Breakside Brewery - Flight of all their beers that aren't IPAs.

They have decent indoor and outdoor seating. You're right against the sidewalk, so there is some great people watching while you're visiting. Their beers are vast. Now, to be fair, I don't do a lot of beer drinking. We all know I like my martinis so beers are few and far in between. We did share a flight when we stopped in last... they had some great IPA options which was great for me - I prefer an IPA. The flight was good. There wasn't a beer I didn't like. The food options are limited. Not where we'd aim to go have dinner... now a nice beer before dinner downtown, sure, it's a place to land. Service is always friendly and prices are fair.

The person running the bar was very kind. We got drinks as well as pretzel bites, the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and one of the sandwiches. I always love a Breakside beer but the pizza was not good at all. It looked very pleasing but the quality was not there. The crust was really hard, felt like it was a store bought frozen crust. I would go back to have a beer again, but I would stay away from the pizza. This location would be better enjoyed for drinks & apps.

My biggest disappointment was finding out that the two items that caught my attention on Yelp--the brisket mac and cheese and the tacos--were only available during happy hour. I even offered to pay the regular menu price for either item, but was told I'd have to come back during happy hour if I wanted to order them. Instead, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The pulled pork sandwich was decent, but the flavor felt a little flat and could have used more seasoning. I was also surprised there wasn't any salt and pepper on the table, so if that's something you like, be sure to ask for it. Overall, the food was good and the service was good. While I enjoyed the experience, it's probably not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again, though I'd stop in if I was already in the area.

He enjoys playing dj with his curated music, which also had merit, but again was too loud for a weekday lunch. I'm not an old fart, (I think he and I were close to the same age) but old enough to have lost some hearing in my youth, and it was still a bit loud. The pork rinds were good, surprisingly generous and tasted very fresh. I liked the Tajin on them, but would have preferred it to be an option (shaker on the table) rather than just full coverage. I would have shared them, but the person I was dining with doesn't care do the spice. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with the sauce on the side and it was a generous portion, that was well-cooked. Just the way I ordered it! That being said, the beef was relatively tasteless and the whole sandwich was extremely greasy. The bacon on the sandwich was plentiful and not as greasy as the burger and cheese. I don't know the fries would be seasoned. It may or may not have been on the menu, I honestly can't recall. The place seemed well kept and customer oriented, food service wise, but the ambiance could be dialed down for the lunch crowd. If there was an alternate burger available nearby, I might not give Brothers a second chance. But I can't hate on it. Just a few too many flaws for the price, which was not cheap. Paying over $5 for a Mexican Coke was pretty steep since I didn't see any fountain options. But lastly, too be fair, the bartender was VERY kind!

I went to yelp and was looking for somewhere to go and Brothers Cascadia stood out with all their options. A good balance of a neighborhood pub but also a place I could bring my kiddo and enjoy a basket of fries. Everyone on the staff was so friendly too. I look forward to coming back.

I love that you can get traditional pizza toppings or creative combinations. The flavor of the pizza is amazing and I have heard that the gluten free crust is considered better than the regular by some people. This location gets busy, so if you can swing an early dinner or a meal at a slightly off time, your wait to sit will be shorter. We came in a bit before 5 when the patio seating was open and got to sit right away. When they are busy, you might wait a bit for food, but the servers are friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered the "something marvelous" (bbq chicken) and a pepperoni pizza (because kids) for our pizza. We also got the beets and burrata salad to start. This was more than enough food and we always take leftovers home. The weather was nice on the patio and you can see the waterfront and river from your seats. We've been here before. We will be back. I hope the Cuban style pizza makes it back on the menu...pizza with pulled pork and pickles? Yes!

I'm a big fan of Detroit-style pizza and I think Ruse's version is far superior to the nearby Ranch Pizza. However my fave offering is their sandwiches. The bread they make is excellent!! I would love to see them offer a few more vegetarian sandwich options; the Yola Caprese is quite tasty (their pesto is bomb) and the vegan hamburger sando is good, but they do such innovative work with fresh veggie pizza combos; I wish they would apply that same creativity to expanding their vegetarian sandwich varieties. One thing: The pick up timing is often off when you order online. Whenever I arrive at pick up, I find the food has been ready for a while. That's okay for a sandwich, but a bummer when it's a pizza and your food has gotten cold. Recommend always arriving a bit early for your pick up to account for this.

Unfortunately, the Vancouver location has been a completely different experience. The first time we came with a larger group, we waited about 30 minutes just to be acknowledged. Staff kept walking around without even recognizing that we (and others behind us) were waiting. We decided to give it another try, but the second visit was just as disappointing. We ended up leaving because we didn't want to keep waiting with no communication. The third time, I finally spoke up because no one was acknowledging us again. Eventually someone came and seated us, but things didn't improve. We waited a long time at the table, and when the server finally came, many of the items we saw online were no longer available. Instead, there were completely different options. Also, while we were waiting, we spoke with a group of girls behind us who said they had experienced the same issue multiple times and had even left before because of it. So it's clearly not just us. Overall, this has been the worst experience we've had at any of their locations. It's really disappointing because we know how great this place can be. Hopefully, with more people sharing feedback, something will change. The Vancouver location seriously needs to improve its service--I don't see how this level of customer care is acceptable.
