We purchased a 2020 Jayco North Point 387RDFS fifth wheel from Richardsons RV in Riverside almost 2 years ago. We absolutely love this rig, and our experience at the sales department was top notch. Last week, we were about to leave on a camping trip, when we had a somewhat major mishap. We called Richardson's service department, and were extremely fortunate to speak to Steven Contreras. Now, keep in mind, much like the auto industry in the middle of this pandemic, everyone is super busy, and short staffed. We explained the situation to Steven, and he said to bring the rig in right away. Usually, it's at least a two or three week wait to get an appointment at the service department, but Steven made a exception for us, considering our dilemma. After about 45 minutes of helping us personally with our problem, it was repaired successfully! I have never experienced a more positive and awesome representation of true customer service, like I did with Steven. He is an exceptional human being, and a phenomenal ambassador to the RV'ing community. I highly recommend that you go see Steven at Richardsons for any of your RV repair needs! Every time we've had to bring our fifth wheel in for repairs, Richardson's RV service department has been exceptional in the services they provide. Five stars! read more

Needed a fifth wheel setup and Install on my f250 in a hurry and called several places in Norco with no luck and crappy customer service. I went to Richardson's repair and parts center off of Van Buren to give them a try and immediately felt like I was on the right track when I saw Russ in parts who I know from Mike Thompson's and remembered that he went out of his way to take care of me when he was there. Russ did not disappoint and I have to say he is a invaluable asset to any business especially in these times where ive noticed employees could care less and have a tendency to do the bare minimum. Russ is a genuine good dude and will do everything he can to make sure the job gets done. No delay, no bs and followed through like a pro. Thank you Russ! As for the install on my #2900 Superglide and wiring harness. The install was done in half a day on one days notice. Obviously this can't always be done, just that it was done in this instance. The install turned out super clean and I appreciate the service department and technician for a job well done and on such a short notice as well. After going to other RV stores that were closed even though the hours said open, and calling during business hours and getting voicemail, I finally called Richardson's and received excellent customer service over the telephone. Just walked in for a quote on a slide repair. Slide works. Just making some noise. I was hoping for a high end and low end quote. Just a range. Anything. I understand that you don't know what the problem is, but you do slide repairs all the time. What are they "normally"? What's the average? Service advisor wouldn't give it to me. Said it could be $10k. That is not how you get new customers. I won't be coming back. That guy (don't know his name... farthest desk to the left of the service door) needs to be trained better. read more

I bought 3 RV's from Richardson Rv in 2020. I spent well over $300,000 plus added $30,000 in extended warrantee. From day one when I noticed so many problems with the first rv, the service department was dismissive and rude. The first rv had torn floor, falling off trim, drawers flew open while driving, microwave fell off, 2nd slide would not open, staple in cushion ruined leather on dinette, transfer switch was malfunctioning, refrigerator would not switch from propane to electric, shower door handle was broken, blind in front was broken, dash was falling out, etc. After a year and a few months. Only 1 rv is fixed because I was told I could only bring one in at a time. It took them well over a year to finally fix the first rv. When I brought in second Rb to finally get it turn to be fixed. I was told it's out of warrantee. Further more because the service manager, Terry, did not like me, I went to the head manager of all service, Dale Hammers. This is how I was treated: Dale personally called Jayco and told them I was renting the rvs. Jayco has denied all services requested and won't touch my RVs. And it voided the $30,000 in extended warranty I bought through them. I now have 2 RVs that look horrible and 1 ok one but the screws are coming back up through flooring. Ugh. I can not believe they actually brought to Jayco any of this. It's no ones business what I do with them. And Dale and Jayco googled my business together to verify my intent with RVs. Still doesn't change fact that damage was pre existing and should be fixed. read more

Worst experience ever! The finance managers have you sign false contracts and do not honor their word. DO NOT purchase an RV from this dealership, they lost multiple sales by using trick tactic just to get you down there. Very disappointed, I feel bad for the sales guys that have no control and waste their time under false pretenses. read more

