Use to love this place but I went to get tires rotated and they handed me my hubcap and said they could not get it back on and were worried about breaking it. Still charged me full price for tire rotation. I studied the hubcap and reattached 3 metal clips and it went back on. Took me 5 min. I understand if you are scared to put it back on (but that is kinda your job) It would have been nice to offer some discount on 100$ tire rotation. read more

CONFUSING!!!??? I live about 2 miles away from the one in Racine so I called them. I have a very bad right rear tire bearing... I called around and they were SO NICE on the phone... I told them I was strapped for funds but they told me I could apply for a cc card which was easy... So I brought in -- it was nice they gave me a loaner and said all that I have to do is fill it up with gas completely before I returned. The next day they called and said the work would be somewhere between $600 and $800 but my frame was really bad and basically discouraged me from getting any work done so I agreed. So I drove their car back, which I never drove that car but home and back there but when I went to fill it up the meter went to $5 and was going to go more... what the hell? Whoever had it before me didn't bother to fill it and because I trusted them I didn't bother to check, nor would I have known anyway as their gas gauge is foreign to me. When it filled to almost $5 I stopped, no way did I used $5 in gas. When I got there I said something about it but I didn't get any cash back from them, I think I said no big deal, but really they should have insisted... I know I would have. Here I am an old scared woman who's obviously stressed out about my vehicle... Anyway, I then signed the release for my vehicle back and got the keys but started talking to the guy I'd originally talked to... he actually told me his vehicle was like that but still he drove it for quite a long time and had no problem... Luckily they didn't charge me for check the engine which was $76 -- At first I thought they did and I got very upset, which was my mistake but still, I had to give them $5, which should have been about $2 and now I have a vehicle and not sure what I should. I can't afford to spend hundreds to have it fixed and have it break apart and yet told by a pro on the side not to worry about it, and yet yesterday when I drove it, that wheel bearing sounded so awful I was very scared. ???? read more

This is my 2nd experience with RichLonns. First was several years ago when I needed a new tire the day after Thanksgiving. I had a good experience so when my previous mechanic closed for good, I chose to return here. I called to schedule my appointment and they were able to get me in within the week. Drop off was easy. We reviewed what I mentioned over the phone. Aaron followed up with me throughout the day on the status of repairs and explained things in detail. I was happy to pick my car up at end of day. Noticed an immediate difference while driving. No more shaking steering wheel and it was quieter than when dropped off. I still plan to return to them for future repairs and maintenance. read more

I stopped to have a slow leak fixed. No leak found but they pressed me to buy a new set of tires. Said mine were practically bald and in need of replacement. Thing is, they weren't. Since the tires on my car we're only a couple years old, I went across town to the dealership where I originally bought them and was told they weren't even close to needing replacement. This shop is always booked two weeks out and that is understandable. I called for an oil change and booked an appointment slot. I was told that if I dropped off the car the night before they could get to the oil change first thing because they were "really busy." However, two days before I was to bring my car in, the driver side window would not go up. I called the night before my scheduled oil change and was told if I brought the car over 15 minutes before the shop closed they would pull it inside and look at the window the next day. I drove my car over in negative degree weather, with the window down; to get my car there to make sure it would have a spot inside as they said. When I arrived I was told that they had pulled all the cars in and wouldn't be able to move my car inside. No offers to it swap out with a car that has functioning windows or to help me block the interior of the car from the elements. Was sent away while being told I could leave the car in the parking lot overnight or bring it back in the morning. Seeing as it is winter in WI, I decided I wasn't going to leave my car with the window down parked on busy 76th street all night. I then get back in the car to drive back home in the freezing cold weather to turn around to drive back the next morning in 3-degree weather. I arrived 10 minutes before they opened, so I waited until doors were unlocked and they were open for business. When I handed them my keys and told them of the situation they said that they now would not be able to get to the window, they only have time for the oil change. I understand I am not their only customer and they need to make time for all appointments that day, but I have been bringing cars there for 3+ years now. I don't have the tools at home to take apart the door and look at it myself. I just needed some help while they had my car in their care and they would not be bothered to try and make it work. For a company that states their "goal is to focus on customer service." and "It is the foundation of their business." Their actions and attitude speaks otherwise. I will be looking for a different shop to have my auto service done. Their attitude seemed to speak as though we should feel privileged to have Rich Lonns work on our automobile at all. read more

Went in with a flat tire when they had an hour and twenty minutes before they closed. Wouldn't take me. Drove a block away to a Firestone. They were happy to take my money. Wish I had gotten the pleasant employee's name who refused my service. Wonderful customer service Firestone ended up getting a grand from me. Love This places business model. Good job read more

