The parking near the dog park is small, with limited spots. There's a small and large dog side. This is literally the biggest small dog side I've been to. The big dog side is just as large. There's water available and plenty of pooper scoopers. I didn't see poopie bags. This is a very large park, I found that they have benches set up under the shade of the trees. My only negative is along the fence line, there's a lot of foxtails. I had to check my dogs before we left. Definitely a great place if your dog has the zoomies,and wants a big area to run around while not having to worry about running into other dogs

"Not as boring as I thought it would be"…read more I often visit Lake Chabot, but decided to try out this location instead. There's plenty of parking on the street close by. There does not appear to be any facilities anywhere in the park. On the map, it looks like just one paved trail going up the hill, but there's a lot more dirt trails as well. When you get close to the top, there's great views of Lake Chabot. Perhaps the highlight of my visit was the historical Nike missile launch site. It's fenced off so you can't get too close, but you can still see some old buildings. It's right next to the amateur radio antenna structure. So while this is still is not one of my favorite parks, it's a decent place to visit, once or twice.

Halcyon Park is on a dead end street, random passer byers would be rare. only the people in the…read moreneighborhood would know of this gem. the greens are immaculately trimmed. one can see the outsourced contractor working on the greens. it's a small park, 1.5 blocks in size. small parking area in front. children's play area in the rear, lots of greenery. a small area with a bbq pit and some benches. nice place to drop by to relax. not a destination. too small for a big gathering.

Like most parts of the paved trails are very well shaded from trees that have grown over those years. My dog and I walk for around an hour to hour and a half, so we usually pick west or east from the parking lot and return the same way. I think we've only explored like half of the lake so far. I've seen wild turkeys, deers, rabbits, and ducks around. And if you are wearing overear headphones, you get the natures remix with all the birds and insects chirping.

They…read moredo lots of races here and I've enjoyed running the bike trail up at the top coming through the Eucalyptus trees. It's's fun except for a challenging hill called live oak trail. If you've never tried it before, try running up the hill as fast as you can go. It will be a fun experience for you. You could thank me later. In the Marina. there's a small Cafe--sort of like a bar-and-grill except for no bar. They also sell fish, licenses and rent boats. I noticed some guests (mexicans) were allowed to skip the line or enter without having their wristbands checked, while others were required to show wristbands even when they were not swimming. When we had questions, staff members were not helpful and often ignored us, which made us feel unwelcome. The restroom facilities were also in poor condition. The bathrooms were dirty, had a strong unpleasant odor, and did not appear to be cleaned regularly. Overall, the customer service and facility cleanliness did not meet expectations. I hope management addresses these issues and ensures all visitors are treated fairly and respectfully.