I should minus one star for the way they returned our unit. We have been waiting now for over and hour for them to confirm that the unit belongs to us because their Serive tag has gone missing twice off our unit. Here's some photos of the Damage they have left on out trailer from them using Scotch Tape twice on out unit. I've even called and left a very detailed message with Ron in service in august about this issue when they forgot to finish all the repairs that were requested. POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE AND THE METHOD OF SIGNING YOUR PAPERWORK BEFORE YOU VALIDATE THE REPAIRS REQUEST TO REVIEW THEM BEFORE. THE REPAIR FROM AUGUST WE WERE FORCED TO SIGN AND NOW 4 months later the repair for the back door is still a major issue and has a huge gap in the door and seal. We could not have seen this without removing it from the property We bought this unit in September 19 and it's been in Service for over 10 months in this time. Honestly the worst purchase experience ever. Do not buy from them or if you do please hire an RV inspectors. We had water damage straight off the pot since they didn't complete their inspections. My wife and I bought brand new 2017 Jayco trailer from Richardsons sales department was excellent experience from A to Z. However two month later we received a recall letter to replace all lights, which is fine I called scheduled an appointment, trailer was there for about seven days work is done. I got the trailer home and start to clean it where I noticed a lot of left over dirt and wood from drilling, on floor and bed areas. Also what got me more upset the damage they left on the cabinets and shelves on brand new trailer. Never ganna use the service department here again. read more

Richardson RVs Center is overpricing there units over 31 percent. I know must RV and car dealers ridiculously overprice their inventory (that's why Amazon is doing so well),but this dealer is out of control. I bought a new RV from Richardson RV and had it in for service under warranty. As a general rule, it's necessary to lower your expectations as to the service levels from most RV service shops. That is to say, expect surly, condescending workers who think they are doing you a favor. By that (admittedly pathetic) measure, Richardson RV seems par for the course. I hope for a problem-free RV ownership experience to minimize my contact with this shop. I will keep this post updated based on my continuing experience with them. At this point, it's an 'OK.' Update: Having now dealt with this shop a bit more, I think I've made at least one observation that, if addressed, will go a long way towards better customer service. And it's a really easy fix. When answering the phone, please give a simple yet clear polite adult greeting. "Hello. This is [insert name]. How can I help you?" They don't give their names, leaving me in the awkward position of having to ask who I'm speaking with when I'm transferred, creating a somewhat adversarial tone from the get go. My wife and I stopped by Richardson's RV in Menifee yesterday to look at travel trailers and met a most wonderful person, Mater Gunnery Sargent Lozoya, "Gunny". In addition to his impressive service to our country during his career in the United States Marine Corp and his deployments to Iraq, he comes across as a genuinely nice guy. Gunny showed us trailer after trailer, constantly asking us what we did and didn't like and taking that info to show us items suited to our taste. He also pointed out things to us that we, veteran RV'ers, had never thought of before. If you are in the market for a new RV, make the drive to talk with Gunny. He is a good soul that will treat you honorably and fairly as a person, not just a perspective sale. read more

Richardsons repaired my furnace, this isn't the first time something broke. They took care if the last warranty issue with out any problems and this one as well. There are lots of RV repair shops, but I wouldn't trust many of them. They know what they sell and they know how to repair correctly. read more

Did our walk thru with Skip at Richardson's service center. He was great. Very patient, friendly and explained everything to my wife and I. Took his time and made sure we understood how to run everything in our new Salem travel trailer. He made sure everything worked properly. He felt the automatic pilot lighter was not working correctly so he had the tech replace it. There was small stains up top on the trailer, Skip got up on the ladder and cleaned it. Before we left he had us run thru all he showed us to make sure we could work our trailer, also gave us a bunch of tips on how, what and what not to do. He assisted us in adjusting our electric brakes. My wife and I left Richardson's feeling very comfortable that we can work our new trailer. We had a great experience. My mom and dad purchased an RV from this company at an RV show. They were told they had to give a $10,000 deposit. The RV is going to arrive on December 3 according to the signed contract. However, it took 4 weeks to cash the deposit check. That check was only cashed once my father called three weeks after the contract was signed, inquiring on the outstanding check. Come to find out the deposit check was not cashed and the delivery date was moved to two months out from December. The signed contract states that the buyer can cancel the order if the RV isn't Delivered within 10 days of expected delivery date on contract. my mother called, the general manager said they forfeit their deposit if they cancel the order. However the contract does not state forfeiture of deposit due to their negligence. Due to their negligence we're going to contact a lawyer. read more

