I'm new to the area and this place was recommended by a colleague. I am so glad I found this hidden gem! They have amazing food and traditional Mexican snacks like tostilocos, raspados, mangoneadas, etc. I got the carne asada fries and mango/pineapple con chamoy and Tajin. Sooooo amazing and fresh. Best raspados in Ventura County! Fresh fruit on the raspados and the syrup isn't super sweet but tangy. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because of customer service, but if your product is good I don't mind if I don't get a smile. They even deliver if you order more than $20. read more

My family and I have been coming here since they were just a food truck! We never came for the raspados or any of their tostilocos although we've had them and they are delicious! We alway come for their tacos! Always sooooo bomb fresh and just good food! We always get tacos de asada and chorizo with flour tortilla I know that sounds crazy flour but they are handmade in store and thin not the thick kind you can buy at a grocery store! We also get their California taco that one get on corn because it comes with a Chile filled with cheese and your choice of meat! My favorite! My husband also gets their militas del chorizo and asada. I've had other things on the menu like quesadillas and hot dog can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. If you're thinking of going and can't decide just go! Some of the other reviews on here talk about their fruit and tbh that's not what we come for so can't speak on it but they literally have a fridge full of fresh uncut fruit to cut for their biónicos and raspados. Honestly this place is really good! My favorite !!!! I must say, but unfortunately they only open whenever they want to (and do not respect their business hours as any other concernedly business does) and that makes me feel like they really don't care about their customers instead just about profit. The reason I say this is because today I went there 4 times in a period of 1.5 hours (12:30-2:00pm) and it was closed while their business hours advertisement said that they open at 12:30. It was annoying! I would really appreciate it that if they're going to do that to their customers they at least put on a "be right back" or "we won't open today" sign or even via web for the sake of their regular customers. Frutti Hielo is dope. I wish they had this place back when I was small, the kind of hangout place you would see on T.V. like Saved by the Bell. Tostilocos are good. I have to come and get raspados here because my neighbor called the cops on the Elotero Man 10 years ago and has done so everytime one would go down my street. Now they never go. It seems they have spread the word about my street among themselves and if I see an Elotero around the block when I walk my dog I warn them about it myself too, to spare them that trouble. Brought my mother in law here after Yelping where to get Tostilocos in the area. She had never tried them, and was blown away! I have had my share of these types of goodies as I live in San Diego County and they have them all over especially near the border so I new what I was looking for. They have a sort of bar of toppings and all the fruitas and concoctions that you may be looking for! And they have Tostitos chips (for Tostilokos) unlike some places that only have the Takis and the Cheetos crap. Will definitely return when I'm back in town! read more

This place used to be good. I came here once the opened ; it used to look clean; the service was great; the quality was better. Now it's going down hill. The seats are torn, the place looks like it hasn't been cleaned. I asked for a bionico and the cream was just water, had no shredded coconut like before and some fruit were sour. I also had to wait about 20 min to get my smoothie. I got my bionico in about 8 min. I sat finished my bionico before I ever got my smoothie. Horrible wait time read more

Where do I start....I walked in on a hot day wanting to have something refreshing. I was thinking about some ice cream but I guess that's not one of their items on the menu. The place is huge and has a lot of games to keep the young ones entertained, can't be mad at that. I finally get to the counter and I am there for at least 3 minutes before someone can acknowledge me. I hear people in the back arguing and a lady sitting down watching tv that saw me but didn't even tell the others I was there. So I start looking around and I see pictures of their items on top of the counter, which did not seem too appealing. I look up at their other menu and nothing caught my attention. As I was thinking of walking out a young lady came to get my order. I ordered an agua de piña that costs $4.00 for a 16oz (btw not complaining) as I am walking out I take a sip and the water is room temperature, no ice was blended and the piña tasted like it was left out for days. I don't usually take things back but I thought it was really shitty. The lady that took my order said if was freshly cut this morning. Which might have been true but the pineapple way past it's ripeness. She asked if she could get me something else but I really didn't want anything else so I got my money back. She wasn't rude but I'm sure she didn't like the fact that I asked for the $ instead of another item. She gave the water to the man that had prepared it and he just looked out from his little window and did nothing to accommodate the unsatisfied customer. I really don't understand why this place has a 4 star rating. There is nothing appealing about this place I might as well have gone to the Michoacana down the street and probably have gotten shitty service but I would have been somewhat satisfied with one of their paletas.
