Man at front called my house called me a liar and I have the records to prove i called more than once I then called old vet but been banned from all vector owned facilities so they really care about your animals. Getting care elsewhere. I never even went inside! I followed the instructions the Dallas office gave me to go pick up my records which got me banned. Normally very satisfied with Vetsavers in Carrollton however they unfortunately are NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS like they claim. Website and even the facility door claims to be open 8am - 1pm on Sundays, however that does not appear to be accurate. Arrived at facility at 7:45am on Sunday (due to minor issue with pup on Saturday evening), still at the facility as of 9:00am and no one has arrived, door still locked. Automated phone service says they are closed, no on call person to talk to, and no available appointment slots through their website. Additionally, sent email but unfortunately have still not received a response. All this leads me to believe they are not in fact open on Sundays. Unfortunate and honestly hoping to be able to update/revise. They have previously been a good vet when you have a scheduled appointment M-F from 8am - 5pm which is why I did not do a 1* review. I am writing this due to watching six other people attempt visiting today. Hoping this helps them avoid waiting like I have. read more

We've been using Vetsavers for a while now - few years? - and Dr Stillie along with the other staff we interact with are SO, so impressive, especially for providing affordable care. We have two 19-year old cats, and one is finally showing his age and having some issues. While we can't always figure everything out overnight, we've made great progress and Morgan is doing great. He may be old and scruffy and have slowed down a lot, but he's happy, has a hearty appetite, and is drinking plenty of water. We are so grateful. Dr Stillie even calls back in evenings after his busy days to follow up when needed, and he works with us on care when we want to weigh in and add our thoughts. I don't think you can fake this level of care - he really cares. Such a gift. Special circumstances aside, routine visits are easy and affordable. This place rocks. They refused to see the dog because the previous owner "had hostile behavior in the lobby". I explained that he's in the hospital (he was diagnosed with dementia) and it would be me bringing the dog in, but they refused. Obviously this place does not care about animal welfare! Had to handle my cat the whole time I was there. Since he was stressed he peed everywhere and they made me pick him up, put him on the scale, as well as putting him back into his own carrier full of pee. They never cleaned him up nor his kennel and said they don't clean kennels nor pets. I have never been to a vet I had to get filthy to help them do their job nor have I been to a vet where they don't clean kennels nor our pets when they defecate all over themselves. I will never bring my poor cat to this place again. read more

