While driving through NH (out of state driver) our Honda Civic broke down. Had it towed to Grappone Honda on a Saturday afternoon as it was the closest Honda dealership. Was told on Monday that they couldn't say when they'd be able to look at it, despite the fact that it was an emergency service. It was treated like an ordinary maintenance appointment and could be weeks or longer before they could even look at it but to keep checking back. Finally arranged to have it towed out to a local garage who had it fixed in a day. Really? There's no room in your services schedule for an emergency? I'm giving one star because the receptionist was at least pleasant, but the support provided by Grappone to a longtime Honda owner was worthless. read more

Warning: DO NOT GO TO THIS HONDA. I had work done somewhere else where the incorrect spark plugs were used (Suzuki manufactured instead of Honda). My car started going into LIMP mode, so I got the code diagnosed and took it to Honda to help me figure out the issue. I paid a $175 diagnostic fee and then $2,000 of work was put into the car. The spark plugs and coil were never checked, and Becky the service manager and Andrew the assistant service manager told me that they did not miss anything. Not even 2 months go by and the same issue happens. I break down on the side of the highway, and for those of you that know my story, know how traumatic that was for me. I had it towed to Upper Valley Honda and they did another diagnosis for another $170 and the second the mechanic looks under my hood, he tells me that those are the wrong spark plugs, which caused damage to the new coil. I had to spend another $1000 to get this fixed. I contacted Grappone to tell them that they missed the fact that my car had the wrong spark plugs, and I reasonably asked that they reimburse me for the diagnostic fee of $170. I felt that they were assuming I did not understand what I was talking about because I was a woman, and they showed no concern for this mistake. They told me the car isn't having issues from something they worked on. I am not asking for them to pay for all the work, I just feel that because I paid them my hard earned money to fully look over my car, and they missed the most basic issue that causes an engine misfire. Even the service manager at Upper Valley was shocked that they did not reimburse me for the $170 diagnostic. This may sound like a small amount of money to a big dealership like Honda, but that sure is a lot of money for a person who is already paying over $450 a month for the car payment so it can sit at the Honda dealership broken down. I am very disappointed in the way that I was treated at this Honda, and I will not be doing ANY more work at Grappone read more

Update: we did end up purchasing a car here. However we won't be back to any Grappone dealerships. We noticed with the no commission the sellers really don't care to much. They don't work as hard to get loans they don't care to get your business back again. Honestly if getting paid the same why give yourself more work and sell cars. There was no drive to sell anything. If you need to pick up a car on their day off you can't. Yet another place you can since that's how they make the money. It feels like a tball game. Everyone gets a trophy just showing up why try your hardest. Seeing the difference between commission and not salesman we prefer commission based as they are so much nicer and offer so many other things. This company just isn't into selling cars. read more

Not only did they provide me with fake laws to pass inspection so I would remove my Black Lives Matter bumper sticker they also consistently gave me things I had to fix everytime I came even though it was not flagged a week before. I had a great experience with Grapponne in 2015 that prompted our return (and my referral over the years). At that time, I didn't purchase a Honda, but did sell them my old car for $2,000 more than I was offered for trade-in at Subaru. This time, our experience only got better. My husband was looking for a family van that also met his mobility space needs as a wheelchair user. We started the process by utilizing their online trade-in tool that made it really easy to upload details and take photos. Within MINUTES of submission, a rep called to talk to us about our needs and set us up for an appointment the following day. When we arrived, Erik was entirely professional, down to earth, laid back and seriously accommodating. He walked us through the no hassle policy, how they don't work on commission, the extended warranty that is automatically included and consulted us thoroughly to make sure he understood our needs. The work we did on the trade-in before also saved some time. We realized early on that while we liked some features and the drive of the Honda, it was just not going to work for us and explained that we would go down to their Toyota dealership to look at the Sienna. Erik said, "Oh! No problem, I will go and get that so you don't have to start all over and if you like it, you can complete the sale with me". As we waited for Erik to get the car, the general manager offered us hamburgers and hot dogs. I know it seems like such a small thing, but my kid was on the verge of hangry (as were we) and it made it so much more comfortable to spend the time needed to evaluate the vehicles. We loved the Sienna for us by comparison and it was a definite possibility. We told Erik we wanted to look at the Chrysler and Kia as well before making a decision and he said, "Well let me see if we have either of those in our used lot". They didn't, but it was one of those "above and beyond" things about minimizing the stress on us that we really valued. We left with Erik asking us how we wanted to be contacted going forward and said we would update him either way. Over the following week, he stayed in touch, was available for questions, and really congratulated us when we ultimately went with the Chrysler simply for the Stow and Go Feature that was best for my husband's needs. Without that, we likely would've purchased the Sienna. Grapponne sets the bar well for the customer experience that I hope other dealerships can learn from and the consistency is always there. In a few years, I will likely upgrade from my Subaru to the CR-V and I will start with Grapponne and will continue to refer people. read more

