The repairs were perfect. The big surprise was the credit card, long lost, left on the seat with a note "found by the Detail Team" Quite Awesome. Also discovered by the Detail Team was my girlfriend's litle purse of Bar Chips (multiple) under the seat. Missing for 18 months. Needless to say, the Detail Team will be receiving bar chips to our favorite bars. Many thanks, Detail Team.

Since Syracuse was the next major community, we Googled "Honda Service." The first business to appear was "Honda City." We contacted them in hopes of getting in early on a Tuesday morning: no luck. Fortunately, they recommended Lamacchia Honda. We called them just past 0800 Tuesday. "Is there any chance we could get in mid-morning?" "Absolutely!!" We arrived shortly after 1000, and were whisked right past the queue of waiting vehicles. [Background: the A/C had been serviced in May in EAU for low Freon. When they recharged the system, they added a dye which would be a tell-tale in the event the system was still leaking.] The first report we got was there was no leak: now they were going to do a system diagnostic. (Lordie, my wallet had a $$$ contraction!!) After a brief interlude, the service manager came to us and said, "All done; you're good to go." It turns out that the A/C's compressor's clutch relay had failed. [Why does this sound like replacing a remote relay on the International Space Station?!?] Bottom line: We were in the dealership under two hours and the bill was actually reasonable! We were treated like VIPs and traveled in air-conditioned comfort on the rest of our trip! Very Highly Recommended!!

They said the dashboard lights were blinking, and they had to find the issue before they could do the inspection. There were no dashboard lights blinking when the car was brought in. Had the car towed to the VOLVO dealership in Syracuse that Sunday. I had to take a bus home. Followed up with the dealer that Monday, repair estimate over $4000.00. Did some online research and found Gabe Auto. Had the car towed to them, I couldn't have been more pleased with the choice. I felt at ease after my conversation with Gabe. For further reassurance I had my Volvo mechanic (I've known him for over 25 years) speak with Gabe after speaking with him he confidently assured me that Gabe knows his stuff. Cost $2600. One week later I went to pick up my car, met Gabe for the first time. What an upstanding and gracious person. . A few months later I was heading back to Rochester and stopped by to have my wife meet Gabe, we spent 45 minutes chatting with him. Highly recommended.
