Stopped by this place last weekend for brunch and really enjoyed our meal. The food was great and the staff were so nice. We started our meal out with the deconstructed deviled eggs which was delicious. It's basically a fancy egg salad with saltines baked with everything bagel seasoning on them. For entrees I got the chicken fried steak and my gf got the crab and grapefruit salad. My daughter had the eggs and bacon off the kids meal. We all really liked our food. Our server overheard that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and sent out a desert with a candle on it. It was actually the only time we had on our trip to phx to have her blow out a candle while we sang her happy birthday so we were really appreciative of them doing that. Overall really loved everything about this place. Would definitely come back
Yummy! Restaurant week is a winner here! Tempura green beans: so good! Baby back ribs: tasty! Also love the slaw that came with it! I have plenty leftover for tomorrow! Key Lime Pie: thankfully a reasonable sized slice. Very good! Our waitress was very good! It started getting a little loud during happy hour, as would be expected.
First to arrive and met with the hostess. We had our choice of seating and ultimately sat at a booth. Server came by and took our drink order and delivered within 7 minutes. She then left and didn't take our food order for another 20 min. We were waiting for her return. Finally she took our order but because of the wait, we had finished our beverages. She didn't refill our beverage for another 10 minutes. Food came out about 15 minutes after ordering. Had the chicken pesto sandwich and the grouper sandwich. Both tasted really good but grouper sandwich bread was really dry. The bun didn't look like it was lightly toasted. Fish was fried in panko with herbs and was just ok. Chicken pesto had the jicama slaw which was delicious but the sandwich bread was also a little dry. Refills took a long time to get brought tot the table. As we checked out, we ask for the beverage to go. Waited another 15 min before getting the beverage brought to go. Overall, just ok experience. Kinda forgettable.
We sat outside under the heat lamps on a brisk February evening, and it was absolutely perfect. We started with the hatch chile cornbread and the duo chip-and-dip platter -- both were excellent. For our entrées, the table ordered the ribeye special, Asian salad, chili, and French dip, with sides of fries and onion rings. Everything was fantastic. To finish the night, we shared the dark chocolate brownie topped with ice cream, caramel, and toffee bits, along with the coconut pie -- rich, gooey, and delicious. To my surprise, they don't offer a complimentary birthday dessert, but they thoughtfully gave me a box of seasonings and gift cards for neighboring restaurants. A bit unconventional, but still appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
Family night out, made reservation for 6, arrived a little early & we were seated immediately. There's plenty of seating, outside is cozy with patio heaters, actually warmer than inside. We were seated just inside next to the door. The cold air was flowing inside making the inside seating very cold. We asked to have the door closed, but they kept opening to allow the staff to enter & exit quickly. They could've used the front door (8 feet to the left), disappointed about this. The appetizers: Brussel sprouts were a hit, the jalapeno cornbread with plenty of butter was REALLY . Our server Kira is excellent, she is so pleasant, attentive & accommodating. The food we had; butchers cut steak, Chicken pot pie, French Dip, Cowboy salad & Ahi with chips. The food is good, the service is stellar. Thanks again.
Usually totally LOVE everything here, but the halibut definitely fell short tonight!! We love this place and came back for the cornbread and to try other dishes!!! It's just a cozy little place. The wait staff are awesome, Sam was our server tonight and he was great!! Drinks were yummy and delish!! The cast iron corn bread is to die for!! So creamy, buttery warm goodness OMG, this is what heaven tastes like!! I've been craving it since the first time coming here. The artichoke was good too, it came with a tasty creamy dip. The baby back ribs tasted like home cooking, so yummy!! Sweet and crunchy on the outside. The meat was tender. Totally recommend 10/10 The halibut was definitely not worth the $44 price paid... It was very dry and tough on the bottom, for the tiny piece of meat :( I had to use the knife to cut off the hard, overcooked bottom. I ended up with tooth pain and had to take a pain pill after dinner. The risotto, although was creamy and delish!! 3/5 stars for me on this dish. We ordered the Key Lime pie to go!! I'm so glad we ordered to go, so that ww didn't miss this perfect pure opportunity!! It was a nicely sized slice, the crust had the best slight crunch, the pie its self was creamy, filling, with the perfect key lime flavor. This is definitely the best key lime pie I have ever eaten!!! Don't miss out on this little gem, give it a try! Melts in your mouth!! Yum yum!!
