Come for the Lasagna, Not the Candlelight Romance We came here for a birthday dinner because we wanted to try something new, and by the end of the meal I found myself with two very different opinions: The food? Excellent. The ambiance? Let's talk about it. First, the good. The food was genuinely delicious. This feels like the kind of family-owned Italian restaurant where the focus is on what's coming out of the kitchen rather than what's hanging on the walls. Everything tasted like comfort food should; warm, satisfying, and made by people who care about the recipes. The service was also very good. In fact, the cook came out during our meal to ask how everything was. I was happy to tell him the food was fantastic because it absolutely deserved the compliment. Now for the not-so-good. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and the dining room was so quiet I could hear dishes being washed in the back. Not "pleasantly quiet." More "did everyone else know something I didn't?" quiet. For most of the meal there was no music at all. Just silence and the occasional clink of kitchen activity. They eventually turned on some background music shortly before we left, but it was so low that it felt more like a suggestion than actual ambiance. The tables, chairs, and overall décor are perfectly fine, but this isn't the place I'd choose for a romantic date night, anniversary dinner, or a birthday celebration where you're looking for a special atmosphere. What it is, however, is a great place to bring your spouse, kids, parents, in-laws, or anyone who appreciates good Italian comfort food without needing a white tablecloth experience. My advice? Come for the food. The food is worth it. If you're chasing ambiance, maybe lower your expectations or plan for a later dinner. The atmosphere seemed to improve after 6:30 PM as more people arrived. The restaurant has a lovely, quaint atmosphere, with wonderful background music that really enhances the experience. The staff is extremely friendly, and Jaime was amazing. He made sure everything about my visit was perfect. I had the tortellini with chicken, and my sister had the chicken Genevieve and both dishes were delicious. Staff very friendly and service was fabulous and the restaurant is small but mighty in ambiance. Honestly better than a bigger restaurant because the staff is much more attentive. I had the special which was a salmon and vegetables with pasta and the sauce was delicious and the veggies were so good, I could have ate a huge plate of them and the salmon cooked perfectly. My husband said his dish was yummy and perfectly spicy. We shared their chicken meatball soup and like everything else it was delicious. If we lived here it would be our favorite place to go. Ordered delivery through their website, which turned out to be DoorDash, only slower. Overall the food was ok. The Fettucine Della Casa with Chicken was the best of the order. It was very creamy, not separated like many cream sauces that are delivered can be. The chicken was moist and grilled, but I wish it had more flavor with pepper or blacked etc. The noodles were cooked perfectly. Overall this dish was a 7.5/10. The Beef Lasagna was quite flat, maybe it had a rough ride. The filling taste good but the marinara lacks flavor and takes away from the dish. The cheese is pre shredded so it's not melted and still resembles shredded cheese.This gives it an odd texture. 6.5/10 The Pollo Parmigiana was not very good. The breading on the chicken was soft, not crunchy and lacked seasoning. The cheese was also pre shredded and did not melt. The spaghetti was naked with some marinara dumped on top when plating. All good pasta should have the sauce finished with the noodles in the pan. The marinara also fell flat like in the previous dish. 5/10 The Caesar Salad was the saddest salad I've ever seen. Some iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and barely any dressing. Needed way more dressing and some Parmesan or something to liven it up. 3/10.