Richlonn's Tire and Service on 76th street took great care of me! I dealt with Brett yesterday for a phone quote and then Dave and John in store today. I spoke briefly with Dave (over the phone) about what I needed done (tires, tie-rod/swaybar repair, oil change) and asked if it could be completed by 5pm, he assured me it would. I showed up shortly after and John assisted me with three tire options. One I had researched extensively and had my mind set on and two others they recommended by my request. I decided on the tires I wanted and he mentioned they'd have them on site inside an hour. They went to work while I waited and as promised the work was completed 45min before I needed the vehicle back. They drove the vehicle and inspected the front end to diagnose the clunking I mentioned and told me they found no defects. (Could have easily sold me a part I didn't need.) Installed new tires and performed an oil change. I am 100% pleased with the experience and would recommend this place to anyone. I'll be back for tires on our other vehicle soon. Great place! Was not impressed with this shop. Zero stars would be given if I could. First time I tried to get service completed. I was told they can't because they are busy and booked solid. Even though I could see 4 open bays. Made an appointment, showed up and was told that I missed it by 7 minutes.. Guy at the counter was just doing his job, but the guys in the back room were the issue. Glad it turned out the way it did because I found a better auto/tire shop that met and exceeded my expectations. Don't go here, go to A&A tires in greenfield. You will be glad you did! read more

We made an appointment for my son to take his car in to have a tire checked because it was losing air. He bought the tires here. He was in town for the holiday and was leaving that day. We made sure they knew that. The appointment was for 10:30. We dropped the car at 9:30. We called at 12:30 to check on it. They hadn't started it yet, asked if they were going to get to it they said yes, early afternoon. Called back at 4:00, still hadn't gotten to it, asked if they were going to get to it they said maybe but not sure. My son had to leave for home. He goes to pick up the car, they throw the keys on the counter, no apologies, nothing. They didn't say a word. Terrible customer service. We were looking to get new tires on our car but will not go there. We definitely do not recommend them. read more

I've been a long time customer of Richlonn's utilizing 4 of the 5 locations at one time or another and have been nothing been impressed by my experiences. I have always purchased my tires from Richlonn's GoodYear in Greendale as the customer service is excellent, the prices are competitive, and all future tire rotations are free. Recently, the dealership where I had purchased my vehicle from had informed me that I would need to have new tires before installed before wintertime. Rather than using the dealership I scheduled an appointment to have new tires installed at Richlonn's. When I went in to have this done after waiting for only a short amount of time a technician came out and inquired as to why I was purchasing new tires for my vehicle. After explaining to him what I had been told by the dealership he let me know that unless I did not like my existing tires, new tires were not needed at this time. He went on to explain that my existing tires were still in very good condition and that I had not used up even half of the available tread on them. The fact that I was told this rather than simply sold something that was both costly and unnecessary was a wonderful surprise. It is good to know that there are still some honest businesses out there and I cannot recommend them more highly to anyone who is in need of new tires (or any other services that they offer). read more

This has always been my go-to car place for honest advice and respectful treatment, yet today's visit was like walking into a disorganized mess. Since the shop is usually busy, I made an appointment and showed up on-the-dot. No one was in the show room, nor the waiting room, I couldn't find anyone, so waited by the shop door. Still no one emerged. Then I walked into the shop door. A couple workers saw me, but never asked what I needed. Eventually several minutes later, someone came over and told me to check in inside. I said that no was in there. Eventually a shop guy checked me in and when I returned to pick up my car over an hour later I told them my name. The worker looked for my paperwork and said, "The car must still be in the shop." I said, "No, it's sitting outside. Hasn't it been in yet?" He went into the shop and found the paperwork and said they had not had the time to check the alignment, which was one of the three requests, but they did the oil change. I asked if they did the rotation, and he said yes, and showed me the measurements, and I asked if those were pre or post rotation. He said he needed to check. Turns out they didn't do the tire rotation after all because of the disparity in measurements. I asked when were the tires put on again, and he said 2013, which I thought sounded off. I checked when I got home, and indeed the tires were purchased through Richlonn's in December 2016, closer to what I thought. Just a different Richlonn's location. I'm really disappointed with the chaos from today. Grant and Elmer were alway great there over the years, but I don't think I'll be back to Greendale any more. read more

I made an appointment to have a tire repaired. 2 hours later, I telephoned to see if they were finished. They told me the tire wasn't repairable, and I needed a whole new set of tires. The estimate was over $800.00. I told them I would come pick up the car and not have any work done at that time. I immediately went across the street to Sears, who repaired the tire (for $9.00 less than Goodyear quoted). Reviewing the $800+ estimate ($200 per tire for a subcompact?) The quote was for 9 new tires (installed). They seriously were playing a chick. read more

I had an unsatisfactory experience today at Richlonn's Tire & Service Center at South 76th Street in Greendale. The short of the matter is that when I brought my vehicle in for a potential starting problem, no one from Richlonn's quoted me any pricing. Nothing was found to be wrong apparently, but I was told I owed $120.00 for a diagnostic test. When I asked the Store Leader Tim why no one gave me any price estimate before any service was performed as is their policy, I received no legitimate answer on that, but instead I had my question turned around on me and I was asked if I thought there would be no charges for time spent looking at my vehicle. An apology to me for no estimate pricing being given to me beforehand would have been proper, since it is their policy, but instead I was told the charge would be removed, and I should find another place for any future auto service work. And when I came in to pick up my vehicle Tim walked passed me without eye contact or a word to me. read more
