This place is amazing! The whole experience was amazing. We were in town for my 50th birthday and my wife found this place I can tell you it was so good we had to make 2 stops here before we left. Honestly, this was some of the best food we had and in the coolest restaurant I visited. So unique, and just an amazing vibe! I wish we had a place like this in Dallas! Our food was amazing! My wife struggles with what to choose (she wants to try everything) so we asked our waiter for some suggestions and he told us she could order whatever she wanted al la carte and build her own dish!! Came here for dinner and was quite annoyed by the aggressive attitude from one of the bartender's when he approached our server. It was very unprofessional on his part to yell when others around are just trying to enjoy a nice night out after work. The matter made the environment/Mood a bit sour... I ate my food in an awkward silence looking around in second hand embarrassment trying to justify to my date how it's usually "always nice here". To add-on to this, our server (considering she was scolded) was fast and helpful and overall very cheerful she continued to work with us and our picky appetite and brought everything to our liking. an overall great service in the business end of things. However that bartender should be taken to anger management as he continued bickering after the fact. Richardson's however has always had great food and I highly recommend eating here, the mood usually is always just right never too bad but also not over the top, I'll definitely be coming back!just. 3/26 Sunday reservations 5. We had not been there for a couple of years but always enjoyed always the food. Not today. Service was very slow, more than hour wait to be served after giving our orders. Had to send one order back, eggs were burnt. Hash browns were burnt on all the orders. Unfortunately, we ordered take out and when we open the enchiladas at home that was burnt and it was chicken but we had ordered cheese. The manager did apologize for the long wait and gave us desserts. But this was a birthday brunch for our grandson with both his grandparents. We were disappointed with the food & slow service. The staff here is topnotch from the host to the server and to the loving hands who coaxed the flavors from the pork advado to the light Prickly Pear Margarito. The portions are huge and I leftovers for lunch and breakfast over the weekend when I felt peckish. This establishment is the place to go for Southwest, Nee Mexico cuisine. Definitely prefer their other establishments like Dick's Hideaway, Rokerij's basement, or their speakeasy Rosie's, but if you want a patio with greenery when we have nice weather than Richardson's patio is ideal and lovely. Had the Pasta Heidi, a favorite of theirs, creamy, flavorful and delicious. Has chipotle cream with green chile linguine and grilled chicken. By the way the side salad is an additional $9, it's not complimentary. During lunch, you can park yourself. During dinner they do valet. And there was no wait for lunch on a Friday. read more

We friends had their wedding reception dinner here, a party of about 25. We arrived and the valet was quick and friendly. Our party was sat at a large table in the middle. Our servers were polite and attentive. The atmosphere is like an enclosed patio with trees and vines. The whole menu is New Mexico based. Admittedly I have a very low tolerance for spice so while others were hyping up the other dishes, I opted for the Santa Fe Chicken. I was not prepared for the massive portion sizes! Good thing we were all starving from a full day of wedding activities. Everyone really seemed to enjoy their food and some took the opportunity to order the signature GCP (Green Chili Potato). I think if I come back a different time I'll be a little more adventurous. Everyone was getting a kick out of the "Kid's Menu", which obviously had to be a joke because it had Tomahawk steak, Foie gras, Steak and Lobster, and a charcuterie board on it. read more

Five of us enjoyed a tasty meal on a Tuesday night. We sat in the "outdoor" area which was really under full roof cover however with a few open areas in the roof. We split some chipotle ribs with dirty rice and also some bacon wrapped jalapeños. Both were very tasty although the ribs had a little bit of warmed over flavor. My dish was the beef adovado and I substituted in broccolini for the rice and beans. The beef was tender and very rich in beef flavor as well as some garlic, tomato and chilis and topped with melted cheese. The broccolini were perfectly cooked and it was a huge serving size! My better half ordered the chili relleno platter with beef and cheese and they were chock full of filling, well battered and fried with a bright tomato sauce and melted cheese. The tortilla s served with it were enormous and freshly made and warm. The rice was highly flavorful and the beans had a good kick of spice. There are many interesting tings on the menu and we hope to return soon to taste more of them! read more

