Food was mediocre at best yam fries were undercooked and cold, the chipotle sauce tasted like it had gone bad . Gross breakfast. Just stick to the buttermilk pancakes it's what they do best. Breakfast bowel had over cooked hash browns and the "hollandaise" was some kind of gross gloppy mess and def not hollandiase. This nasty sauce also tasted funny and ruined the eggs benedict. Well they were already ruined by the basically hard boiled poached eggs. Should have a runny yolk. yuk and the shredded hash browns were almost burnt mixed with uncooked . We came here for brunch today, Friday. We were seated right away. The servers were friendly and polite. The environment was quite comfortable and ambience was causal. We sat down and had a cup of coffee immediately. We knew what we would like to order. We quickly placed an order. It didn't take too long that the food came out from the kitchen quickly. We had traditional bennies, breakfast club and farmland's favourite. All of them tasted great. Ricky's offered a great variety of breakfast on their menus. They were competing with Denny's. Both Ricky's and Denny's have similar dishes but their price points were different. Ricky's cost a little bit more than Denny's. But the ambience, environment and interior design at Ricky's were a bit better than Denny's. It depends on whether or not you would like to spend a little bit more on Ricky's. This Ricky's has a big parking lot outside. Great location and it is convenient. We wouldn't mind to come back here for brunch/lunch/dinner. read more

Okay food, terrible service. Our waitress disappeared after we finished our food for over 25 mins. We asked the tall blonde hostess for coffee refills and were once again ignored. We then had to flag down a different waitress for refills and to ask for the bill. Our waitress finally arrived, no apology or acknowledgment that she was off doing something else. It wasn't even busy, so we have no idea what she was even doing. Food was the regular run of the mill breakfast, nothing fancy. Won't be returning to this location. We have had good experiences at the Ricky's on 64th Ave in Langley and expected the same service here. read more

Great wait staff, terrible food. I ordered an omelet with cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. When it came, it was very brown and overcooked on the outside. The bacon in the omelet was so hard I thought I was going to break a tooth. I am all for crispy bacon, but this was really bad. The hashbrowns were even worse than the omelet. raw potatoes inside and not sure what was with the outside, but they were chewy. Not crispy, but literally chewy. The only bright spot was the toast. Warning for anyone going here! The owner does not understand customer service and is not a person of integrity! We decided to go here for brunch as we used to go to Ricky's close to our home in Murreyville often until they changed their coffee for the worst. This location is definitely not like the other which always took care of their customers no matter what the issue. I will say tho the server we had was very professional and very nice but when we received our order my wife's dish (a veggie breakfast bowl) was cold. When she sent it back she specifically said that she did not want it microwaved and the owner told her he would make a fresh one. It was brought back microwaved!!! She could see were she took the first bit from & when she said that she didn't want it heated he straight out lied and said it was freshly made. There was no way it was fresh because it was brought back about 3 minutes after he took it from our table, no way they could make a fresh one that fast. My wife lost confidence in the kitchen and management so she didn't want to eat there anymore and when we asked to speak to the owner we waited 10 minutes just to find out he would not come talk with us. He said there was nothing else he was willing to do. He said we were unreasonable. Unbelievable to me that an owner would be so ignorant & inconsiderate! Mothers day, figured we'd order some breakfast in. Call at 8:35 and get told order will be ready by 9:30, given the day I understand the hour long wait I guess. When I arrive at 9:35, I tell my order and to the guy at the door and he runs to the back and tells them to start my meal and hurry. Awesome my four meals are being cooked now at 9:35. I paid when I first showed up not knowing my order wasnt even cooked yet. Left a tip!! The drivers from skip the dishes show, and get all their meals. I finally get my order, which I unpack and double check. Items were missing, had to ask for them. Get home eventually and unpack all of our meals... and to really no surprise at all I'm sadly to say but all four of our meals were incorrect. Close to the right order i guess but not accurate. I tipped unknowingly what the service I was going to get and frankly I pretty disappointed. read more

