He's a funny guy who chatted with us while we were out as well as being attentive to what the group wanted to do and made sure we all had a lot of fun! We caught a lot of fish and he even cuts, guts, cleans, and bags them up for you so that your catches are ready to just cook and eat! 5/5 would do again. Thank you Bonnie Lee Fishing Charters for making our first time going out on a boat and fishing such a wonderful and memorable experience!

Kevin is dialed into where the fish, prawns, and crab are located and provided key knowledge on where to set traps, how to get bit and the proper way to fight and land the fish. My boys and I have spent countless hours on the water bass fishing so we know how this fishing game is played. We went knowing that there is always a good chance that you may not catch anything. Ive learned after this experience, that Kevin has the knowledge to increase your chances of success. From the beginning of our trip, Kevin was confident that we were going to catch fish. Even after a slow start, Kevin stated that we were going to catch fish and we would stay as long as it takes to do so. We ultimately caught 3 nice salmon and the shrimp and crab pots were full! Kevin was great with kids and got them involved in setting and picking up our filled traps. He cleaned and filleted our fish, cleaned the crab and shrimp which made an awesome Thanksgiving feast. I highly recommend Kevin as a salmon fishing guide and thank him for a trip that my sons and I will never forget.

It was in one of my books in which I learned about the Fraser Foreshore Park trail, and I planned a walk with my hiking group in October. The trail is a flat, easy trail along the Fraser River (ideal for people with mobility problems), and according to the book, it is 8km round trip and takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. However, despite walking at a slow, relaxed pace and stopping to take photos, the walk only took two hours. While it was a nice walk, I didn't find it particularly interesting and would prefer to try new trails before walking along this trail again. The trail is very transit accessible, with the #116 bus from Edmonds or Metrotown Station stopping minutes from the beginning of the trailhead on Boundary Road, but with the bus running only every half an hour, it's a bit of a pain to catch and what would be less than a ten minute drive ends up being a half an hour transit journey for me. Other things to note: within the park is a playground and picnic tables, as well as washrooms. But there are no washrooms at the beginning of the trail at Boundary, so if you need to use the bathroom at the beginning of the walk, you have to use the nearby gas station. I had researched other fishing tours and Lang's pricing is very reasonable. Lang is a fantastic fisherman who knows what he's doing and where all the best fishing spots are. He was so fun to hang out with and you can tell he genuinely loves fishing. He was just as excited as we were every time we hooked a fish. My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and I called Lang the day before and to my surprise he easily booked us in for the next day. Communication was really easy, he emailed us all the info we needed and we easily found the boat launch. Even though it was windy and raining and cold (end of november) he found us spots where we caught MONSTER sturgeons. I've never seen fish so big! Even what he was calling small fish were the biggest fish we'd ever caught. We were so excited the whole day we forgot how cold is was out, but we were pleasantly surprised that the boat was covered and he even had a heater! I would recommend Lang's Fishing Adventures for anyone who likes fishing, even if you don't know much about it. Thanks for the best fishing trip ever Lang! We can't wait to see you in the warmer weather!

The captain was nice and a few others were helpful, but unfortunately the overall experience was not very pleasant. Almost everyone else on the boat seemed to know each other and 95% of the time spoke Mandarin to each other. I am not a Mandarin speaker so it really felt like we were being left out a lot. Only managed to get some sort of information or communication because my friend can vaguely translate what they say. As someone paying around $300/person, I expected to learn a lot and have more guidance. The moment we got on the boat one of the other guests lit up a cigarette. Let's just say throughout the entire day, someone was toting a lit cigarette. They probably smoked close to 3 packs while on board. No one from my group smokes, so we were pretty irradiated to say the least. We learned very little and had little guidance. They were helpful when we needed help, but for the most part it felt like they were having a blast and we were the party crashers. I do like that they followed the rules of fishing and what fish they have to release, what can be caught and what needed to be returned. However, they threw their cigarette butts into the ocean which I felt was unacceptable. Since I'm a beginner, I tried to copy what the others did on the boat in terms of releasing the line, but then told we shouldn't do that. I pretty much kept to myself and kept quiet because of the language barrier and honestly wasn't there to criticize people, I was there to learn and have fun . The 3 stars go to the captain and 1 or 2 of his friends. I really appreciate them giving us their catches and some crabs because I wasn't able to catch anything worth keeping and really they were kind and would answer questions if we had them, but I'm really shy, especially when it comes to new things. However, the last 30 mins would be the highlight, the other 8 hrs I felt like the kid that wasn't invited to the party but people were obligated to be nice to. I hope they learn from this review and are able to give other people a better experience than the one I got today.

The boardwalk is especially nice for walking, for the structural metal strips keep it bike-free and peaceful. Meanwhile, there are many scenic trails through the trees that cyclists can enjoy. We completed the one hour/2.6 mile loop trail around the lake passing gorgeous heritage homes, a wedding taking place on the festival lawn and people fishing off the docks. On a clear sunny day, this place beats any other concert venue: it's large enough for concert goers of all types to enjoy. You could easily make your way up to get close to the stage, or you could sit down on the lawn and listen to the tunes. Since the lawn tilts at an angle, it's easy to see the stage from almost anywhere, even if you're really far back. There are also a lot of food trucks to get food or drinks from, and there's a water station where you could fill up your water bottle. The only downside of this venue is that it's not very easily accessible by transit and parking is limited on a busy concert evening.