Richardson's is a well known local establishment serving up New Mexican-inspired fare for the last 30+ years... It is warm and cozy with a Southwestern vibe. I've been in for dinner a couple of times over the years, most recently on a double date with my husband and some friends. We made a reservation ahead of time -- I recommend you always do so to avoid a long wait. Even with a res, we waited for a bit at the bar and had a drink... no big deal. Service was attentive at the bar and also once we were seated. We went with the pan seared salmon bites appetizer for the table, accompanied by some drinks. For entrees, three of us went with a Chilean Sea Bass special and my husband went with the Chimayo Chicken. Each came with a dinner salad, which was delicious. There are a variety of sides you can choose from too... We all agreed that while tasty, the entrees were all pretty rich and saucy... We are used to eating a bit lighter, so none of us could finish our food, nor did we have room for dessert. That being said, I look at this as a once in a while / special occasion kind of place vs. a regular on the rotation. I definitely want to return for brunch sometime - it's served daily until 4pm. I'm really disappointed to write this, because the food was good and our server David was fantastic--but the treatment we received from the hostess, Olivia, was completely unacceptable and soured the entire experience. My friend and I arrived and were told they "don't seat two people," which was confusing and honestly just rude. Olivia then tried to redirect us to another restaurant under the same ownership nearby, which was practically empty and looked closed. We returned and made a reservation at the original place, only to be ignored again. Meanwhile, a couple who walked in after us was seated right away. When we asked Olivia if she would be our server, she snapped, "Definitely not," which was appalling. Her attitude was cold and unwelcoming from start to finish. Even worse, the manager did nothing to address the situation. David, our server, was the only saving grace--he was kind, professional, and attentive. The food was enjoyable as well. But Olivia's rude behavior and the manager's inaction made it hard to enjoy what should've been a nice night out. I'm not sure I'd come back, and I wouldn't recommend it based on this experience. read more

My family is frequent visitors at Richardson's and are always impressed with the atmosphere, quality of service, and delicious food. Yesterday's visit was for a birthday celebration and Richardson's delivered with exceptional service and a special desert surprise. I ordered the New Mexican schnitzel with green chile potato (GCP) and asparagus- you can choose a starch and vegetable from the menu. One thing to note about Richardson's is that the serving size is fit for two! I had plenty to take home as leftovers. The schnitzel and GCP were delicious but the asparagus was nothing to write home about, I would recommend a different vegetable side (photos included). My companion ordered the enchiladas and was highly satisfied (photo included). The interior is booth seating with nice seating options at the bar. The lighting is dim inside so we typically opt for the beautiful covered outdoor patio. read more

Walked in last night (1/24/2026) at 7pm with a party of 4. Was told by the hostess that all tables were booked for the night and she couldn't seat us. Fine whatever we left and went to a different restaurant down the street but decided to check OpenTable and guess what I could make a reservation for 7:45pm at Richardsons. Not sure what was going on with the hostess but we probably won't be back after this! read more

Of the 3 spaces at this location, this is our least favorite unless it's nice enough to sit on the patio. The copper top tables are pretty, food is good but the atmosphere is definitely different inside this space. Not quite sure what it is but we're not the only ones who notice it. Overall it's still on our list of go to places for brunch. Dinner we prefer either Rokerij or Rosie's. read more

Get rid of the roaches. It's been 3 times now. Twice at Dicks Hideaway crawling across the bar. Then at Richardsons a roach crawled out of my salad. Literally out from under a bed of lettuce. Came here for happy hour and the whole place smelled like vomit. I would have left from that alone but my friend really likes this place and didn't seem to be as revolted by the smell. I was served scallops wrapped in raw bacon. Raw. Two roaches crawled up the wall next to us. We moved and a third roach ran across the table. Nope. We left. Went in Sun for my daughter's after wedding brunch. We sat at the big table on the table and enjoyed Bloodies while watching football. The breakfast is always amazing- we all tried different dishes and left as happy campers!! I was there with my family for 6 for a full dinner, and they sat us at knee height cocktail tables near the fire place. My 74 year old father ate a meatloaf and lobster meal on his lap. I was OK with it at first bc it sounded like they were squeezing us on at a busy time, but there were multiple indoor and outdoor tables that remained empty throughout our mea that were still empty when we left. I'll be back, but will be more vocal about proper seating arrangements next time. Advocate for yourself bc they certainly dont give it any thought. read more

