The vet seemed to have a different opinion but wasn't in a rush to schedule anything. Luckily my pup didn't need further evaluation for her leg, but the vet techs handled her very nicely and let me hold her to make her less anxious. This isn't a low cost vet practice by any means, but the cost for her vaccinations and medications seemed reasonable. I will be coming back with my baby!

Five stars doesn't begin to be enough…read more On May 24, my 12-year-old dog, Kozzy--a gentle, docile soul--was attacked by a German Shepherd while we were out on a walk. The dog bit deeply into his face, causing severe injuries. We initially took him to an urgent care veterinarian, where his wounds were stitched, but infection quickly set in. From there, we were referred to a specialist emergency hospital in Prosper, where Kozzy stayed for several nights. He stopped eating, became increasingly miserable, and underwent multiple procedures to remove dead and infected tissue. Around June 1, after four or five days of treatment, we received devastating news. We were told that Kozzy's prognosis was poor, that skin grafts would likely be necessary, and that there was no guarantee they would succeed. By that point, he even had a feeding tube. We were heartbroken and had already spent more than $10,000 trying to save him. That evening, in a state of desperation, I searched online for soft tissue surgeons for dogs and found Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital. Although it was already 7:30 PM, I called expecting to leave a voicemail. To my surprise, Kim answered. She was compassionate, caring, and genuinely concerned. She encouraged me to bring Kozzy in the very next day and told me, "Dr. Carver is amazing. If anyone can help your dog, it's him." The next morning, my husband and I picked up Kozzy and brought him to see Dr. Carver. Before even examining him, Dr. Carver sat down with Kozzy, offered him wet dog food and even part of his own hamburger patty, and simply spent time talking to him. Kozzy is usually fearful and timid around people, but he immediately responded to Dr. Carver. Watching that instant connection brought us tremendous comfort. Throughout his stay, Kozzy was kept in a full patient room, not a kennel. Kim made sure staff members checked on him multiple times each day, and we were welcomed to visit him daily. We brought homemade food and his favorite bed to keep him comfortable, and the entire staff treated him with genuine love and care. Dr. Carver then performed a complex surgery to repair Kozzy's wounds. It was a lengthy procedure that took several hours, but he successfully reconstructed the damaged areas. Afterward, I was able to spend time with Kozzy, comforting him as he recovered. Dr. Carver also placed him in an oxygen enclosure overnight to help support the healing process. Kozzy remained at the hospital for seven days. Today, he has a few scars and a slightly crooked smile, but he is alive, healing, and happy--and for that, we are beyond grateful. The difference between this clinic and our previous experience was extraordinary. Dr. Carver, Kim, and the entire staff demonstrated not only exceptional medical expertise but also genuine compassion, warmth, and constant communication. They gave Kozzy a second chance when we feared all hope was lost. I only wish we had found them from the very beginning. They brought all necessary equipment with them, including a scale to weigh my pet. They even brought treats that my dog loves to help her remain calm throughout the visit, which was held in my own living room. My pet needed medications and ReadiVet had them available immediately in their company vehicle during the visit. They were able to provide everything she needed without me having to go to my local pharmacy to get her prescriptions filled. They even had her monthly heartworm preventative available on the spot. They also have one in-clinic location in case you decide you would rather take your pet in to be seen instead of an in-home visit. Their prices were actually cheaper than my local veterinarian, which was a nice surprise since they came to my home. ReadiVet is extremely reasonable and professional in all ways. They even called after the visit to check on my pet to see how she was doing! I could not ask for a better, more consistent service for my pet, and the in-home experience was so wonderful. First time was for new patient visit and vaccines, second for her teeth cleaning which was over 700$ and then third time to recheck an area at the base of her tail because she was missing hair- $200. I usually give my cat gabapentin for long visits or wellness visits where she gets shots like her vaccines and obviously for her dental visit. But for a random check up on a small itchy lesion on the base of her tail that had already been previously reviewed, I didn't think to give her the gabapentin. She just got weighed and she just got given antibiotics from her dental treatment and she's not showing any symptoms of disease or sickness. Well, the assistant got clearly annoyed with me when I told her I hadn't given Darla any gabapentin, then she grabbed my cat without asking and said they were going to have to take her to the back to review her, when I asked why, because I just needed a visual opinion from the doctor about her hair loss spot, she said "because you didn't give her her gabapentin and she's known to bite" ---- After posting this review the manager of the practice, Duke, who said he's been here 17 years, apologized and gave me a credit for the service that was rendered without consent. You never want to have to use emergency vet services, but when the unexpected happens, you are so…read moregrateful to have them. We used MedVet Frisco's services to help care for our dog Sophie when she was having a medical emergency, and we were really pleased with the level of care she was given. Sadly, Sophie did not make it, but it's really important to recognize how hard MedVet Frisco worked to give our girl a fighting chance. My husband and I are forever grateful to Dr. Tierney and Dr. Triplett who worked in the subsequent days to stabilize her and assess what if anything could be done to heal her. The medical emergency happened unexpectedly. One moment Sophie was on a routine walk, the next; she was having some kind of respiratory attack, like she was hyperventilating. Having just been to our normal vet only 4 days prior; we called them first and described the situation. They immediately referred us to MedVet Frisco because they said she would need to be placed in an oxygen cage, which was not available at their facility. I called MedVet to let them know we were on our way, and based on what I told them about what was happening, they said they would meet us at the car with a gurney. When we arrived in the parking lot, the medical team met us at our car to transfer Sophie to a gurney and rushed her inside to immediately start working on stabilizing her. I was also given paperwork to acknowledge how much of a deposit would need to be taken to get started. From there we were led to a quiet waiting room, and after a while, the doctor was able to give us an update on her condition. She had pneumonia in the right lung and it was spreading to her left. Over the next few days we placed deposits on her care so she could remain in the oxygen cage, and have more tests run to see what was going on, but she was not getting better. We got to visit Sophie in the evenings, but the last day, we knew it was time to say goodbye. You never want to see your pet suffer, and knowing that she could not even breathe outside the oxygen cage, and her quality of life was not getting better, it was time to let her run free. We had all the time we needed to see her on her way, and after she was put to sleep; we were given more time in a private room to hold her and grieve. The choices we made for her cremation were taken care of before she was put to sleep and we were told we would receive an email in a few days to make adjustments if we wanted any changes made. After that, a refund would be issued to us, since we had already made a deposit on that night's overnight stay. After 2 weeks, we were able to pick up Sophie's cremated remains, and bring her back home. The kindness and professionalism of the team at MedVet Frisco will always be remembered. We had hoped for the best and the reality was Sophie was 14 years old. The doctors worked very hard to give us their assessments and what options were available. We felt like they were doing all they could to help our girl while being humane and cognizant of her fragile condition. The care was expensive, but I also have to recognize that they gave her round-the clock care, tests and did what they could to make her last days as comfortable as possible. This gave us peace of mind knowing that she got the best care available- because we know she'd do the same for us. I'm very grateful to MedVet for having excellent doctors and staff that care and are outstanding professionals. Thank you.

