I appreciate this location because it's easily accessible whether you come from up the avenue or down the avenue. The parking is not the greatest but there's plenty of street parking and a library parking lot across the way if all else fails! Inside: store looked and smelled clean. It seemed apparent that they care to make sure it stays that way. I didn't expect to see a bunch of arcade style claw games; that was a cool factor bonus. They have an ample amount of flavors and arrangements; for their ice creams and fruit options. I wasn't too disappointed that the manzana didn't have the tamarindo it was supposed to, ans I was grateful that they let me know before I purchased it! I do wish they would have offered to sub something else instead of the tamarindo that was sold out, but I didn't care to ask either. Delicious Mexican Ice Cream! They have so many flavors. Hard to choose. There were a lot of authentic Mexican flavors. They have a very friendly staff. I was greeted with a smile and the young lady asked what I would like. Kids tried a few flavors and we finally settled on Pistachio and Rocky Road. They were so creamy! The Pistachio was my favorite. It had real pista in it and the ice cream tasted like the ones we find in India. Yum! The had a nice casual sitting area with a few chairs. Very clean. We will be back. The serving size was great and the ice cream was creamy. Although we only got 2 scoops, it was enough as dessert for two people for two meals. $2.50 isn't cheap for a popsicle but I have to admit, the paletas here are really good. I had the vanilla and strawberry paleta and really enjoyed it. The outer coat of vanilla was creamy and the paleta had a good ratio of vanilla and strawberry. There were so many different flavor varieties I wanted to try. I've been to a lot of paleta places, but I've never seen a lot of the flavors they offered here. Very clean and comes with it's own parking lot and bathroom. They have so many choices, it reminds me of Mexico. There are around 4 tables to sit at inside and a few outside. I heard about this place on instagram (thanks @805foodie)! They have traditional Mexican paletas (think of it as an ice cream lollipop) as well as regular ice cream cones. Their paletas selection is diverse - from traditional flavors like mango, pineapple, watermelon, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry to more regional ones like nuez (nut), vanilla with raisins, coffee, tamarind, cucumber, pistachio, and even spiced with chili flavor savory ones. The employees are friendly & their pink hats and t-shirts add to the fun neighborhood atmosphere. Prices are very fair. For our family of 3, we spent less than $10. Been here a number of times now. Tried it the first time alone and got a strawberry paleta. The next time I tried the plum. Both were excellent, but the plum brought me back the third time. And the fourth, when I brought the fam...decided I'd share my secret. The plum paleta has flecks of prune + a whole prune at the end of the pop. OMG. We were staying at a nearby hotel, and you better believe we went both days we were there! First time in my husband got a fresa con queso and chongos double scoop on a fresh cone. I got a tamango chile Popsicle. Although both were good, the winner here was the ice cream. The next day we were craving that chongos ice cream again and went back!! We got another chongos and queso con fresa double scoop and we also got two elotes (one traditional one flaming hot Cheetos style). I preferred the traditional but both were tasty. Customer service is on point. They have lines out the door and are still quick and efficient. They are sweet and fun and let you try whatever you want because it's so hard to decide lol. So many flavors to try! We tried four different types of paletas: the gansito (chocolate strawberry cake) flavor, guava, Oreo mint, and mamey. We learned that mamey is the national fruit of Cuba.
