Their chicken pot pie is delicious, you can tell it's perfectly homemade with thin and flaky crispy pastry with enormous fillings! We also try the combo package of chicken and 2 sides of pasta. Inside you have several areas to shop for produce, snacks and seasonings/spreads as well as the prepared foods counters in the back. Outside you have a greenhouse and back patio with tables, perfect for sitting to indulge in your purchases. The back patio overlooks the farmlands which in itself is a sight to see. Parking lot is large and easily accessible for everyone. Service: 5/5. Everyone at the market are very nice and provide prompt service. The prepared foods and deli counters can get awfully crowded at peak hours, but the staff are always hustling to make sure everyone is served in a timely manner. Checkout is a breeze as there are usually 3 registers running. Food: 5/5. This market puts out quality everything! From the prepared by order sandwiches to their produce and butcher, nothing has ever been below excellent. They roast all of their meats in house as well as bake all of their breads which takes their sandwiches to another level. The deli counter also has fantastic shrimp, rotisserie chicken and potato salad well worth taking a pint home. But make sure to leave room for dessert because all their sweets are made in house and taste amazing. Apples, apples, apples...holy crow, tons of apples, many kinds and varieties when you enter, plus boxes of apples suitable for deer. The most intriguing was the Arkansas black, have had them before and really good. The apples looked perfect, each and every one of them. Lunch was our objective and it did not disapoint, my husband had the Italian cold cut sub-oh so good-the bread was very fresh and the meats, cheese, and veges fresh as well, right from their deli case. I had the cream of crab soup-just loaded with crab and flavor. The only thing I could say was the soup was not hot enough, but there is a microwave readily available. The answer is NOWHERE but Richardson Farms! The store is always kept clean and the staff is friendly and ready to answer questions. If you love fresh vegetables...I mean FRESH as in straight from the garden, this is your place. Their veggies are fresh and delicious and much cheaper than the grocery store produce. The hot food is my go to. You can get a full meal or if you just need sides, they have that too. This comes in handy for the busy parents who still want to give your kids a nice homemade meal. I've been there (I actually got some sides to go with the leftover chicken we had at home today!), and I appreciate places such as this where my family can get a hot, healthy meal quick. I even got my collard green and broccoli starter plants from their nursery today at prices way less than the big box stores. I could go on and on but you get the picture. Live in Butchers Hill/Patterson Park/Fells? Don't go to some big, company grocery store. If you need your basic veggies, eggs, and chicken products, take a short walk or drive to (the market has parking in the back) Richardson Farms inside NE market. This place is amazing. HMart prices because there is no middleman, fresh, cheap and great quality products. I could buy veggies from here for all my cooking and spend probably 1/2 of what I would spend at Whole Paycheck. Folks are super friendly and helpful. Go grocery shopping here. It's like your own CSA when you want it. read more

I can now mention that in addition to great service and selection, they are also VERY TRUSTWORTHY! Yesterday, I dropped my phone in their lettuce bin (unknowingly) during my lunch break. After returning to work, I noticed that I didn't have my phone. Nomophobia set in and I began frantically calling it and retracing my steps to no avail. I gave up on finding it and ended up having the phone turned off by Verizon. This morning, in an effort to find the owner of the phone, a staff member at Richardson's called all the numbers that I had called from the previous day - finally getting through to one of my co-workers whose phone that I called from. The prices are reasonable and the produce is fresh. I first came here after I forgot to grab something at the supermarket and I have been coming back ever since. It's located on the southeast corner of Northeast Market. It's a convenient location for those who live in 929 apartments and Jefferson Square as well as the surrounding area of the hospital. This place is amazing! It was clean and friendly; busy with all kinds of folk looking for fresh, great tasting good. They have all types of fruits, veggies , breads, deserts as well as a deli and hit foods. I was totally overwhelmed at my choices. My Mom was here visiting from Va Beach, she is a great cook and it's not easy to please her taste buds. We ordered: collards, mac & cheese, Reubens , mini key lime pies and picked up fresh fruit.
