Best "ice cream" I could ever dream of. We usually order pistachio with coconut, that combo is to die for. I love how the texture is icy and gritty at the same time, we can actually taste the real pistachios and coconuts used. Among other flavors, our other pics are strawberry, Mamey, or mango. This ice cream is the best because it's not heavy, it's sorbet with only a few ingredients. Some have a milk or cream base. Personally i like the fruit based ones. We stop by here every-time we are in town even tho it's out of the way. Stop by and try it, it's light and refreshing. They have 2 scoops 4 scoops or 7 scoops to choose from. This little "Mexican" ice cream shop had different varieties of treats at a good price. This place is small so there were quite a few people waiting in the line that was out the door. The line moved quickly thanks to the nice ladies behind the counter. I got the Mangonada for a perfect Saturday treat. In this Mangonada they used crushed ice and one scoop of mango ice cream on top which made this one much more of a drink. For what it is, it is very good. A "Mexican" ice cream shop, but most importantly it is the only place in the county (that I know of) that sells Tejuino. Don't come here expecting 31 flavors or some other crappy ice cream shop, just the basics here as far as flavors but made from ingredients you can read and understand. The flavor/texture is very similar to Italian Ice which I also love getting at the Ventura College SwapMeet but the milk flavors really stand out, I would recommend trying something like Nut and Vanilla and Chocolate to start out, then when you really want to try something good and water based move on to the lime, tamarindo and jamaica flavors. For me its simple its Tejuino with lime ice cream every time. This delicious fermented tea is delicious and is similar to Kombucha in the taste but not in the texture.
