I am comparing this against other family-friendly restaurants. White Spot gets parents. They get our kids their pirate packs fast. They get the wine to the parents fast. The service is chefs kiss and the food is precisely what you'd expect. The team here? They are great. They recognize us now and they treat us well. I have never really had a "bad meal" here so I'm not sure what the other people are having. Ultimately, we're dialed in and so grateful for the speedy service, family friendly nature, and chill atmostphere. This is a great white spot with a great team running it. read more

"Adequate" is the word for this low-level version of a mid-level restaurant. The young staff are personable and doing their best to imitate professional servers. The decor--if cleaner--would resemble an appropriate eating space for families and couples. The menu covers the bases for those raised on fast food and frozen entrees. $20.00 for a burger and fries is reasonable in the 2022 marketplace. If you simply want to sit down for a meal on a comfortable seat rather than a hard plastic chair, this place will serve the purpose. read more

Take out service is consistently making mistakes. When we first started they kept ignoring the additional note requesting for bacon to be left off my sandwich. More recently they have been forgetting to give us all of our bags. We were already out of the parking lot when we got a call asking us to come back and pick up the bag they forgot. The next time I came after that incident I was more wary and so I rifled through the back to ensure everything was there....and it wasn't. These kind of consistent mistakes aren't acceptable for a restaurant like this! I don't appreciate that I have to rifle through my bag like I'm at a fast paced McDonald's drive through. The only reason I keep coming back is because my favorite burger spot doesn't do take out service. My visits have definitely gone down in frequency due to the service. read more

We decided to hit up the drive in as we had two of my dogs with us. The service was quick and prompt and kudos to the waitress for not being deterred by my spazz off a dog. I tried the legendary burger with a side of onion rings. It is a decent hamburger. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is when I can get a burger with more toppings at any other burger place. Likewise, I can get a good hamburger cheaper elsewhere. The secret sauce is okay. It was not that special to my tastebuds worthy of a return trip. The bun could be fancier. The onion rings were nicely fried. The batter was light and overall, the rings were well seasoned. Service was good. Our server was on point at managing a large crowd. I went to the gym early and I really wanted to wreck it by going out for breakfast. The down side is I am not a fan of eggs. Actually I hate them, which is why I decided to go to White Spot for brunch. I was able to get a small table, as it was just me, without too much of a hassle. I had the chicken and mushroom fettuccine alfredo which I think was slightly better for me than a burger. I could be wrong. I probably am ha ha. Either way, it was tasty although could have used more mushrooms but that is just me. What really made the brunch was the server. She was fantastic. She was efficient and when I caught her eye while she was taking a large order from the table beside me, she knew I wanted the bill. It was perfect timing. read more

