I brought my vehicle in for transmission repair, and it took six weeks to get it back. After three weeks with no update, I had to call them myself--only to be told they're "working on it." But every time I passed by on my way home from work, my car was parked in the exact same spot, untouched. A full month went by before they finally called and told me it was ready. I picked it up, drove off--and immediately realized the transmission was stuck in second gear. I had to turn around and bring it right back. They apologized and promised to fix it right away, yet it took another two weeks before they returned my vehicle. Go literally anywhere else for automatic transmission work. I took my transmission to this shop after removing it myself to have it resealed and a new front pump installed, after reinstalling it had the same issue not even 20 minutes later. Assuming it had been an error while I was installing it I took the whole car in to have it fixed again, got it back after a few days no longer running and was told it had been test driven the day before. Now after a few months with the car in the shop most of that time after driving it back from the shop it is now AGAIN leaking from the same spot this shop has supposedly fixed twice. I will be finding another transmission shop for any future work this place has given me nothing but issues. EDIT: after doing further digging on my own to figure out the problem I found that this shop had overfilled my transmission by almost 3qts. After losing some swapping my transmission cooler and pulling an additional quart of fluid out it no longer leaks and drives as it should. read more

Worst company you could ever come into contact with! Their service is a joke, brought my vehicle in for a transmission rebuild, It broke down 5 times in less than a year, all transmission issues. Each time I'm having to pay tow trucks, each time calling into the office they are rude, as if it's my fault for their faulty work. Each time, oh we found the problem, I'll have it ready by the end of the day. Oh sorry we're busy couldn't get it done. My last break down, check engine light on, all transmission codes pulling up, broke down on the side of the road, sorry we can't get to it for a few days but have it towed in ( of course at my expense) , a week later still haven't even touched it. The I'm told there's no check light on, can't duplicate the problem, what? Later found his worker reset the check engine light! They said oh we found the problem and all fixed, a few days later the transmission is slipping again. Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as you can! read more

Over promised and under-delivered. I paid $5000 for an Allison Transmission rebuild and have had nothing but issues since they touched my truck the 3rd, 4th, and 5th time since initial service. Here I am over 1 year later, with issues - even under warranty; my truck will never be seen in their shop again. Extremely disappointed and frustrating. My daughter took her car in to be serviced and it seems there was a misunderstanding. I called Crystal to discuss the matter and asked her to walk me through what had happened. I wanted to understand and was polite knowing that my daughter is not an automotive expert. Crystal became defensive and dismissive within 20 seconds. I asked to speak to the owner. I was advised that she was not in. Then Crystal stated that she did not have to speak to me and hung up. I would like to discuss the matter further but I am unable to reach the shop. Talk to the owners wife yesterday about installing my transmission. She said she was relaying the information to the owner and came down with a price of $350; $550 if I didn't have all the bolts. (this is just installing the transmission, not taking one out just putting one in. I already have another transmission I was going to install I just don't have the time now with work and school. So after the call I grab all the nuts and bolts. I organized them when I took them out so they stayed organized, head count of bolts matched to the amount I took out and bam we good to go.) Called again today to finalize the appointment and the owner with a rude and loud tone change the price to $750-800 and $1000+ if I didn't have all the bolts, kept trying to talk over me when I was trying to talk, and just being unnecessary. I can not speak about his work but as of communication/customer service It's a no go for me! read more

Gene and his wife display some of the most small town and kindness I've ever received. I was traveling from the Bay Area and my check engine light went on and the gear shifting started acting up. I needed a quick look at my car to make sure it was driveable and they accommodated me that same day and assured me about the car. Whatever you do not bring your vehicle to this shop. Repeat DO NOT take you vehicle to this shop. They have no idea what their doing on transmissions. Their customer service is nonexistent. They will lie to you over and over again. Saying "your vehicle will be looked at by the end of the day." A week later your vehicle still hasn't been looked at. Then another week goes by they still haven't looked at your vehicle. They do this over and over again. My vehicle has been in and out of this shop for the 8 months, they "fix" it then my transmission completely fails. They "fix" it, it completely fails...over and over again! I was referred to them after finding out I had transmission issues from my normal shop, My Auto Surgeon. They facilitated the transport of my car and Rocklin transmission did a great job. The lady at the front desk, the owner, and the tech were very helpful and down to earth. There was a slight issue when I picked it up the first time but they made it right, treated me with respect, and showed genuine concern. I'm a firm believer that if you give respect, you get respect and the owner went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Took my 64 Falcon to Rocklin Transmission with a badly leaking C4 auto transmission. It was not working properly and Gene and I went for a test drive. After removing the transmission he found several things burned and bad seals. They took care of it and a few other things. Gene and Crystal were very friendly and the other mechanics also. Wow!!! So I'm in Los Angeles and my son's Jeep clutch goes out in Rocklin. I call Rocklin Transmission and they hop in their truck find my son's Jeep. Tow it to the shop for free. Replace the clutch, pressure plate, slave, new fluid, bleed the lines, replaced all the linkage bushings and adjust everything within ONE DAY. The owners stayed after hours because I could not get there before closing. This is what customer service is all about. I would recommend this shop to everyone I know. read more

We finally got ours car back after 12 days of oops and excuses! We were extremely patient throughout this process of 'he said she said' on a part being ordered. Not one time did anyone call us to give an update. We always had to call and ask and it was usually bad news and "we are sorry"! After 8 long days they told me I could come get a rental car... 8 days of borrowing from family and friends! Well it was a Friday and the weekend, so we passed. $1200.00 later and 0 ownership of our dissatisfaction, I am writing my first bad Yelp review ever!