2019 tires were placed on a brand new 2020 car. Told I needed new tires at 14790 miles. Another tire place said the dealership put lease tires on a new car. Graponae denied it. By 17000 miles tires bald and several places saying I needed new tires with one have leak. Please check tires prior to purchase new car. I just don't want this happening to someone else. read more

Their team and service is always friendly, but be mindful of the service packages and recommendations they provide, especially any that results from recommendations from their "comprehensive multi-point inspection" when they complete your service. I've been bringing my vehicle to them every 6 months for oil changes, and other routine engine service, but after today's service it became clear that their team doesn't actually check the condition or individual measurements for the items they say they do on their report. When I picked up my car from an oil change today, they handed me the report saying everything looks good, and that my tires were in fine shape with 8/32nd's of tread depth across all 4 tires. The concern with this is that one tire is brand new from another retailer, and the other 3 were all measured as having 5/32nd's of tread depth from this same service center just 6 months ago. How my tires miraculously violated the laws of physics, and gained additional depth is something that I really wish their mechanics would have explained to me. Clearly their mechanics are just filling out this form without actually checking condition or measurements from the individual items, as such I'd be very mindful before agreeing to service as a result of a recommendation from the inspection report. Before today's visit I've felt I could always trust this team and the quality of their work, but I'll definitely be seeking second opinions in the future for any service they recommend. read more

My wife and I recently purchased an Accord Hybrid at Grappone from Shirley Avellino-Enriquez. Shirley was an excellent, helpful salesperson, never rushed us and let us take several test drives in the vehicles we wanted to compare. She even brought over a Camry from their sister dealership to test drive to compare the difference. Even better was once the decision was made, there was no haggling on the prices - for the car I was buying or the car I was selling. Best of all there was no meeting with a "sales manager" or "finance person" at the end, so there wasn't a whole new person trying to sell me on something I didn't want. It made the whole experience quite stress free. This was not the same Grappone from years ago. I love my car, and highly suggest the dealership and Shirley to anyone looking for a vehicle. read more