Well, I have probably eaten at White Spot 50 times in the last 15 years, and I have never bothered writing a review. Until the last 12-18 months I always felt like it was a safe/decent place to eat a simple meal. The burgers are always solid, some of the family like the fish and chips, the sandwiches are good and the salads are also possible. Add to that the overall 'family' feel of the place, we are always ok bringing our two small girls along. Now, I am not sure what is happening, but things have changed. Maybe it is just the Scott Road (120th Street in Delta) location, but my last 5-6 time there have been sub-par. Tonight: I had the Legendary Burger with a cup of the Manhattan (red) clam chowder. 1. As has been the case for the last number of visits, the buns on the sandwiches were all dry. 2. Service was....marginal at best. A small smile here and there, but it felt as though our server was overwhelmed. I was literally never even offered a drink, so I just drank the water that was placed in front of me. 3. My clam chowder was under-seasoned and there was an abnormal amount of fat glistening in the surface of the soup. 4. My burger was severely overcooked. Like....zero moisture....and with a severely dry bun this was a bit ugly. Without the famous Triple O's sauce I doubt I could have choked it down. Unfortunately, that's what I did. The food came out quick and was nice for sure, but the real star of the night was our waitress Dakota! I don't want to make a bad habit of writing thoughts on chain restaurants, but after my latest meal at White Spot - it's for the kids and the Pirate Packs, I swear - I had to share a COUPLE of things. Call them my White Spot Rules. 1. You go to White Spot to have a burger and nothing else. Stick to the mainstream - Legendary burger or double-double. The Big (6oz) patties are horrible and dry - so resist the urge and don't go for anything that has BIG in its name. 2. Skip dessert. Seriously the blueberry pie I had was OK, but where did that horrible crust come from?!? If you feel like a dessert at any point during your meal, get a milkshake. 3. I am a COLESLAW guy. I just love it. Wherever I go I like to get coleslaw. White Spot has coleslaw but it is BEYOND disgusting. What is it exactly???? Head Office needs to get in here & pull it from the ditch. I don't know who they have as their kitchen manager and staff, but they need to have a wake-up-or-else meeting with management. I managed restaurants for years so I know trouble when I see it. I've also had some bad food served up to me but this location wins the prize. Yesterday, I was served a beef dip that the beef was so dry on the edges that was nearly black. I can't imagine how long this had to be out for it to harden like this. However, by far the worst part, which literally made me feel ill... hanging outside the bun was a slab of fat, and dead center of that was a HUGE thick vein. It could make a person sick thinking about it. The kitchen staff putting that on the bun had to see this. It was impossible to miss. These ppl could care-less. This was Slop. Completely inedible. My traditional burger was delicious! It was my first time at White Spot and I was curious. When you come to a restaurant that is a long-standing chain but you've never seen or heard of until now, you are very curious. It was very curious how this restaurant with its nice decor could have a drive-in just out the backdoor. Anyway I stuck with my guts and had the burger. It was very, very good! The fries that came with it were alright. Nothing to write home about even though they were bottomless. I stopped at a Triple O's to pick up another burger on my way back to the States and it was delicious also! Went there for lunch with my hubby. I had the Chuck Currie burger. I don't normally eat meat but when I read balsamic mushrooms and blue brie cheese I was sold. It was delicious! It did not have a blue cheese taste, although I do like blue cheese. It had coleslaw on the side which I love and I substituted for the yam fries with chipotle dip. We often come to this branch during our trips out west to visit family. Service is generally solid and in all, it's a standard white spot experience. Over the past years, White Spot has gone more high end (pricier food items, with a revamped selection of burgers, and old faves somewhat transformed and shifted around; decor with rock waterfalls and rough cut stone in thin, horizontal layers, etc), while Triple O's, as small add on diners at gas stations (?? yes, gas stations--it sounds odd, but isn't as bad as it might seem from the bare description) are more in the burger and fries vein. The latter are fine, but if you want a proper sit down experience, you still have to go to White Spot. As others have said, my main reason (esp because it's just during brief visits now) is for the burgers. They also used to have a fabulous toasted shrimp sandwich that friends tell me you can still get if you order it separately. If this is true, then they are highly recommended, though they don't tend to keep me full for as long. But the burgers are the core. I'm a Monty mushroom kind of gal, but as I get older, the full size is too much, and too greasy/heavy for me--esp with a side of fries and the coleslaw and all the rest. So, it's a good thing that they now have three sliders as an appetizer option. You can get three different kinds (legendary, Monty mushroom and bacon cheeseburger, i think) or all of the same--I get the Monty mushroom in slider size and that feels about right for lunch, with no other sides (bigger appetites should go for the standard platter, with sides, of course--I just find it too much for me). In all, the legendary burger/Monty mushroom is definitely a 'taste of home' for me, whenever I come back to visit my old haunts and the place where I spent so many of my formative years! As long as they don't change that, I'll always be coming back to the White Spot! read more