This is four stars because of one major caveat -- I ordered the blackened salmon that originally came with asparagus and sesame orzo. I asked to sub the goat cheese mashed potatoes in place of the orzo to make the dish gluten free and that was easily done. When I got my food... it was only the salmon and the mashed potatoes. I asked where the asparagus was and the server said asparagus was only with the orzo but I could add it as a side... for $8. So I had a protein and carb but no vegetable for a whopping $36. It would've been nice to be told I wouldn't be getting a vegetable but even better to still include a few strips of asparagus. All that said, the dish was very tasty. The salmon fell apart easily and was so tender and juicy yet had a little crunch from the blackened top. The mashed potatoes were tangy and savory and cheesy and very good! My boyfriend got the majesty baby back ribs and subbed in the mashed potatoes and that originally only came with a slaw so we weren't expecting a veggie still. He had a huge portion of ribs and his was $2 less than mine still! He loved his meal, super tender and messy in the best way. Our server was otherwise very nice and we stayed and chilled for over two hours. We had a booth and were able to sit next to each other which we love! Nice vibes, can dress up or dress down
Was a great spot to try! Loved the outside seating and very spacious on the inside. They had some creative good cocktails. The apps were good. The deviled eggs lacked flavor even just salt. The entree's were good. The dry ribs were meaty and lean and were very savory. Loved the fries. Overall was a cute place.
My buddy and I have hit many brunch spots here in the Valley over the years. It was my turn to pick and The Neighborly came up as a place that was halfway between both our houses. This restaurant didn't disappoint. The Neighborly is a Common Ground Culinary restaurant (The Macintosh, Sweet Provisions, etc) and is located on 7th St in North Phoenix. It is close to several other great dining establishments in the Phoenix area. I love the mural on the outside of the building that greets you as you walk up. The dining room is comfortable and spacious. We came on a day that wasn't too busy and were sat right away. The staff was very welcoming and the service was great. My buddy and I usually have great discussions on life and the food and ambiance provided a nice setting for some good convo. No brunch can go without drinks and I started off with a Wake Up Call cocktail (their version of an espresso martini). The Brunch Bread Basket and Deviled Eggs were a great way to start off our dining experience here at The Neighborly. I am a big deviled egg fan and really enjoyed their version of them. The bread basket comes with cast iron cornbread and biscuits. I have really grown to appreciate grits and had the Southern Jalapeño & Cheddar Grits with Andouille Sausage as my main course. Everything was spot on and another visit at The Neighborly will definitely be in my future.
I really love the servers here. Each and every time, they're so friendly! The happy hour specials are great also! $2 oysters, sign me up! Love the mini martinis! I also loved the prawn risotto I had and the sticky toffee pudding, which I don't have a photo of because I always dive right in! So good! Reasons why stars off? The outdoor area sadly isn't dog friendly. And worse, the hubby had the French dip and was sick for days with what seemed like food poisoning. He said the bread was very stale. So that was disappointing because it even caused him to have to take a few days off work.
Sunday happy hour with the college boys. Made a reservation, were seated immediately in a tight booth with my husband and giant 20 year olds. Server is very sweet but her voice is so faint it's difficult to hear her list the specials in this noisy popular restaurant. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start while we pondered the menu. Right away I ordered the smoked salmon dip, which although served with tortilla chips I also brought my own rice crackers. This is a salty savory dip and a large portion, but I ate it all by myself! The table shared an order of prime rib sliders, and deviled eggs. The sliders were a favorite, the eggs were not! Boys! Number one son ordered the BBQ salmon, which came with a sesame orzo side and grilled asparagus. He did not care for this cold side dish that included tomatoes and cucumbers and gave the asparagus to his brother. The salmon was great, but he didn't get full and server never even asked why he hadn't touched his side dish. Husband helped supplement his meal with some of his half chicken which was a lovely roasted bird served on a pile of mashed potatoes. Other son ordered the butcher's cut which was a New York strip, with a loaded baked potato. He said it was a good steak but not very special, and he was dissatisfied with the value of this entree. For my meal I ordered the happy hour short rib nachos. This would seem to be a great value, but it came out completely cold from the Pico de gallo dumped on top. All of the cheese sauce and the short rib was piled on top of the chips, so there was nothing on the chips below the top layer. I think this is a cute dish that just needs a little fine tuning. Son ordered the gooey butter cake to fill him up after the salmon incident. It came with four spoons so we all helped!
I had a wonderful experience at Neighborly! I visited on a Saturday evening and I didn't have a problem securing a seat at the bar. The staff were so attentive. I started with a shrimp cocktail, then a salad. Both were filling and good on the palate. Although the bar wasn't crowded, I digged the vibe. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Accessible parking and entrance.