The appointment was timely and thorough. However, they twice rejected the Rx request for my pup even though she had just been in for a thorough exam so I lowered my 5 star posted ating I had posted to a 1 star. After multiple phone calls and resubmitting my order a third time, I hope they have approved and sent it through. So I bumped my rating back up. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Took my new puppy in for shots and while I was waiting the people at the front desk were talking and laughing about the cancellation fees they charge. I thought it's only fair if someone no shows but didn't think anything of it. I made my next appointment for pups next round of shots. I show up on scheduled appointment and was told I didn't have an appointment and that my appointment was rescheduled for the previous day that I no showed for. I told them I did not reschedule and they must've done so without my approval. The girl was so rude and said they'd still see me but I had to pay the cancellation fee and that visit fee up front before they'd see my pup which they'd "work us in" but I'd have to wait. I told them that was not right because I didn't cancel or reschedule but she rolled her eyes at me and said she wasn't going to argue with me and that's how it is. I'd forgotten my pups records there on last visit so I asked for them back because we'd be going somewhere else and they have falsified the records. They wrote in dates we were never there vaccinations we didn't get. This is so not right and I'm so mad. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My last encounter with VetSavers was in January, but my review (for some reason) is still not showing on Google since I have posted it. So, I decided to try shortening my review and posting it to Yelp. Dr. Anderson is by far the WORST veterinarian I have ever encountered. And, I mean ever. I don't know if I met her on one of her bad days or she decided to be judgmental and ill-mannered towards me based on my dogs' missing files (we moved to another city) and me wanting to get a titer test before I got my dog vaccinated. Whatever the reason was, her demeanor was careless and unfriendly. Not only was her demeanor ugly and disparaging, but she misdiagnosed my dog. The one part of the incident I did want to share is in regards to her unprofessionalism. Towards the end of the appointment, she's in a rush to tell me "If you have more questions, I will get Dr. Hall to call you, mmkay?" and that's when I lose my patience and I ask her if she's in a rush (because that's what it felt like from the start of this "consultation"). She hastily says no and I tell her that from the beginning she had been calling my female dog a HE, she denies it and says she was talking about Dr. Hall. Really? You were talking about Dr. Hall's loose incisors? I mean come on. She could have just admitted fault, but of course she's going to make up an excuse. There was so much more I could have pointed out, but I decided I had enough at that point and I just wanted to take my dog back home. As a professional, if you made a mistake, just own up to it. Just say sorry and move on, but no her pride didn't allow her to do that. I still feel bad that I had even let my dog see her. Everyone, pets are family. My dogs are my life, and I realized you get what you pay for. I will no longer try to seek out affordable practices for routine dentals and just go to my regular vet in Austin for everything regardless of the price. How do I even begin to review this place? Our groomer recommended Vetsavers to us after we expressed our frustrations with our previous vet. From the first visit, I was blown away. The customer service from EVERYONE who works there is unbelievable. These people all obviously love animals, but they also care about their human clients, and it shows. My dog Bella was on the verge of losing her hearing due to a massive infection (which our other vet had pretty much given up on), but Dr. Mace aggressively treated it and got it fixed. Today, I had to have my best buddy Rico put down after a long bout with congestive heart failure. I was a train wreck, but they took such amazingly good care of us, and I will never, ever forget the tremendous compassion and kindness they showed both me and my dog. Dr. Mace, you are a blessing. They let me stay with him through the whole process, and I will forever be so grateful for that. The people here CARE, and in this day and age, that can be hard to find. This is by far one of the worst vet clinics i have ever dealt with. They have misdiagnosed my dogs costing me more money and they could careless its business as usual for them is the impression i get. The probem isnt the Vets its the owners that know whats going on but fail to do anything about it. Is the dollar signs blunding them. I feel like they misdiagnosed my dogs on purpose so that I could come back and pay another office visit fee. I have spent more noney here than i have for my own doctor office visits. Another thing i dont like is that they take your dog in another room to give them test or whatever, how do i know these test are really being done. The behavior of the vet was disgusting when I told her how I felt. I dont see how this place is still open. read more

This vet clinic absolutely failed our family. I sent the following email to the clinic on August 24, 2020, and after waiting for a response for over two weeks, I've decided to post it online. I hope to save someone else this heartache. "I called early Saturday morning after our dog had tried to attack our baby. I was concerned that his aggression was escalating and that his mind was slipping. I was extremely upset, and I expressed that I thought it was time to put him to sleep, but that I wanted some guidance. I was told that there was a vet on call for the weekend, and that I would either receive an email/call this weekend or first thing Monday morning.  I called the clinic at 10:30am, and I was again assured I would receive a call when the vet got out of his appointment. I waited until 5:30pm. I called back, and again, I was told he would call me back when he was free. I asked when that would be, because I had been told that several times. They would not answer me, and I told her to disregard the message and I would call another clinic.  It is INHUMANE to tell someone they could count on your return communication about the death of the dog they've had for a decade and then never follow up. My wife got bitten this morning. My old, confused dog has been locked in an office crying for three days. This should have been handled hours ago. Your office has drawn out and added so much anxiety to an already traumatic series of events. I am horrified at your irresponsibility.  This has been absolutely awful, and I truly hope you can get your communication figured out before someone else has to experience the consequences of your apathy." read more