Whitespot has become a go-to for my friend and I when we don't feel like arguing over where we should eat. The service in this location is usually prompt and friendly (although it is rare that they proactively offer to re-fill your "endless" fries); sometimes, it can come off as fake thoughts so... The food, if you stick to the traditional burgers, is always good. I'm not a huge fan of any menu items outside of the burgers and MAYBE chicken sandwiches but the milkshakes are amazing. The meals are always very filling so if you're planning on getting a milkshake, consider splitting it with a friend. I would give this a zero except the waitress did make sure the 3 children were looked after with the sundae of the pirate pack. My daughter did get a drink refill and that was all. the unlimited fries didn't happen for anyone. of the 6 and myself as a senior to make 7 that was a $140 meal and I was disgusted. My chicken wrap had 2 slices of chicken and I came home hungry and ate a peanut butter sandwich. I did wait with my son-in-law and saw the bill and told him for the price of some other places that actually served food for the $140 . We work hard for our wages and the service was awful. The children were looked after and that was all. This is an update from Last year's post where my son was served a vanilla milk shake that had blueberries in it and a raw hamburger. We order takeout from them on a fairly regular basis and 90% of the time our order is incorrect or missing something. I'd understand if we were placing our orders on the phone, mistakes happen, human error- but when it's an online order and everything is in PRINT for them to put in the bag, I don't know how they declare the orders "spot checked" before handing them over. My wife, Father in law and I went there for the turkey dinner on Thursday 09/15/19. We were there about 4:45. We waited about five minutes for a waitress who took out order. We then waited half an hour for our meals all Turkey dinners, my father in law ordered fries instead of mashed potatoes. When the meals came his fries were on the side and they still had mashed on his plate. We then started our meals and the turkey and fixings were hot as well as the gravy, but the mashed potatoes were so cold they felt like had just come out of a fridge. We brought this to the attention of the server and after 10 minutes they brought us hot potatoes on the side! No Gravy and ours was now cold! after complaining 5 minutes later the server returned with a bowl of beef gravy and by then every thing else was cold and,,,, Beef gravy on the turkey dinner!!!! The manager apologized and took my dinner off the bill. That was something, but the whole experience sucked and we will never go there again and will share our experience with our friends as well! Had the worst eggs benny today. The Hollandaise sauce was very lemony and had too much cilantro. The ham/bacon was so thin you barely tasted it. The hash browns were just small potatoes that appeared to be precooked and then put on the grill where they are slightly smashed and cooked until somewhat crispy. I used to love going to White Spot for breakfast but they seem to be too involved in trying to be trendy. I miss the old White Spot. Their burgers though are still to die for! read more

Had a mix up with our delivery order because our skip driver grabbed the wrong bag. The manager and staff working closing on Tuesday night at this white spot gave us excellent service and made sure the problem was rectified. The food was piping hot and delicious! This is probably one of the best White Spot restaurants around. They are quick to seat, fast courteous servers, and the food is consistently hot and well prepared. As I work near the mall, I got here at least 6 times a month - only due to a fixed budget I don't eat here every day. read more

Of course I've been back since my last review but thought I would update it. Basically, this is one of our go-to places for take out. Yes, you could easily spend $15 per person on take out, but the food is delicious. Not sure what it is but everything tastes good. From their burgers (which are legendary!) to fish tacos and even chicken strips, it is great. Only negative with the take out would be that the fries go a bit soggy - but that's with all take out places using real potatoes. read more

Why is it that every White Spot, except the Tsawwassen one, that is 3/4 empty insists on having its arriving guests wait lined up in the lobby... of an EMPTY restaurant??? This WS was no different... An abundance of empty tables and my 88 year old mom with her walker has to stand for over 10 minutes until I insist on someone getting the manager and seating us. If it were not for my mom who really wanted to eat something I surely would have left. We went in only for a nice dessert only to find out that they have cut all the yummy things from their menus and now only offer these mini desserts. My mom had the apple crumble and I the cheesecake, both were nothiing exceptional. Their tea that they serve, Mighty Leaf Tropical Green Tea, second to none. Love it. Add a "titch" of sugar or Sucra to it, and voila... but maybe find it a restaurant that actually wants it's clientele sitting at their tables not standing in the lobby! read more

I've been to this restaurant twice and I like white spot, but this location both times I've had mediocre service. The servers didn't seem to care and the first time I waited 5-10 minutes to find our server just for the bill and it wasn't even that busy in the restaurant. Second time, I ordered what was on special that afternoon but I just wanted the regular burger with fries, the special came with yam fries and I didn't order it that way and I still got charged for the yam fries just because I got the burger that was on special. I like the food there, quality has improved over the years but service isn't great. read more

I go to this location often as it's close proximity to my place. We always get great service here, no matter if it's busy or slow. The food is always fresh and warm, yes you may need to wait a while for it sometimes but trust me it's worth the wait. My favourite is the Bacon Mushroom Poutine, I'm salivating just writing this.
