He was tortured with bi-hourly blood draws, insulin injections and diet he hated, for 6 weeks until I could get him to a specialist who determined he never had diabetes, but had been left on Prednisolone too long, which caused symptoms. So, erring on the side of diagnosing a lesser ailment until fully sure, rather than nearly killing him with harsh treatments he didn't need would have been better. Also, we spent over $2500 over those 6 weeks for visits, medication, equipment, etc

I chose this clinic because it advertises a family‑owned, fear-free experience, exactly what I wanted for a senior dog. Unfortunately, our visit was the opposite of fear-free. The vet came into the room without having fully reviewed his cardiology report or medical records. Within minutes, she told me (very bluntly and without context) that his heart was failing and he might have "around 18 months." This was based solely on a single in‑office exam of a nervous, shaking senior dog. It was extremely distressing, especially because she delivered it in a matter‑of‑fact tone with no empathy or reassurance. The appointment also felt rushed. Her vet tech had mentioned she was leaving for vacation the next day and we were her last appointment of the day and the entire interaction reflected that urgency. Despite how visibly upset I was, the vet continued with worst‑case scenarios, including telling me that at some point I would have to choose between protecting his heart or his kidneys. She then told me she couldn't help us any further and referred us to MedVet in Dallas, framing it as if he needed specialist, end‑of‑life management. Hearing that, without a full review of his records and without any compassion, was devastating and completely unnecessary. After the appointment, I confirmed with his cardiologist and primary vet that her assessment did not match his actual condition or prognosis. The emotional impact of that visit was significant and avoidable with proper preparation and communication. I'm giving 2 stars only because the front desk staff was kind and the office is clean and modern. But based on our experience, I cannot recommend this clinic for senior pets or for anyone seeking a thoughtful, fear-free approach.

The woman said Friday was the first apt they had. I said he needed to be checked today. She gave me the number of an emergency clinic that was in Grapevine (a considerable distance from both the clinic and myself) without bothering to find a closer one. I would expect a clinic with 5 vets would be able to squeeze in an urgent examination for an existing patient. Anyway, my 5 dogs are no longer their patients.

I feel scammed by this vet. In addition to the high prices they charge from the start, I paid for the home fecal exam and wasn't even given a vial to put the collection in, just asked to bring back the poop. The vet isn't exactly close to my house, so driving around with poop isn't always the first thing on my mind. Flash forward to another regular vet visit where they charged me again. During my third visit they wanted to charge me again. I said I wasn't paying for it again and asked if they would use the credits I already paid for since they could see that they never provided any results (because they NEVER did a test). They said, "No, the requests expire." I was so flabbergasted as such a dumb reply that I just didn't even say a word. Sure, a request might expire, but I didn't have a written request and I have a crazy thought here, but they could reissue the request. She also went on to say that he seemed healthy, so it probably wasn't necessary anyway. So I have paid twice for something you didn't even think was necessary AND didn't do. Got it. My dog is 14 and the poor fella has yucky teeth. Typically, all vets will shy away, or at least express large concern of putting them under for a teeth cleaning, for any senior dog. It's taken me a while to write this review because every time I think about it, I get angry again…read more We brought our yorkie in late one night because she still wasn't acting herself after seeing our normal vet for a foot infection from a grass seed. She was on antibiotics and a steroid and we noticed she still did not want to drink or eat. When we got there, we were told that they were a little busy and there would be a wait, which we didn't mind. When we were called to the exam room, we told the tech what was going on and our girl was brought to the back for an exam. She was then brought back and we were told "she looks fine and is doing the way better compared to the other animals currently being treated." I asked if they needed to draw blood to check anything and I was told it was not necessary. A week later, we noticed a steady decline and took her back to her normal vet who discovered she was in severe kidney failure with numbers so high, the machine could not register. We wonder to this day if the staff that night took the time to care for our dog, if we could've had more time with our girl. Or at least been able to say goodbye to her in our own time.
