What a cool spot. This reminds me of Love's which we usually find pretty far away from the city and suburbs, which an above average selection of food, beer, coffee, and drink options available inside for purchase. The fuel pumps are also very impressive looking with huge screens and a lot of stations available, and a cool looking car wash I didn't have the opportunity to try. The shopping experience is definitely fun here with a very spacious layout and attractive looking displays. The washroom facilities were also much better than normal for a gas station both in terms of size and cleanliness. Ricky Rockets Fuel Center is a really fun place to fuel up. There are lots of gas pumps so you don't have to worry about not being able to find a free pump. The theme is fun. There is a rocketship on top of the store. If you visit at night you will notice a bright light display. Going through the car wash at night must be an out of this world experience. The store has a ton of things to shop for. There is a large beverage section featuring slushies, coffee, soft drinks, and more. There is branded merchandise as well as aisles of snacks and frozen food. Ricky Rockets Fuel Center truly has everything that a traveler could need. I have had it with this place, its NEW but the pumps never work, for the last few months only the pumps in the middle work with the app. Now for the last 2 weeks NO pumps work and you have to go inside to pay....is this 1950?. I hope they get new ownership soon as its right next to my work and very convient. Plus I love the shell app and the extra discount from T-moble. I recently stopped here since I needed some gas and I wanted to explore what this gas station had to offer. I've never been to a gas station that had a Buffalo Wild Wings attached to it so that was the eye-catching thing. There was a Jimmy John's that's connected to the gas station as well. The gas station portion was pretty big and very clean too. Moderately clean restrooms and store. Shelves were well stocked and organized. Larger array of gas pumps to park at. Ricky Rockets has a modern slick look that draws the eye. I have been to other locations so I knew what to expect. This location won't let you down. Clean, spotless and fully stocked. There's a delicious Joe's Doughnuts inside and a Jimmy John's connected. Word on the street, aka a cashier, a Greek spot may be moving in to the corner spot! Now that's exciting!! I pulled an associate and a manager to look at it and they both agreed, filled out an incident form and then over a month later they said it was like that. Absolutely zero stars. I usually wash my car by hand, but due to the cold and heavy salt buildup, I decided to use this car wash one time on February 3rd. After the wash, I noticed damage to my vehicle. I went back and tried to file a report, but the staff was disrespectful and corporate told me they weren't liable. While I was reporting the issue, employees were laughing and making jokes, which was extremely unprofessional. I escalated the issue to corporate, but they said they couldn't help. I then filed a police report, and after an investigation, the police determined the business was liable for the damage. They have very awful camera on purpose to hide how damaging their wash is. Despite this, corporate continued to ignore the situation. I was told multiple times I would receive a follow-up call, but no one ever reached out. When I followed up myself, I was again told nothing could be done even though the police report said they'd call are at fault. I took my car to a body shop, and the repair estimate came out to $14,800 on a my new car with only 4,300 miles. Since then, I've been stuck dealing with insurance, which has been a major headache and it has been 2 months and I still have not got any repairs done. I will never return and have warned friends and family to avoid this place. Save yourself the stress--do not spend your money here. read more

Fix the pumps!!! They seldom work! I usually have to go inside to pay first! Today there was a message on #5 that said "To use this pump you have to pay inside!" I went inside to pay & she said you could go to another pump. I chose to pay & not move my car & even then it didn't work. We were in the area of Ricky Rockets in Buffalo Grove and we noticed we needed gas and could use a wash so we decided to give it a try. On the positive side the pumps are new and have nice user interfaces. I also appreciated that there was a staff member at the entrance to the car wash to help get cars positioned correctly. On the not so positive side the location is difficult if you want to head East after filling up. You can't turn left at the exit by the car wash and there is a sign saying no left turns at the exit on the West side of the property. Walk into the store and you'll find plenty of bumper stickers using vulgar or violent language, cowboy hats and hunting knives. I was disappointed to to see that while Ricky Rockets staff took the time to print out human trafficking prevention posters they decided to post the ones in the women's washrooms in places that were visible but unhelpful. For example one poster was near the ceiling by the entrance to the washroom. Hard to read unless you're over 6 ft tall and the trafficker isn't standing near the bathroom entrance. Overall when I need gas or a wash I'll drive a few more minutes West to one of the other stations by Rt. 83. read more

