because obviously.