Yelp asks: "What went well?" That's a rather good question! EVERYTHING went better than "well," it was all delicious and well worth the visit! You're greeted with a wonderful aroma of the food magic you're about to partake in as soon as you walk through the door... I knew it would be awesome right from the start! We were seated (without a reservation - I'd get one next time) promptly, and our server was super friendly and efficient. Our drinks came out quickly and were nice and cold (105F outside, ya know...). You simply must have the bacon wrapped jalapeños - they are packed with umami, and have just a little heat after a minute or two, which is perfect. I got the Taos Combo... it's an enormous amount of food, but all of the items are amazing - sausages, refried frijoles, arroz, and the pulled brisket quesadillas were amazing. We weren't sure what to order and wanted to try a few things so we went with all items off the app menu; bacon wrapped shrimp, carne asada fries, ribs. The shrimp came first with 4 dipping sauces, rice and beans. The beans were so delicious and the shrimp was so so good. I loved all the sauces and totally filled up on shrimps. Fries were good but would have loved some salsa to go with. Ribs.... Meat falling off the bone. Could only eat one because I was already stuffed. Loved it all. read more

Stopped in for lunch and sat at the outdoor bar, it was pretty busy with business people and friends/family. As I was walking in I was greeted by the host, dressed to the nines in a beautiful shade of turquoise. Eli took great care of me at the bar & Calista was super attentive in checking in on me to see if I needed a box or if I was done with my plate. The prime rib sandwich dipped in au jus melted in my mouth...so yummy! I always love their fries. Pretty filling sandwich, but worth it!!! read more

Having recently spent a week in Santa Fe, I was excited to dine at Richardson's, which features cuisine of New Mexico. We came to Richardson's for Saturday brunch with a local that we hadn't seen in some time. I can understand why she loves Richardson's. We were seated at a high-top on the patio. Even at 10:30am, the weather was perfect for brunch. Brunch is served till 4pm. Both brunch and dinner menus are filled with items New Mexicans will find familiar: carne adovada, huevos rancheros, enchiladas, green chile stew, posole, burritos and even a green chile burger. Nor is the menu exclusively New Mexican. There are Italian and Cajun delicacies and even cuts that rival a New York steakhouse. Portion sizes are generous. Any entree at Richardson's is good for at least two meals, which I wish I knew before we ordered. If you try to share an order, remember there is a split charge. We were told the signature dish for weekend brunch is eggs Benedict with jalapeno hollandaise. But you must try another signature, the Original Green Chile Potato, which is prominently promoted at the top of the menu. The green chile potato is a twice-baked and whipped potato stuffed into a roasted green chile. It's not super-hot, in terms of heat. We had a great server, but there were lags between courses and sometimes the drinks took forever to arrive. But the food compensated for any disappointment with the service. After an order of Bloody Mary's and some Mimosas, it was time to get down to the food. Raul's Famous Onion Rings were some of the best I've had ever. The Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos is a must order. The Green Chili Stew & Eggs was a massive portion, but oh so tasty. I was in Green Chili heaven after this meal! read more

The only issue I had that is quite haunting is that when I went to use the restroom when we were done with dinner is I saw several roaches crawling on the wall in the restroom. Well after been recommended by a co worker , I have to say that service is great , you need reservations but if you don't have it you are welcome to sit at the bar , the place is trendy and you get free valet parking . Now the food is excellent portions and prices are very reasonable, only thing is this people put too much spicy to their food so you can't really enjoy it , but other than that is great food read more