This is a great place for breakfast with very generous portions. My family and I went on a Saturday morning and it wasn't crowded. Both the hostess and server were wonderful and the food came out promptly. I ordered the Grand Forks Breakfast (3 eggs, 3 sausage, 3 bacon, 3 pancakes, toast and hash browns) and even though they said it was for big appetites, I honestly didn't think it would be that sizable. The other chain restaurant portions are pretty small even when they claim the portions are big. However, when they brought out my breakfast, I was very impressed because it was literally a platter of food! My family was equally impressed by the portion sizes of their respective orders. Needless to say, I could not finish my plate, which is usually not the case. All in all, it's a great place to go for breakfast, especially if you're hungry! I remember this place being so much better! I took my family to the drive up at the back to get supper to go. My son really wanted a hamburger. We ordered a monty mushroom burger & fries, avacado impossible burger with salad, & burger & fries for the boy. We got it home to find the order was wrong. My wife didn't get her salad & my son didn't get his burger! Instead he got this nasty mac & cheese that ended up in the trash. The fries were mushy & there were barely any mushrooms on my burger (that I had to split with my son). I phoned the restaurant to let them know. They promised to email me a gift certificate. I will start by saying the waitress that served us was lovely and very good at her job! However, the food was tasteless and the cheese in the poutine was like plastic. I sent back the poutine because the gravy was awful and the cheese was like plastic. The Caesar salad had very little taste and was expensive considering it was a side salad.We were staying in a hotel nearby by we did not return to this restaurant again. We visited this restaurant on Feb. 03 while visiting in the area (we live in Victoria). Our party was made up of three adults and our 7 yr old granddaughter. Upon our arrival we were greeted quickly and in a very friendly manner. Our order was taken quickly and the food came very shortly after that. They even took the time to ensure our granddaughters meal was served as soon as possible because of our long drive from Victoria. During the meal we had a chance to meet the owners when they came over to our table while saying hello to customers. They were so pleasant and welcoming! The meal was great, we all enjoyed our choices. The fries are a must try too!! If you like french fries then you have to try their version! So delicious! Came here for dinner while on vacation, and we were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. Service was super quick and very friendly. My chicken strips were some of the best I've ever had. They were super moist and juicy inside and had a thin, crispy batter that was nicely seasoned. My daughter had the kids mac-n-cheese and she ate it right up. We split the Deep Dish Apple Extravaganza and the Sticky Toffee Pudding and both were excellent. The apples were generously spiced, tender and covered with a crunchy crumb topping. This restaurant is not handicapped friendly. There is no way to get a walker or a wheel chair into this place without a great deal of difficulty. Also the handicapped parking was only one and this one was at the entrance that had five cement stairs to get up. It has nor handicapped door opening option so you have to be able to open a very heavy door to get out and get in which I found impossible lluckily the friendly asian man at the till was kind enough to help us out the door. We opted to come here because our favorite breakfast restaurant is closed on Mondays. The food was quite average and the toast is always burnt. We have come here sporadically for 2 years but for some reason the cook personally enjoys burnt toast and thinks everyone else does too. I knew this when we arrived so I specifically ordered "lightly toasted toast" and sure enough, I received burnt toast. She took it back and then I got lightly toasted toast. I loved watching my partner eating his burnt toast. He was so hungry he just ate it. It would be awesome if a manager or someone turned down the little toaster knob to 'medium' instead of 'hotter than the sun'. Oh, don't bother ordering waffles because our friend said it was below average and for some reason we had three different servers which I found to be quite annoying. read more

In the past my husband and I have enjoyed our food and visit to this Ricky's. I feel as though they have changed owners, as normally on busy weekend nights for Roast Beef Dinner it is packed with happy customers, usually there are multiple hostesses and waitresses hurrying around. The past 2 visits one on a Friday and one on a Saturday, both were oddly empty. This past visit, there was 1 server working and 1 host. During our visit two customers complained about their food. I myself even had to complain, I ordered a burger which was similar to my husbands but cost more due to some added features (listed in the menu, not customized). We both got the same burger, waitress was busy dealing with the other complaining customers so after waiting and eating all of my fries, I had to just start eating. My husband could not eat his burger as it was soaked in grease, both the top and bottom bun were like grease filled sponges. I left some of my burger behind to show her the difference and to show her the absolute puddle of grease... she was very sorry (she obviously had a speech down pat by now). She came back with our receipt and only 10% off JUST MY BURGER. We were very disappointed. we had no drink refills, no service whatsoever and only 10% off 1 burger. We wont be back. read more

Took a friend out for her birthday and she wanted breakfast. Not really many places for breakfast on a Wednesday so we stopped in at Ricky's. First impression was good as we were greeted right away. Our server was so personable and friendly. (Lady with purple hair, didn't get her name) her service was almost impeccable. We had some heavy modifications to our meal and she seemed to know the menu inside and out. When we got our food it was mediocre. The guacamole seemed so over processed it was hard to eat and the 2 egg omelet is like an spongy egg crepe with stuffing. I got the bill and it was $40 for two breakfasts (we drank water) My 2 egg mediocre omelet was almost $18! I couldn't believe it but I paid and didn't say anything because it was my friends birthday. If I go back to Ricky's it's going to be for the service and maybe some coffee because the prices for the quality of food was appalling. read more