Came here for girls night. We got all the mini martinis and they were quite solid, and the perfect size for casual drinkers Iike ourselves. The patio was nice so we sat outside, and our server was great the whole night. Food was good, I recommend the Brussel sprouts the most! read more

We had a great Mother's Day at The Neighborly! Thank you The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu was perfect and has a great selection of options, and the food was tasty!! Everyone was happy with their choices and enjoyed their food and cocktails. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The whole place smells amazing! I was done eating and was ready to order another dish after smelling the kitchen. We would happily go back and I look forward to the next time we do. Thanks for making Mother's Day special. read more
Another great meal. We went to The Neighborly for restaurant week and I was not disappointed. The food was spectacular. The wait staff were very attentive, even as the place got busier. Parking can be a challenge when it's busy here. This is a friendly restaurant that is almost a sports bar but feels more like a restaurant. I have eaten both inside and outside and the service is great in either location. Go, eat, enjoy! read more

Met up with a friend after work and The Neighborly delivered a sweet little happy hour. The convo was too good so we missed snapping a pic of the food, but both the cauliflower and regular wings were so tasty. The fries were also perfectly thin and crispy. I also really enjoyed my dirty martini. For the desert we got the butter cake and it did not disappoint. Cute little spot; will be back to try out the patio during spring read more
Came for a mid week happy hour and loved it! Tried an assortment of dishes offered: poke, salmon salad, deconstructed deviled eggs, prime rib sliders! Sliders were so good that we got another order. Drinks were fabulous as well! read more
We stopped in for a quick drink after dinner and were bummed to see they closed at 10 on a Saturday, so we knew it'd be one and done. I ordered an espresso martini, and my husband got a Stella. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed. They didn't have Chopin, my vodka of choice, so I went with Belvedere. The drink came out looking as flat as it tasted, light in color and totally lacking that rich espresso flavor I was hoping for and it needs. It was also very weak in alcohol. As for the Stella, it was served in a can, which completely threw my husband off. He's never been served a canned Stella at a restaurant, and it definitely changed the taste for the worse. read more
Back to try bunch at The Neighborly, and they're still doing more right than wrong. Kira was our server: sweet, fast with the water, and didn't hover. A+ patio-side manner. We lucked out with a rare overcast July day (Phoenix's version of a miracle), so we snagged a spot outside. Misters weren't on at first, but once they got going, the patio went from a meh 6.5 to a chill 9. Ask and you shall receive. Drinks: Salty D.O.G.G. - Super tart, super refreshing. The salty rim was a little too enthusiastic, though. I'd order it again, just naked. 6/10. It's a Dry Heat - Margarita-adjacent. Pineapple flavor is shy but sweet, Tajín rim pulls it together. No heat, despite the name. Still, nice drink. 7/10. Neighborly Bloody Mary - Garlic + peppercorn vodka = genius move. Bloody was flavorful, not just spicy-for-the-sake-of-it. 7/10, but next time I'll ask for a kick. Food: Brunch Bread Basket - If you're not ordering this, you're doing brunch wrong. Those biscuits are actual perfection. Buttery, flaky, golden-brown divas. Even my Southern grandma would weep. Hands down, the best biscuits I've ever had in the valley. Cornbread's no slouch either--jalapeño flavor actually shows up. 12/10. Do not skip. BLT&E - Half a pig's worth of bacon, egg, and lettuce on thick country bread. Simple, but solid. Big enough to split. 8/10. Sides - Andouille sausage? Spicy, delicious, would order again. The hashbrowns, though... yikes. We asked for extra extra crispy and got "lightly steamed with commitment issues." Soggy, cold, sent 'em back. No notes--just no. Side note: They sent a gift card as a thank you for our last review (very kind, very neighborly), but this review is still all facts, I call it like I eat it. TL;DR: The Neighborly still crushes brunch. Stellar service, killer biscuits, drinks that mostly slap. Just skip the hashbrowns unless you're into soft drama. 9.5/10, will absolutely return again, still need to try that rotisserie chicken! read more
I came to The Neighborly today with two of my close girlfriends for a relaxed meal and cocktails. The vibe was cute and laid-back, and both the hostess and our bartender/server were truly wonderful. We ordered two skillets, Southern grits with andouille sausage & cheese, and the bread basket. Unfortunately, all of the entrées arrived lukewarm, which took the excitement out of the meal. No fault of our server at all, the food just didn't wow us the way we expected. That said, the bread basket stole the show. The jalapeño cornbread and biscuits were OUTSTANDING, and honestly, I wish I'd ordered the biscuits and gravy instead because I can only imagine how good that would be if served hot. Drink-wise: my slightly dirty martini was fantastic, one friend had a mint mocktail that was just okay, and the other kept it simple with orange juice. We were seated toward the back near the kitchen, which felt a little dull considering there were other great booths available, but we didn't make a fuss. The interior bar is very pretty, and the front booths looked especially inviting... definitely where I'd sit next time. Would I come back? Maybe for cocktails, that bread basket, and good company. Probably not specifically for a full meal. The four stars come down solely to the food being underwhelming and lukewarm, because the service and staff were genuinely lovely. read more

