They showed up on time, they provided professional services, left the place clean and orderly after the work was complete, and followed up to make sure everything was operating correctly. They offered a great warranty, a great product, and a great price, so I have no complaints. I had dealt with another local vendor for many years, and Robert G Dents service and customer service was much better in my option. I'm happy I switched for a multitude of reasons. The problem was that we had no control of the temperature in the two downstair zones. 10 months, 4 visits, and about $1800 in bills later, they finally found the problem: a clogged 10' copper fuel line. I could have replaced that line with PVC for about $10 dollars, yet Dent specifically itemized $500 for replacement of that line! When I asked in writing for a more detailed itemization of that item, the response was another invoice for the same amount + a late payment fee. Dent installed two furnaces in my house including the ducting throughout our 19th century home. We had worked with Terry Dent, son of Robert G., happily for 30 years. Terry's son, Justine, then took over the business and everything seems to have gone downhill from there.

Showed up without the part, later found a 'used' one in his van. Sat in my driveway for over 40 mins. throughout appt., also said he had to 'go back to the shop' twice, once sitting in driveway for 20 mins., next was leaving for 10 mins., then sat in driveway another 10 mins. Tore apart wall thermostat, which wasn't a problem. Husband came home from work, had tech show him the replacement unit, and husband pointed out it was wired wrong. Tech had wired it wrong! So for the 3hrs he was there, should have been maybe 1hr of work had he known what he was doing. He then re-wired it and it worked....I get billed for 3hrs! THEN woman manager argued with me over the bill when I called to say there's no way I'm paying for their tech's incompetence and I'd agree to pay for 1hr. She was SUPER rude even after I pointed out how rude she was being to me. This was not my fault and the tech coming and going, sitting in my driveway, not bringing a part, then finding it, wiring it wrong, tearing apart my wall unit for no reason...... I'm sorry, I am not paying for 3hrs of him not actually performing the job. Unreal, more upset over the woman manager being so rude and not even wanting to listen. She over-talked me, raised her voice so I couldn't talk, and even snickered when I said I knew the owner and went to school with him and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate how she treated customers! Never again. I even got charged for a new part when the tech flat-out told me it was used and he found it in his van!

During the waiting I had called a few times to make sure the service was coming. The lady was so rude when I finally called that I would leave because no one show up. So customers would be fined if not keep the schedule, but Biros gets to be angry at the customer when it cannot honor the schedule :( Bad service, avoid it if possible.

I scheduled mine and the guy told me I needed a new central AC system. Quoted me $13k. Wow. My AC compressor randomly stopped working after he left and the company said I didn't have enough r22 to power it. Sounded shady bc it was running when he was here. A month later, I decide to have a different HVAC company come take a look. They said my wires were disconnected outside and the ground wire was disconnected and it reset the breaker. The tech was obviously trying to get a commission off a new ac from me. I had to buy window units during that time just to get by in this heat. Wasted money that I don't have! The valve power head was replaced to complete 24 volt call back to unit. Test ran and verified proper operation of the unit. The technician was very knowledgeable, neat and professional.