The experience of the Honda mechanic was less impressive. I spent $900 on a timing belt/water pump change for my 2010 Honda Accord Coupe- EXL V6 with 109,000 miles. It also had a recall for the passenger air bag inflator which was changed at the same time. My car is religiously kept up on maintenance and aesthetics. I received it back with dirty finger prints all over my dash where the tech worked on the air bag. Unacceptable. I didn't give it to Grappone like this. The most dissapointing part was that my glove box was very loose and did not line up how it was originally flush with my dash. Before leaving I showed the service clerk. I had to bring it back to have the mechanic tighten the glove box but only noticed it didn't wiggle as bad. Still doesn't line up. Also not happy with the sound the valves are making after the timing belt was replaced. My car before was VERY quiet while running. Now you can hear the valves LOUD and clear. Upon replacing the belt not sure if the tech did any adjusting to my valves as a tech should do when doing this maintenance. It may be a 2010 but most think it's a newer vehicle. I'm very meticulous about my investment. I used Grappone service in the past for alignment maintenance because my mechanic who is an independent Honda Certified Technician of 25 years and has worked for major dealerships in the past could not perform the alignment at the time. I would have had my mechanic replace the timing belt but I had to have the air bag recall done at a dealership so I opted for the dealer to do the belt at the same time. Now I wish I would have just had my mechanic do my timing belt. I will have to have it reevaluated as I'm not happy with the sound of the valves after it was returned to me. But I will NOT be bringing it back to Grappone for any maintenance. I feel that my car is just another $$$ to them and the techs don't really care about quality of maintenance or service. I've owned Honda's for the past 20 years. I lived in the South, had them serviced there by a dealer and always had a great experience. Moving up North, thankfully I found a mechanic who is knowledgeable and meticulous. My independent Certified Honda mechanic understands that his customers invest their time and money into their Honda vehicle. He shows professionalism and quality. My mechanic would have NEVER returned my car with dirty finger prints on the dash. I would like to say that Grappone's service attendants upon checking in/out are very courteous and accommodating. This was the first dealer I visited when looking for a Honda Accord ex-l v6. I also looked at other similar vehicles for comparison. The sales staff was helpful but like other Honda dealers, not super knowledgeable on the specifications or the details of the car. The manager recently came from Toyota and did not seem knowledgeable on either car manufacturers line but was super nice and well spoken. This blew my mind as Honda is an engineering company that designs and develops some of the best products in the world (not only cars). They tried though and this was much appreciated. At this point I realized I needed to do all my own research to pick the car that best suited my needs. When I finally decided to buy the Honda Accord ex-l v6, I received 8 quotes from Honda dealers, 2 were from dealers through AAA. The AAA quotes were the lowest 2 quotes from a pricing stand point, more than $3000 separated the lowest price from the highest price. The Grappone price was higher than the AAA pricing by at least $3000! Even though Grappone was closest to my home address, they never submitted a price quote through AAA. I considered paying the $3000 price premium to buy my car at Grappone but it just did not make sense to do so. I also informed Grappone of this pricing difference to provide them with an option to honor the pricing from AAA and they said that they can not sell the car for less than the haggle free price. The sales person I dealt with at Grappone even told me that he would not pay $3000 more for the same exact car. If you are considering Grappone mainly because of the Free 100,000 mile Powertrain Protection Plan or the Free New Hampshire state inspections for the life of the vehicle you should ask for the fine details of these benefits and what is required to qualify for these. These benefits are made to keep the customer loyal to Grappone exclusively and may actually cost you significantly more in the duration of your car ownership. It will be difficult if you are interested in price shopping for service or you no longer live close enough to take advantage. These benefits are nothing more than gimmicks that make you forget that you are paying $3000 more for a car! I am considering vehicle maintenance at Grappone if they are competitive, at least while the accord is under the new vehicle warranty. The free oil change every 6th seems like a reasonable deal if the oil change price is not inflated to make up for the free oil change. In conclussion, if you do not like to haggle on the price and do not mind paying significantly more for a car, I would consider Grappone as a viable option, other wise I would just test drive the vehicle at Grappone if this is most convenient and buy else where. read more

I stopped into Grappone to see what they had for used trucks about 2 years ago. In order for them to give me a price they said they had to put me "into their system." That included taking my cell phone number. This was to simply get a single price on a used truck. About 12 months ago I started getting automated telephone calls that my Ford truck was due for service, then that my Honda was due for service (which I don't own any longer). There is apparently no way to get off this call list. The call is from an automated attendant - you can't tell them anything! I now get calls at least two times a month, however it feels like more. They come while I am in meetings, giving presentations, or otherwise engaged in making a living. You can imagine how annoying this is. In any case I work with many folks in the area and I don't miss a chance to tell them about this entirely annoying habit. I recently was in the market for a new vehicle. I live close to Grappone (closest dealer to me) however I would NEVER go there and I actively counsel others to avoid them as well. I now use this as a form of case study in horrible marketing. The fact that this interruption marketing is not only ineffective but wholly counter productive always gets a laugh. It makes for a great example, and it's "sticky" - people remember it. All hallmarks of a good lesson. So, I'd love to be taken off this list but since Grappone does not make this easy I'll continue to be annoyed - but on the bright side I have a compelling story to tell about how not to market. Crazy how companies can so totally shoot them selves in the foot. Update: I read the note (below) and I responded directly to Grappone. They promised to take me off their list and were candid in their approach which I appreciated. Second update: Since the owner corresponded with me the phone calls have stopped. I've been shopping for a 2010 Honda Insight all over New England. Having not grown up in New England and going to a trusted family company I was left to the reviews of online folks. After a ton of failed attempts at finding a dealer that was (1) actually interested in selling beyond their quota numbers (2) knowledgeable about their products (3) an instant "used car salesman slick" place in appearance I was thrilled to walk into Grappone Honda. Luckily enough the salesman, Jim, was the first desk inside the door and immediately greeted me. This guy is a testament to NH: Beard, laid back, honest and all about skiing. I instantly trusted his opinion and his word. He qualified me for the vehicle rather than just selling me the vehicle. When test driving he was the first salesman I had met in NH/MA/ME who didn't look at a sheet of paper and read me facts about the car. This guy KNEW things about this car and was anxious to tell me cool things I didn't know about it. He set me up for a 24 hour test drive appointment and when I called to let him know I would be over an hour late for the test drive (and an hour past his scheduled day) he stayed the extra hour to meet me. Forget their Mission Statement, I never read it, I didn't need to. Jim lives and breathes success and commitment to his customers and I will be a customer of his for as long as I live in New Hampshire. read more