I was so looking forward to enjoying a nice meal, but it was very disappointing. Our waiter was also bartending so he was like annoyed that he had to take our table. I wasn't looking for entertainment, but he should mention his name and ask if we had questions. We wanted a non alcoholic drink, and he was acting so stupid, we wanted a strawberry mojito that was listed on line, but he acted as if we were asking for Louis XIII. I just had avocado toast, and we left. So dissatisfied. Guy with a bearded face and red hair? If he mentioned his name... I have to get up and ask someone else for my check... Really bad. A cute spot with good service ! My group had a few items, the chips with guac, the buratta, the halibut and the half bird. The mains were really good but the buratta was lacking for me. I think it was because I prefer bread and this dish had crackers with it. I'd go back though to try more items on the menu! read more
This is a great spot, we came with friends and sat at the bar for happy hour to enjoy some libations and great conversation. Everything was delicious Abigail was amazing, why a 4 and not a 5 star well portions. Happy hour is all about enjoying a deal at that in between time frame of work to dinner. Unfortunately they have decided to give you a small deal but cut all the portions in half. If I would have known this i probably would have paid more attention to what the full size price was cus we would have felt as though we had a more filling time. Despite that this place does serve amazing food drinks and the staff is so great that I can not be to overly negative. Great place for family or friends! I'd definitely recommend making a reservation 4-5 days out. My friend and I went on a Friday and if we didn't have a reservation we would've never been able to try this place. Overall the service was really good, as soon as I sat down I was immediately greeted which I LOVED. the only thing I was a tad disappointed in is that they introduced a new menu. This was my first time trying this place so based on previous reviews I was excited to try those meals, but the new menu seemed to get rid of a lot of it. So instead I got the BBQ rotisserie chicken with onion rings. It was good! No complaints but from the previous reviews it does seem like the old menu was better. I'd still go to this place again! The Neighborly has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine! The atmosphere is fantastic, warm, inviting, and just feels like the kind of place you want to spend a relaxing evening. The food menu is where this place really shines. I had an incredible meal on my last visit, focusing on their happy hour: Charred Brussels Sprouts: Absolutely fantastic. They had a great char and perfect seasoning, making them totally addictive. Oysters Rockefeller: These were spot on. Rich, savory, and cooked beautifully, a real treat. Wings (sauce on the side): The wings themselves were crispy and flavorful, and having the sauce on the side meant I could control the heat perfectly. Skillet Short Rib Nachos: If you need a serious comfort food fix, order these. The short rib was fork-tender, and the skillet kept everything warm and gooey. They are dangerously good. The food easily hits a 5-star mark for flavor and execution. You absolutely must try the food here! This is a must-visit. read more
Overall, I'd say it was a 3/5 starts because it was nice to try a new place but noting gave us the "WOW" factor if you know what I mean. Wouldn't go out of our way to return. We were visiting from out of state and per social media found this place but would probably say it's over hyped. The food was okay, nothing that was too memorable. Drinks were not bad but not great. Service was okay, not bad but again, nothing that stood out and gave us the want to return. Outside seating was available so we decided to try that, it was cool and calm but because we were outside I feel like we were less attended. The Neighborly is one of the best places in the Central Corridor for Saturday brunch with half price on all their bubblies. The BTLE has a half pound of fantastic bacon. Always received excellent service. read more

Came on a Friday night with a reservation,packed. . They really help each other and I like that, great service overall . I got the air in the night drink it was very good. Tip you are a cashless payment place. I did get the prime rib that had au jus and horseradish with goat cheese the prime was very very good and the mashed potatoes were good not too overwhelming on the goat cheese. I tried the spinach dip it came with tomatoes and red bell peppers on top of the chips very good. Lastly dessert I got the butter cake super yummy ,I did think personally the strawberry puree made it too sweet . read more

Amazing food - best service maybe ever at an American restaurant!!! They were on point the whole evening and the food was absolutely delicious. You won't be disappointed- very nice, comfortable outdoor seating area, pleasant relaxing music playing in the background just loud enough for ambiance. read more
We ate here for the first time & Im so happy we did. The Brunch Menu has many options. The restaurant is beautiful inside or outside seating is available & the parking is ok considering the area. Our waitresses took care of us. Food and drinks were always flowing. read more