Have taken our RV and for service many times and it gotten the runaround in service dept. The management is never present. I am finally getting around to this necessary review based on a horrible experience when out shopping for my new RV at Richardson RV in Riverside. A salesman by the name of Greg Griffith was the perfect example of what NOT to do and how NOT to treat a prospective buyer standing in your lot ready to buy. He was a complete jackass and I can't believe he still has a job there. We were seriously interested in a unit they had on the premises but due his complete lack of decency and rudeness we left to shop somewhere else for our new RV. It was actually appalling how rude he actually was. After complaining to the manager it was evident the manager was aware of what was said, agreed it was way out of line but also obvious he was going to do nothing about it. They must sell a boatload of RV's and can pick and chose who they want to sell to. Maybe two lesbian women don't qualify for their time and respect. We ended up buying a unit that very day somewhere else. Richardson RV in Riverside should be ashamed of themselves, the salesman and the manager. It was most likely bias driven and I for one would never return there or refer them to any of my friends and family. The experience disgusts me. read more

My wife and I looked at RVs at Richardson's, we seen one we like but the APR. was too high. We decide to get financing through our own bank. They said we would have to leave a deposit of $1,000 to hold the RV, so we did. A week later I received a message from the manager Mike, if I didn't come in to purchase the RV I would lose my $1,000 deposit. This upset us that they were forcing us to hurry up and buy. My mother got sick so we decided to wait. I will never trust this company again, we will buy a RV after my mother gets better but it won't be at Richardson's. We have purchased a tent trailer, regular trailer and two motorhomes from Richardson's and anytime we needed service they were prompt, courteous and have done an excellent job. Purchase of our 5th wheel was a good experience since you only deal with these departments one time. Service is horrible. Dropped off the trailer that was 6 months old for small warranty repairs after 3 uses. Walked the trailer before leaving found a broken light shield and a a large slash in our screen for the porch. Mind you we have not used the screen yet. Ron Caputo stated that he would have to talk to the tech who was conveniently not working when we were there. Ron has not called as promised and has not returned my multiple voicemail messages since he is never available when I call. Purchased a brand new Jayco at Richardson's RV. The day I picked it up and got home I noticed the 7 way trailer plug was damaged. I called it in the same day and was told it was my fault and Richardson's RV is not responsible for the repair. They'll treat you like gold until you leave the lot. One star. Started out wanting to buy the fifth wheel of our dreams ended up with a second choice because they sold the unit the day before our appointment. Got the one that was the most comparable to the one we actually wanted. They were great I'm understanding our house selling situation and we went and gave 82k for our new HOME. It was great during the walk through with Jeff and we were happy. Get the unit home and the middle stabilizers will not drop down. Gave them a call. No answer until after hours. Talked to Josh a few days later and we discussed bringing the unit in 2 weeks from then due to high schedule volumes. Take the unit to the race track everything is going good until we needed to fill the generator which we found out it was not charging the batteries. Had to get a generator to plug a battery charger into so we could hook on to the truck to come home. Gave them a call today and didn't hear back after 3 calls until again after business hours. Shawn hopefully that's how you spell it basically said we have to leave it with them and they can figure it out. Informed him that's pretty much impossible due to the fact we live in it. Yes I started getting heated. Don't regret anything I said though. He informed me that they will help in any way while they work on it and we'll be out on the streets with a wife and 3 dogs for God knows how long. He told me he'll get back to me by the end of the day which I told him it needs to happen faster. I may not be in the rv business but I do know there is something they could do so we don't have to live in a hotel until completion. From day one of having the fifth wheel something has went wrong. 1 the middle stabilizers not extending, 2 the generator not charging the batteries, 3 the outside speakers not working properly, 4 the trim is coming off of one of the slides, 5 no ladder for the loft, 6 the dealer not standing behind the product they sell, 7 the dealer saying I should have made a back up choice so we wouldn't be homeless during maintenance of the defective products they have sold us for 82 grand. No wonder they were pushing the extended warranty on us so hard because it sure seems like it needs it. Pretty disgusted that because we chose to live full time in the fifth wheel that will not offer any help in what seems to be a decently important situation. read more