I started my journey with VetSavers with an emergency visit to the Dallas clinic. Although they don't normally accept walk-in's, they graciously let me bring my very sick dog in, and they were absolutely wonderful. Fast forward to my other dog, an 18 year old, who needed to have extensive dental work. I looked for years for a vet that would work on her, but nobody would because of her age. Dr. Mace was willing to work with me and take care of my girl. Dr. Bak - who is the most awesome surgeon EVER - took the best care of my girl and now she is healthy and happy (minus a bunch of teeth). I am so grateful to the Dallas staff and to Dr. Bak. I cannot speak highly enough of the Dallas staff (especially Courtney and Joanne) - they are kind, compassionate, and extremely wonderful to work with. The Carrollton staff could use some training in customer service, but they were efficient. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place ever. After my last visit, Dr. Emelie Karlsson, the Manager Amanda & the front fest receptionist Donna. All were unprofessional and never did what was needed to be done. I have a 8 yr old Lab/Doberman whom is a rescue that unfortunately has high anxiety, and becomes extremely stressed when he goes into the room so he has to be sedated for his appts. Dr.Karlsson, come into the room with her assistant and was absolutely no help. In the room they wanted me 109lbs girl to forcefully put my dog in a headlock to be able to give the sedation. Mind you the reason for the visit is because he has a severe ear infection in both ears so to the softest touch he cries from the pain. Not once did the assistant try to help, after me suggesting a lil help would possible work, the assistant caught a attitude asked for my dogs leash and left the room. When they came back they informed they tried to have a male doctor hold him for the sedation, but that didn't work. While waiting for the Doctor to come which she never did, the Manager Amanda with purple hair came back to discuss what wasn't of much help. This whole appointment becomes frustrating because as a Vet hospital, as a Veterinarian, as a Vet assistant this is y'all job, this is what you graduated with a degree in but no one in the office knows how to deal with an high anxiety dog???? doesn't make sense. This lady comes back to provide medicine antibiotics and steroids to give to him to help with the infection. Not once did the doctor look at his ear, not once did she even try any other methods to see what the problem was. Got to the front, and Donna the receptionist is TEXTING ON HER PHONE. But she's not even aware that i'm standing there waiting for her to acknowledge that it's time to check us out. So many questions unanswered, I asked Donna to go ask the doctor further questions due to the fact that the Doctor never came back to see us. At this point i understood i was never coming back here but i still needed to know how do i clean his ears, what do i use, is there something she can suggest? none of the questions was answered. She instantly caught an attitude, rolling her eyes. Requested the manager to come to the front and talk and all of a sudden she left the building within literally a couple mins of us coming from the back. Overall very disappointed, and I trusted them which is why he's only been to this facility but never again. read more

We can always count on Vetsavers for regular visits and for more important exams. Skooti had back surgery a couple of years ago and was not acting herself. I called in on a Saturday and Joann, who is wonderful, fit her in. Dr. Mace thoroughly examined Skooti for her back and ran lab work to make sure nothing else was wrong. The very next day, Sunday, Dr. Mace sent me an email confirming the lab work results were normal. You cannot ask for veterinary care for your pups. read more

I took my Great Dane here for years when we lived in Carrollton. We moved across the country and unfortunately there are no locations where we are now. I cannot recommend vetsavers enough. they are so caring, responsive, and trustworthy. It also helps that it didn't cost a fortune every time we came in. Especially with a gentle, more fragile breed, it can be hard to find a clinic you feel safe and comfortable with but they are so knowledgeable and addressed every concern I had with patience and grace. We have been bringing our Shih Tzu pup here for about 5 years and have always received great care. They are very good about staying on top of preventative care and making sure shots, blood work, tests etc remain updated. Dr. Walters explained everything very well with our most recent visit. Horrible customer service! I want non-anesthesia teeth cleaning.Took my dog in for the preliminary pre-requisite visit ($65), in late June. The vet looked at her mouth for 30 seconds and said, "We'll need to do some extractions." I said I just want the teeth cleaning, thanks. So the office worker said the next teeth cleaning date was July 27th ... okay. Then two days later, she texted me and said she was sorry, but the teeth cleaning was changed to August 2nd at 8a...okay. In the interim, I got my dog an updated bordatella booster, as they requested & emailed it to them, requesting they respond to acknowledge receipt - No answer. I called 2 days later, and one of the workers finally found the email and acknowledged receipt. At 6:30p on July 31st, the office texted me that my teeth cleaning was for the NEXT DAY, August 1st ay 11:40a!! So I moved around my schedule, at the last minute, in order to meet their request ( funny how they charge the CUSTOMER for less than 24 hr appointment cancellations, but WE don't get any compensation when they do it!!!! ).Then, I called ahead just to confirm because I had conflicting information. They were SO rude! The office manager talked over me the whole phone call and they BLAMED ME, when I had PROOF that they had NEVER sent me an email or a text changing the appointment with less than 24 hrs notice. I even spoke to the supposed clinic manager over his head, and she was just a vociferous that everything was my fault, not theirs. Then she told me she was cancelling my appointment, and I said, honey, I wouldn't bring a pet cockroach to your clinic! They NEVER apologized. They talked over means refused to look at my texts and emails. Avoid this place!!!! They DON"T CARE about their customers. And therefore they probably are horrible to your pets! read more