Have used this spot as my company vehicle filling spot. Rest rooms are spotless. Tried their sandwich if Multi Bread Turkey Sandwich. I recommend being very careful when getting your vehicle washed at Ricky Rockets in Buffalo Grove. Not because of the paint on your vehicle being swirled or scratched, but because you won't get all of the features that you paid for. The last 3 washes I purchased, with the final one being on 11.13.25, I had a sneaky suspicion that I wasn't getting all of the "upgrades" that I paid for on my $18.00 wash. Passing thru the "arches" I noticed that nothing was being applied from them. This last time I took videos of the issue and wrote an e-mail to the listed owner, Mr. Rick Heidner, who can be reached at rick@heidnerinc.com. Not receiving what I paid for and expected is nothing short of theft! I have not heard a word from Mr. Heidner as I thought he would want to know what is happening at his business. I encourage everyone who gets their car washed at this Ricky Rockets to be diligent and record the wash as you pass thru it to ensure that you are getting what you paid for. This matter is nothing short of theft and if you ask me is done deliberately which is cheating their customers and raising profits for themselves. I plan on sending my experience to the Buffalo Grove Village attorney for further investigation into these deceptive practices which are 100% illegal. HORRIBLE! they have two lanes, one marked closed, one marked open. We pull up and each lane has 10 cars. Noone is moving for 5 minutes. Then the "CLOSED" lane starts moving! 15 cars move in the closed lane without any movement in the open lane!! Ridiculous! Cars start honking. Nothing. Husband gets out of the car to go see what is going on. He complains. The attendant does nothing....just...uh..... NOW, we noticed you can buy 4 different washes BUT with cars coming from two lanes, merging into one lane however they want, it is literally impossible for the car wash to know which wash you paid for because the cars can get out of order based on how they merge. You could pay for the most expensive wash and the car in front of you could get your wash while you get the basic wash they paid for. SO highly recommend you buy the cheapest wash so you don't get screwed!! I'm guessing the attendant is supposed to make sure you get the correct wash, but he is doing nothing but looking at his phone. We wanted to ask the attendant how this works but as our car approaches the entrance, he walks away. Larger white woman inside was incredibly rude and condescending. They were advertising energy drinks at a lower price than they rung up as. She talked to me like I was an idiot, all the while I was pointing to a sign that said they were 2/$4 (they rang up as more). I emailed corporate about this woman's horrible attitude five days ago and got no response. I guess they don't care. I had already paid for gas and a car wash so I went through the wash afterwards. My car was clean except some kind of yellow gunk (probably wax) is dried up all over it. It comes off but leaves a residue. This was the coolest gas station I've been inside in a long time. Sparkling clean interior, everything is organized and labelled very well. Customer service was polite and quick. Gas prices were a little high, but it's a nice area with wealthier customers. I recommend this place if you're looking for a cool gas station that is clean and well-stocked. read more

Paid $18 for the "deluxe" car wash as my car usually is in the driveway instead of the garage. Sadly, the car still had dirt and bird poop on it after the wash. I have never paid more than $10 for a wash so for $18 I would think it would have gotten it a bit cleaner. read more

Very overpriced popcorn smh. I went there a couple times it was alright but last time i went... it was different. It was around 10:30ish and i went there for some snacks. There was a couple people in the store and it appeared that all the employees were gathered around the registers. I was in line when this big white old women (acting like management) began to yell at an employee about locking up something in the back. She was yelling and disturbing the customers, it was very awkward and very uncomfortable for us. If she wanted something done so bad she could've done it herself since she was chatting with employees and he was helping us. I will not support this place when it has managers talking to its employees like that, i cannot even imagine how she treats him or others behind closed doors. absolutely unacceptable. train better. read more
