I have been purchasing tires from Rich's Tire Barn for over 18 years. I purchased 2 sets of Michelin Defender Tires for a 2003 Subaru Outback I owned until 2018. The price quoted was the lowest I found after checking with other tire stores. Service was outstanding with the tires being mounted and balanced quickly. I recently purchased Toyo all-weather tires from Rick for my 2018 Toyota Rav4. After a discussion, I decided to purchase these Toyo tires rather than the Michelin I was leaning toward. I had earlier purchased Toyo tires for my 1994 Cadillac Sedan Deville which I still maintain because my daughter loves driving the car. The price for the four Toyo tires was over $300 cheaper than two other tire store quotes. When it comes to tires, prices can vary a great deal among different stores. Went to Rich's Tire Barn for TPMS replacement, brake fluid drain and replacement and an alignment. My car was having issues with the suspension, especially on turns and bumps and I asked them if they could take a look at it and do the alignment if necessary. TPMS replacement and brake fluid service went well, from what I can't tell. But if you care about your wheels, do NOT come here for an alignment. I took photos of my wheels literally 20 minutes before I dropped my car off, just in case (just how I am), when I picked my car up about 6 hours later, both of my front wheels had damage on them. It isn't anything major, but they were not like that when I dropped off my vehicle. I mentioned it to Mike before I even left the lot, he came out and looked at the wheels and I showed him the photos that I took before dropping off my car. He said that he needed to talk to the technician and ask him if he saw any damage, and I asked what differently that makes since I had photos. He said to me "I am just a sales rep, this is between you and the technician". So, he said he would call me the next day with an update. Next day he doesn't call, so I called and asked for a manager and on the phone he says this is Mike "I am the owner". Funny, when I was face to face with him, he was just a sales rep and on the phone he's the owner. I called again a week later for an update, he said although the tech said they didn't see or damage my wheels they would contact Rim pros in Sacramento to do repairs. It's been 4 weeks now and nothing, not a phone call, an update or anything. Like I said the damage is minor, but it's the principal that my wheels were not damaged before taking my car to them. Moving on to the alignment, I mentioned to Mike the issues my vehicle was having, he said they would take a look at it and do the alignment if necessary. After the "alignment" was done my car was worse. It was so bad that it would wobble while just driving straight. I didn't want to take it back to them to fix it due to the wheel damage they had already caused. I took it to another shop, and literally within 5 minutes of looking at my car, they found and showed me a loose bolt on the left rear toe link of my suspension. They tightend it, did another alignment and now my car drives perfect. If Rich's Tire Barn tech was decent at his job, he would have seen it as well. I do not recommend Rich's Tire Barn if you care about your wheels that you spend good money on. They don't care about the customer, they just get you in and out. So my car was riding really rough and I decided to take it to a mechanic. My husbands son road in it and said you may want to get the tires looked first . So I call the Tire Barn , Mike answered and I told him about the bumpiness . He asked a few questions and told me to bring it in . I brought it in and he said it need tires and possible brakes . About 4 or 5 months ago, my husband had a couple of tires on his Toyota Tundra patched and it's held up very nicely. The customer service is awesome, so of course he called them to make an appointment to have a look at one of my tires. I had a couple of screws in my tire and did not want to buy another tire if I didn't need to--I just bought one last year at Tesla. I drive a Model Y so of course it wasn't easy on the wallet to replace this specific type of tire. I was able to bring my car in and they took it back right away and was able to patch it. Went in for flat tire repair and they got to work right away. They are very responsive to customers. This is my second visit and they haven't changed their excellent treatment of me as a customer. It doesn't get better than this place for tires man. I have been using America's Tire for the last five years but I just felt lately that the prices are getting too ridiculous and started to look around for a local place in Roseville. Fellow Yelpers recommended RTB so I gave them a shot. I came in on Monday and they did not have the tires in stock (odd size) so they ordered them for me. Said they'd be in the next day. I knew I was going to be busy the rest of the week so I made an appointment for Friday. However the next day my schedule opened up in the afternoon and I called them at 12 o'clock to see if the tires were in. They told me that not only they were in but I could come by in 30 minutes to get them changed! By 1 PM which is just one hour later all four tires were changed and I was already in my car and back on the road. And four new tires installed for less than $400 is a steal for my vehicle. It was really nice chatting with the owner's son while I waited who shared with me that they are a family business and have been in business for 40 years. It is obvious that they have the art of tire selling and changing down to a science. I highly recommend them. read more

I was hesitant to knock a star off for demeanor. Most of the people there are quite nice, but there's one employee (who's name I don't know) that always sounds irritated when he answers the phone. I'm sorry mister retail sales guy, I didn't mean to waste your time with my purchase inquiry. Here is my review: I went in for a balance, because they (at the time I bought my tires) offered lifetime balance. They charged me and said it was, and I quote "because we can't use aluminum weights anymore, we have to use steel." In actuality, they can't use *lead* weights anymore. Lead weighs more than steel. If they had used aluminum weights before, they would have been very expensive and quite large in comparison to steel or lead. A tire guy should know aluminum from lead. I forgave it easily, because they balanced the car quickly and I was on my way. +1 star for that. So, I recently went back for tires on my other car. They ordered and installed the wrong tires (model, not size.) Wasn't the end of the world, the wrong ones were cheaper anyway, I can live with it, but, - 1 star. Usually I inspect my car before I leave, but I didn't bother considering that they are obviously familiar with some pretty nice large wheels, so I figured my 18" wheels wouldn't be a problem. As soon as I got home to put my favorite tire dressing on the new tires I noticed a nasty 3" gouge they put on the face of my wheel. My wheels are 5 years old and not in mint condition so I didn't feel like playing the "Durr, it was always like when it got here." game. Lesson learned, - I won't be back. Even for my "free flat repair" if I ever need it. read more

I've been getting my tires here for at least 15 years. I stumbled across them when I was in my early 20's and could barely afford 2 tires. They put on 4 for the same price as 2 and the tires looked and lasted as long as brand new ones would have. Now I can afford new tires but I still go here because they always beat the competitions price and they're always quick and professional.