I've purchased at least 4 cars at Grappone Honda, and have gone there for service for years. But the latest visit was horrible: I've been having problems with the Bluetooth in my 2014 Accord since an update to the IOS in my iphone, and had asked the service dept about it on previous visits. Service sent me to sales; sales said it was a service matter. A sales person had tried to "help me" set up my phone "correctly" once before to no avail. I ended up with someone in the sales dept, and I asked him if there is an update that could be added to the car that would allow it to operate the Bluetooth correctly. He said something to the effect of, "No, you silly woman, there's no such thing." (Not really a quote, but pretty close.) He then spent an HOUR with me, in my car, trying to teach me how to set up the Bluetooth to work. Of course after he restored the settings several times, and then kept going through the same settings I had already tried five times myself, he asked someone else. The answer was that since an IOS upgrade, the Bluetooth doesn't work correctly but there is no update available for the car yet. AN HOUR of my time I won't get back. To tell me I was right all along. I wish they would clue in their employees. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and a state inspection. Ended up with a broken key and an offer to make a futue appointment to pay out of my pocket and have fixed. Upon showing up they confirmed the above items having performed and took my car while I waited. When I was paying to leave, I was told they didn't feel I needed a tire rotation because my best tires were already on the front. Then then told me all 4 tires measured very good and the same. Probably because I purchased them about 7000 miles ago and wanted to have them rotated to keep them that way. But okay they decided not to do it. Oil change and state inspection and I paid and was handed my keys back. I didn't notice when I got in my car the key was damaged, stopped for gas on the way home and when trying to restart car I noticed the key was broken and I had a hard time turning without the plastic portion with the buttons coming apart. I immediately called them back which they denied (of course they did) and then gave me an estimated on how much to replace it would be. What a deal. Small claims would cost way more than this is worth. Do yourself a favor, find a better place to service your car. read more

I am furious. I normally take my car to a trusted local mechanic for service, but I had to take my Honda Civic to the dealership to have a recall addressed. I made the mistake of having my inspection done at the same time, since it just happened to be due this month. First, Grappone said that they would have to fail me on my inspection unless they replaced the windshield wipers. They had been replaced 6 months prior and the recommended life is 6-12 months, so it's possible that they weren't 100%, but I have a hard time believing they were bad enough to cause me to fail inspection. I was driving in the rain a week ago and they seemed fine...but whatever they were $15. But then, they told me that there were two other things that needed IMMEDIATE attention: a power steering fluid leak and leaking front struts, which had to be replaced. They quoted me almost $1,000 to do this work (which also included an alignment). I took my car to my local mechanic and asked him to make the repairs. He inspected my car and said there was absolutely no sign of any leaking and no signs that any of the parts that Grappone recommended needed to be replaced. I sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours and not one person walked out of there without a laundry list of unanticipated "critical" repairs. If I have another recall issue, I will drive an hour to another Honda dealership and Grappone certainly won't get my business when it's time to replace my current Honda. Do not go here for service - they are complete scumbags for trying to scare me into doing $1,000 of unnecessary repairs. My advice is to get a recommendation from friends or family for a great mechanic and stick with them...avoid Grappone at all costs. read more