Wow, where to start. Well lets start with the good. I needed a part for my rv. I called aound and found these guys. They were quick, priced well and nice on the phone. Now the bad. They are terrible at the following. Answering their phone Having accurate information on their website Having employees who know anything about their dealership. Listening to voicemail So traffic today was horrendous. Took a number of hours to go a short distance, totally not the dealerships fault. However when I tried to call before 5pm to see when they close they didn't answer. To add insult to injury their mailbox is full, and their greeting contains no information about the hours of operation or really anything. OK so I call the sales office, they have literally no clue when their service department closes, and they are on another site so they just transfer me to the same number I called earlier. Well foolishly I muddle on, now apparently their website says service is open till 6pm. There is a glimmer of hope. I arrive at roughly 530 pm to find what looks like a scene from the walking dead. Dilapidated and rotten rv's and cars. Flat tires and the works the place looks all but abandoned. Come to find out they actually close at 5pm. Great. Now the ugly DO NOT EVER leave your rv here. I saw a number of rv's with doors to their basement wide open and a couple that looked like their front doors were left open and the only thing protecting them from the general public was a rather short fence. Imagine homeless or rodents or rain dust the elements as a whole having free rain of your home away from home. Seriously I wouldn't buy, or entrust my rv to these people for all the tea in China. Looking at how they treat their property showing absolutely no pride of ownership, nor any concern for their customers property shows me what a poor operation this place really is. Not to put too blunt of a point on this. But this has to be one of the most negligent rv dealerships I've ever seen in both business and professionalism. read more

Dropped off my new trailer I bought from them for warranty work and when I picked it up I noticed all my tools were missing from the storage behind the doors they fixed and left UNLOCKED. They told me they would not do anything for me and that I was to empty my trailer before bringing it in for work, who is going to empty a trailer so that nothing can be stolen. The basically told me to fly a kite, highly recommend not buying from them and not to use their service center. You would think if they ever want some sort of repeat business they would try making a situation right with a customer, at least try... Turn and burn business. Not again. read more

3rd trip. It's time to write a review unfortunately. Bought the trailer at their Menifee location, told them that I was new to owning a trailer ( 18' jayco travel trailer ) and to give me EVERYTHING I needed to know before driving off. You can guess how that went... first trip I called to fill in everything they didn't go over, like how to start the fridge for example. Anyways, I can brush that off. What I can't is their repair shop here in Riverside. We had a leak under the bathroom sink, to the point of water underneath the dining area table. It was there when we bought it, they said "it's due to the exterior pressure wash, happens all the time". But that wasn't it. Everything under the sink gets wet every trip. Took it in, they told me " couldn't duplicate the issue, but we tightened up all the connections. You're good" THIRD time I brought the trailer back they said "we added some Teflon tape around the threads, should be good". NOPE, I grabbed the shop manager ( Terry ) and showed him a video of the leak THEY COULDNT FIND. He got in my trailer and looked under the sink and said "yeah, it's leaking right now". I had asked the last 2 trips for them to just replace the 90 degree piece but they never did. Well, they finally did. I was assigned a tech ( Ric ) who told me that everything I brought the trailer in for was my fault, and blew me off. He never called with updates, I had to call him to check the status weekly. They had my trailer for over a month, AND DIDNT FIX IT. Every problem I brought the trailer in for including a flame shooting out of the gas water heater was my fault. Turns out none of it was. Jared was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the difference between all their products and was able to help us find the right vehicle to fit the payment we could afford comfortably.