I want to thank this MedVet team for saving my cat's life…read more Olive was attacked by two coyotes the night of April 20th. She had extensive nerve damage to her face and was not able to swallow any food or react to any touch on the left side of her face. Immediately after finding her, I called MedVet. I brought her in within an hour and a half and she stayed there Monday and Tuesday. I have never felt as comfortable leaving my 16 year old cat at a vet's office as I felt leaving her here. I could see that the staff had true intention of making her comfortable and working her towards recovery. The staff was endearing and prompt every time I called them (multiple times a day) and every time I randomly showed up to spend time with my Olive. The love they had for Olive was obvious. I had never been through anything like this and I would not have been as okay as I was without the staff at this location. They put in an esophageal feeding tube for her due to her being unable to swallow. Putting a 16 year old cat under has its own risks, but they allowed me to come by before the procedure and spend nearly two hours with Olive, alone in a room, before the risky procedure. Dr Triplett was the doctor who performed the procedure and when I went to the Dallas MedVet location to purchase her etube collar, the employees had nothing but praises towards her and her one of her staff workers, Erin. I could not have agreed more with them. They were patient in teaching me exactly how it worked and once again were very patient with me every time I called or emailed them with nonsense following Olives discharge. The staff suggested that even showing signs beginning to swallow could start around 8-12 weeks, but we are 4 weeks later and she is about 90% back to normal. No feeding tube and back to her regular eating habits. Once again, I cannot thank the staff enough at this location for taking care of my Olive and I during an incredibly stressful time.

I woke up on Friday and it was clear things were deteriorating, by midday it was clear he was suffering. I searched for open vets and found Legacy Drive. The price was in line with what many vets charge and they were open. We rushed to their location, and called about 15 minutes before arrival asking for a room to be ready. When we arrived we were directed to a waiting room and staff arrived with 2 minutes to start the process (eg, determine if he was an acceptable candidate for euthanasia and other required paperwork). Though we've never been there before, the staff was compassionate, skilled, and professional. This was my wife's first dog and the experience of euthanizing him, was more than sad for her. The bedside manner of the doctor and staff was flawless, as was their skill. I've had to euthanize 4 other dogs throughout my life and none were as peaceful as this procedure. I found the price reasonable (less than the estimate) and they made a bad situation as good as can be. Although they are a far drive, I am considering using them as our primary care vet based on this experience.

And lastly to Dr Steele I have met her once before during a very sad time when I had to make the decision to put my sick cat down. Dr Steele is compassionate and an excellent veterinarian. She did everything she could to help him and I am thrilled she was the Veterinarian who did my Murphy's extractions today. When I went to pick him up she greeted me and explained his procedure to me in detail I adore her I should also mention this whole procedure today was less expensive than I expected it to be.