Attitude going in: cautious We bought a used Ford Ranger from Grappone Honda at the end of December. My wife had seen the Ranger on their website and we went to have a look. I'll say now that I was hesitant to deal with them. I had heard many stories of bad service and was hoping things would be different. The truck: I have to say that I'm very happy with the truck we purchased. It is in very good shape and had low miles for its year. A month in and so far, so good. The service: First and foremost I did not have the nightmare experience I was fearing. It was a very average experience for a car dealership, hence the three stars. Your usual cast of characters included the helpful salesperson, the sales manager who makes sure you know what a great deal you're getting and the closer trying to sell you extended warranties as they do up the paperwork. No one was rude or unhelpful. As I said, just what you expect when you buy a car. The only large gripe I had was the fact that it took 1 1/2 hours from the time we agreed to buy the truck until we were able to leave with it. That's a lot of time sitting around. Would I buy from them again? At this point, yes. Which is a big upgrade from my previous attitude. read more

I'm going to be straight forward and to the point with this review of Grappone. the only good thing about this dealership is that they had the car i was looking for. 1. The sales lady Dana was not very knowledgeable with the past of this car aside from what was written in the carfax. I noticed a small paint chip on the front bumper and asked numerous times is it a replacement ? Was it repaired and re sprayed at this dealership? She never once said no her answer was "it doesn't reflect that in the carfax". If a salesman won't say yes or no then don't buy the car. I later found out it was a replacement front bumper that was resprayed probably by the dealer. 2. The oem drivers floormat was no where to be found when I finally came to pick up the car, not a big deal if they would of found it or replaced it. It was only a $30,000 car shouldn't be a big deal to replace 1 floormat right? NOPE they said they would replace it with an oem floormat via the mail. A week later a $30 Walmart special floormat set was sent to my house in grey. The car has black interior. I use them for oil change clean up now. 3. They gave me such a hard time with the price / payment of the car. They claim they are a non negotiable dealership. "That's a sales pitch to any moron that won't talk them down on their ridiculous prices". First listed around $31,000 and with them not budging in person I get an email back a few days later saying we coincidentally dropped the price check out the car now online. We ended at $29,800. which was still a high price for the car knowing there were some flaws. I still bought it anyways because I really wanted the car. 4. Doing my first oil change I found that they (grappone) used a WIX oil filter on a 2013 Subaru STI that only had 25,000 miles on it. I could only imagine what quality of oil they used. Glad I changed the oil/filter as soon as I got the car. 5. Again with the payment issue. I originally had cash but they wouldn't accept cash. then I deposit the money into my bank and got a check written to grappone dealership etc.. I go to the dealership and they won't accept that at first. I had to argue with them that it was from my bank and they had to take it. (I truly believe they were trying to push their offer of having me finance with them by saying they couldn't take any other form of payment) I will never buy a car from this place again unless I go through a rigorous inspection of the physical car and the history of the car as well as only working with a different sales person. YOU CAN NOT TAKE THEIR WORD!! All they want to do is sell you the car and get you out of there. I'm surprised they actually sent me an email asking to review the car and dealership experience when they know this would be the result. read more

Great service and good people at Grappone Honda. Their prices are competitive and I have not had my cars serviced anywhere else since I bought my first car in 2004. With that said they do two things wrong that are irritating. Our two Hondas have automatic head lights and they turn them off so the next time we drive in the dark they do not come on (dangerous). They also set tire pressure to what the form says is factory specs. Wrong - factory specs for my car is 35 and they set to 32. We will continue to have them service our cars because they do a good job. read more

We had been searching for a used car for about a month. After several dealers told us cars were on site and when we arrived to see them and they were mysteriously missing, we happened upon Grappone in Concord. Our first contact was with Ashley and then we worked with Shirley. They were both exceptional. Grappone is low key and not the least bit pushy. They listened to our needs and treated us with the utmost respect. After a couple weeks we found the car we wanted and were absolutely thrilled with it. There was a slight problem with it's paperwork and the entire staff jumped to correct the issue, following up several times to make sure everything was taken care of for us. I've bought three cars from Grappone since 2008. The car buying experience is relaxed and actually fun. The sales people know their product. They respect their customers by listening, staying with the budget and never exhibiting any of the high pressure sales techniques of some dealerships (Autofair). I enjoy the service dept. as well. They take you on time, let you know what is being done and the cost up front, how long it's going to take and deliver as promised. Everyone is pleasant and they make you feel that they're glad to see you. Can't ask for anything better than that. read more

