We also bought an older (but nice looking) RAV4 for our daughter as her first car probably 10 years ago from their lot, and she's still driving it with almost 300,000 miles on it. She gets it regularly maintained at this shop and it still looks good! I like going in there, they treat you almost as if you are their friend and it's a real personal touch like in the old days, Andy remembers my name --nobody does that anymore because most people don't seem to care, but they do and it feels good, if I'm being honest. I am surprised to see some people saying it is too expensive and I will probably concede that it is not the bargain basement of car places but neither is the professional level of expertise and what you get for the money. In talking to a coworker of mine in Hampton NH and one of my neighbors about some car issues, they go to the dealerships where they bought their cars and they paid a lot and both had problems with the work, my neighbor always gets a little bit of a rough reception at his car dealership in Peabody and they give him an argument about everything, but that has never been our experience here, not even a hint of any ill treatment, 100% the polar opposite. As I said, we have never felt we overpaid here and have always been satisfied with the repairs. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you trust, and Andy and his wife, who works there also but I believe only a few days a week, are real sweet people and they really love and respect their customers in my opinion. They then proceeded to do a seriously labor-intensive repair promptly, with great communication, no charge to me, and there is no trace in the truck that they were ever there. Much thanks to Jeff Post, the mechanic who did the work, and the superb management of Grappone Honda's service department.

For Christmas I got my wife an automatic car starter. Instead of taking the Acura to a Best Buy and have some "high school kid" screw up the job. I decided to pay a premium price and have the dealership do it. I could have saved myself $500 and the trip time if I had let BB fix do the job. Two trips and basically the auto starter works about the only time when you are actually sitting in the vehicle. The sales people said it should start at least from 50 feet. Yeah right! Not only that if it does work it shuts off after about 10 mins. So it is zero outside and 10 mins doesn't even defrost your windshield. That means if you are lucky enough to get it to work again you have to remember or in 5 mins you are back to a frozen ice cube! Also it is difficult to know if the car is actually running or not. The daytime running lights do not activate. Second reason why I love Sunnyside so!. The car air conditioner was not working properly. I took the car to the local Auto repair shop and they indicated after draining the coolant that they could not recharge the system with refrigerant. It apparently needed to be done by a certified Acura dealer. So down to Sunnyside we go. They gave us a loaner and told us not to drive it much. They could not fix the problem and had no idea what to do. So day after day this went on. Finally after getting annoyed with them on a couple of occasions I told them I wanted the car back and we would make other arrangements. This was approximately 10 days after we brought it in. I would be down later that afternoon to return the loaner and pick up our unrepaired car. Not more than 20 mins later the dealership called my wife and said the car was fixed! $800 later we drove off. I cannot recommend this dealership.

When I purchased the vehicle, the 4WD warning light was on. I was specifically told the issue had been fixed and the light was off. When I arrived to pick up the car, the light was still on. I was then told to drop the car off Monday morning for a first-thing appointment. After rearranging my schedule, I was informed that they now "might be able" to look at it Tuesday or Wednesday instead. No one takes responsibility, and communication is terrible. The parts girl, Carlie, cut me a great deal on the jacket, as they were (at the time) discontinuing the RevIt line. Happily, they're stocking Rev'It again now. Four years later, I paid full price for an Arai helmet. I thought it was fair, given the expert help in fitting, and their previous willingness to bargain. Overall, Second Wind seems like a well-run business. The employees I've worked with are real motorcycling enthusiasts, competent, and friendly. The gear they carry, Shoei, Arai, Rev'It, and BMW is generally considered top notch stuff, and does its job well. They may not have the cheapest gear, but riding gear isn't necessarily the place to pinch pennies.