Terrible. This place has caused me great anguish topped by the fact that I had to put my beloved pomeranian down. I knew Shermie was at the end of her life and was already in tears before bloodwork or x-rays were performed and the lack of compassion from the vet just baffles me. I hadn't even been told yet that she needed to be put down and the women couldn't even attempt to act like she cared in the least. Fast forward to getting the dreaded phone call pertaining to Shermie's results and she couldn't even attempt to break the news softly or with an ounce of empathy. She jumped right into saying it looks bad and Shermie was critical. She went on to ask if we wanted cpr to be performed in the event that I could not get there in time and I said yes. Her response, "That will cost extra." She promptly hung up the phone. I was losing the love of my life and I can't get over how little this women cared about my dog, her patient. I will never step foot in vetsavers again and will be reaching out to as many people as I can in the DFW pomeranian groups I am a part of. I will forever have nightmares over the lack of compassion this vet demonstrated during one of the most traumatic times of my life. read more

I have been going here for many years! There have been a few times that the wait time was less than ideal (as some reviews mention) but in those several years that I've been going here, Dr Stillie has been an incredible veterinarian to my pups. He's kind, compassionate, empathetic, and up front. He's understanding that visits can be costly so he lets me know what's needed now and what can wait. He's been around for the deaths of my dogs, and when I adopted a new baby almost two years ago. I drive a ways to see him now but it's worth it to me. We love Dr Stillie! read more

Very poor communication skills, my dog was lethargic, and not eating, and threw up 3 times last night. I didn't get any diagnosis after $259 of X-rays and $256 of lab work and a $65 saline IV. To top it off, they called me at 4 PM to tell me to come pick him up at 6 PM and request pre-payment over the phone. I cannot recommend the VetSavers Carrollton location. read more

I've been going to vetsavers for some time and they are affordable. But the last visit gave me some pause of what is going on behind the scenes there. I told them not to do a service several times and then they charged me for it. I thought this was a mistake, but they swore up and down they did it. When I asked them about why they did the service without my consent, the story changed. They now said they did not do the service, but I had left before they could refund me. They have my contact information and made no effort to contact me about the mistakes. If I didn't check my receipt and follow up, they would have continued to charge me for things they did not perform. I use those receipts to remind me of whether my pet's check up materials are up to date, but if those receipts are not accurate, it makes me worried. It reduces my confidence of earlier visits that they are actually performing the preventive checks, while continuing to charge customers. read more

This place has really gone down hill. I used to take my animals here whenever I needed to see a vet. Before today, the last vet I saw here really worked with me to help me save my pets life. Well I called here again as soon as I needed my pet to be seen again. My husband and I are both two very busy people. When I submitted a request for an appointment, the lady that called me back did absolutely nothing but guilt trip me that I couldn't get my pet in that day. I was in tears calling my husband to let him know what happened. Another week goes by and my pet is still sick. We were finally able to get an appointment, but they made a big point when we brought my pet in that only one person could be in the room with the pet. I went to ask the receptionist why I had now seen two pets be allowed both owners in the room. The response I got was valid but then he had the nerve to be like "anything else?". The tall skinny with glasses and tattoos was the worst one. Please fire him. Where has the customer service gone. I understand the rules regarding the pandemic but they have lost all respect from me. Period. I'm going to be looking for a new vet so I don't have to put up with this bullcrap anymore. read more

Been going to Vetsavers Pet Hospital for over a year now for my dog's yearly healthcare needs. The front desk staff here is great and the vets are very knowledgeable and professional. Prices are exhibited in the front, so you know what you're going to pay for. They have walk-in visits for various reasons (anal gland expression, etc) or you schedule ahead for check ups. They also do various surgeries and have an emergency services if needed. Awesome place and definitely recommend it. You can see some of the negative reviews, but it's usually complaining about $. Having a pet isn't cheap and people should know that before. Vet costs are the biggest expenses and is a big burden, but it's something you need to be able to do. Luckily, the people here work with you and offer great service on top of that. read more