So after test driving a few Civics, I was Given the same old speech as when i went to Hyundai about there Up front Pricing and that They are not paid Commission. Honestly i don't give a flying fuck , I know that it is all a some feel good scam for tham to ask for more for cars and to pay there staff less as i noticed the young help who were not very knowledgeable ( you get what you pay for) . All in all i said F-It and went to Autofair and just "Negotiated !!!!!!!! And got good price. Grappone needs to realize that buying from a robot like sales person is not becoming. Hold you hostage for hours, give you an insulting trade in price (below wholesale) stay away unless you enjoy a frustrating waste of time and a hit on your credit report for nothing..(which will lower your score) with smiling people who are full of crap and could clearly care less if they sell you a car or not. Not thrilled with the sales/car buying experience. So much emphasis on the lowest, up-front pricing, yet they don't match competitor offers. The car buying process still took way, way, way too long given that there was no disputing the price. I will go to another dealer next time--the one who gave a lower price on the same year/make/model car. groppone honda is the worst place you could ever go i got my car from another dealer there was an issue shortly after with my car so the dealer i got my car from had sent it to groppone honda to have them do the work however the work was done i guess but now i wonder cause it seems that out of lets say 70 employees they got there they might have about 6 honest people there if even that i had recently had another problem with it where emissions for inspection wasnt reading which also seems to be related with the initial problem that it got sent to honda for to begin with cause it seemed car computer related which is what they had replaced so i webt there & they granted me one free hours labor wow thanks so the appointment was scheduled & so i dropped my car off the night before to make sure it was there in time so of course me being the car guy i am & loving my car so much that i know every mark on my car when picking my car up when they supposedly said it was done they had informed me that theres nothing wrong with my car so i leave & get two minutes down the road & the car dies out & stalls on me so i had my ride that i got to bring me to get it pulls up behind me when i get out to talk to her i notice there is scuff marks on my back bumper & ten inch long scratch with paint gone so now im mad i call them up to inform them about me breaking down & bumper & i get told theres nothing they can do & that they got cameras to also hear that my car has a wiring issue when they had told me there was nothing wrong with my car & that everything was fine notice the fact that i broke down that right there was a sign that they lied so i got back a few days later to view the cameras & there are certain angles that you cannot even see where this bumper issue must of happened on so they tell me how do they know it wasnt me &that pretty much im trying to pull a fast one on them when i have pictures of before & afters & that clearly u can see the marks on the bumper are fresh so now im stuck with a busted bumper that i didnt do & noone to admitt to doing it needless to say never ever do business with them complete liars dishonest will ruin your car & wont help replace what they broke i wish i could post pictures of what they did before & afters read more

Leased a vehicle from them back in 2013, very pleasant experience, so we figured we would go back, BIG mistake! Told them the only option we were looking for was Sirius/xm radio. They told us that the Honda CR-V EX had Sirius radio, we asked more than once. After spending 3 hours there, we signed all the paperwork and our sales person was going over the vehicle with us and come to find out, the ONE thing we asked for was not in the vehicle we just purchased! Was able to return it the next business day but my wife was made to feel very uncomfortable about the whole transaction. Needless to say, that will be the last time we EVER do business with Grappone Honda again!!! read more

The salespeople are always friendly, only problem is "EVERY" time I find a car I like at any of their dealerships, they get back to me, but, always sell it before I can go to see it. I don't like their policies of Negotiation free either, I like to save money, and most of their cars are a little overpriced according to CarGurus, but, so are a lot of other dealers. Also, don't like that even with a $1,000 deposit, they won't hold a car for more than 3 days, I was going out of state, and couldn't make it in three days! So, the car sold was I was away, that is why I offered a deposit, but, they would not hold it! I always end up going somewhere else to buy a car, because once, I was told that they couldn't sell a car I wanted because the title had to clear, sales girl had a day off, and they sold it out from under me, only contacting me after the sale! I was livid! I haven't had very good luck with Grappone, They operate on a first come first serve basis, even if they tell you otherwise! I have found smaller family owned dealers to be more customer oriented! Big dealers want one thing, your MONEY! read more
