Ricos has fabulous ambiance and an okay menu that is on the same great level as other restaurants in the area such as Burch n Barley, Zeppos, South fork, The Land bar, The Foundry, and Paradise Creek Brewery downtown. They are all on the same level and a pretty comparable price range. The only restraunt that's better AND more expensive is The Black Cypress. You will be fed well enough from any of these fine locations. And don't forget to consider Sella's Pizza which is local to Pullman and also very high quality. There's another pizzeria with thin crusts, but I hate it, so I won't mention it. If you must have it, ask your undergrad because I could careless. read more

First time! We got the fish and chips and the French dip, both were DELICIOUS! Our waiter was wonderful, I love to have someone that can get into a conversation even if it's just about them for a moment. Cool little bar in this tiny town of Pullman, WA. This pub felt pretty authentic upon entering. Classic pub style bar w/lots of bar seating. One wall was all exposed brick that gave an old feel and cool vibe to the pub. I sat at the bar, to which Honna(spelling?) greeted me and gave me a menu. I opted for the fried fish tacos (they could not get grilled fish, oh well). The tacos were pretty decent. Crunchy, not too greasy and good flavor. This was a Tuesday around 6pm, so it wasn't too busy. It looked like it was kind of a hang out for WSU students (this is a university town). I ordered takeout from here due to many businesses in the area closing early. The burgers were tasty but very overpriced, a handful of not so great fries. They couldn't provide plastic cutlery for a salad and no ketchup! I ASKED THE GENTLEMAN WORKING FOR BOTH AND HE SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OR KETCHUP PACKETS! We went on a slow Monday evening. After a dismal 15 minutes of f-edupedness, we realized all but one of the staff were new hires in training. But they ended up doing great! The kitchen totally came through with delicious food! The Cougar Gold grilled cheese with bacon was awesome - I don't think my son breathed between bites. I hate to be THAT guy, but this has been one of the worst dining experiences I have ever experienced in my life. After working in the restaurant industry as a cook, I know that being understaffed is a problem and having new cooks can also add to that fire. However, there is no reason to bring three entrees out to a table after an hour wait, then another entree 20 min after that, and then waiting almost another hour for two of the last entrees. Is it too much to ask for a family to eat together at the same time for a graduation celebration? Not to mention I have asked for a beer (in a bottle) and never received it. Came here a little while ago. Loved the atmosphere but the service was absolutely atrocious. Staff standing around and not helping each other to check on tables. They were not busy but our food took well over an hour to come out. It also took a long time to get our check even though staff frequently walked past our table. We saw a couple come in to order takeout and they were told to stand at the far end of the bar. There they stood while the bartender messed around for several minutes doing mundane tasks while the customers stood there without even menus to look at. We will not be back read more

Do not judge from the outside! I was so surprised upon entering into this European style of pub! The pub features tall ceilings with large bookcase filled with old style books, sports and a friendly waiting staff. Parking was plentiful. Service and food were prompt! I appreciated that we could order either breakfast or off the lunch menu! Although I didn't partake mimosa pitchers arefor $12! This is definitely one of if not my favorite pace in Pullman by far! I really wish I could give this pub 5 stars. The atmosphere is phenomenal! Brick wall, book shelves, pool tables upstairs and live music down below. Not to mention Tuesday night trivia that is quite enjoyable.... But the service. Last night I waited about 10 minutes at the bar to even order a drink and wasn't able to order food until the waiter/waitress came to take my order at my table, which was another 10 or so minute wait. My go to spot for... breakfast, of all things, in Pullman. Great drink menu, tasty breakfast food and helpful and kind staff. The interior of the bar is gorgeous as well. As I sit here reading reviews and seeing the Snarky remarks from "Business Manager" Tawny I vividly recall my experience several times at this establishment prior to Covid. Food-Great! Service-non existent. I had to go to the bar for our check. Then was billed for the wrong table and Food. I spoke with shift manager who basically said " we employ college staff"... Zero effort to rise above and lead by example. Give your money to any other establishment in Pullman. This place doesn't deserve nor appreciate your business. Adk Tawny herself!! Tawny, my experience was prior to Covid, as I stated above. Twice was enough for me. You are the woman I spoke with. You are the woman that told me you had an outdated payment system which was the reason I couldn't get a receipt for our lunch. You also shrugged your shoulders in regards to our absent server. The food is good in a classic pub style (solid fish n' chips, reubens, burgers). Extra entertainment is a billiards room upstairs and live local music and dancing downstairs. While we might have been here during the winter break, this place was still really awesome. I love the old library feel as well as the awesome 75 cent popcorn! Of course onion rings are the best and the chicken strips.... The mixed drinks are well priced--honestly, try being a college student on the Eastside, then come talk to me about expensive cocktails. Let me start with the positives: it's a cool looking restaurant. The decor gives it a retro London look. There's a 20 foot book case with vintage literature and board games available for patrons to use while in the establishment. Also, there are open mic-nights and some live performances throughout the week. Now, the service is three times less than par. No one came to take my order, so I had to go to the bar. After 30 minutes, a server finally asked if I needed anything. This was after I picked up a drink and brought it to my table and someone from the back of the house brought my food out. The food is, well, pretty much bar food. Drinks seem pleasing. But what I go for is the atmosphere. A more sophisticated feel, but fun and social. Now and then I've seen people do homework here and I know that professors often drop by. If there isn't live music it's a nice place to have a chat. You can play pool upstairs too. However, they do have a great variety of beers on tap, their coffee and liquor drinks are great, and their food is tasty. However, they don't know how to many some basic mixed drinks. No bartender should have to look at a recipe to make a Long Island Iced Tea. The atmosphere is nice, it sort of looks like an old fashioned library. As a grad student I can't afford to go there often, but it is a good place to go once in a while. read more

A very class joint, established in 1909. A lot of character, dark wood tables and chairs, 3 smallish pool tables and 2 pinball machines upstairs, and a downstairs area that houses their music performers. Quite frequently you'll find some live jazz by local residents as well as WSU faculty/students. Overall, it's the best bar in the Pullman/Moscow area if the college sports-bar isn't your thing. Their beer selection isn't the greatest, but it's decent. The food is decent, nothing more, but their popcorn is the BEST in town. This is the kind of bar you could take your laptop and homework to study with, and get away with it. Free wi-fi. No longer a smoking bar since Washington State passed the no indoor smoking law - inside is very clean now. It's just about the only bar in the area I will frequent. read more

This place has so much potential, yet fails on so many easy-to-fix things... the good: great food... decent drinks... BUT.... HORRIBLE management; employees eating at the bar, employees taking up bar space while eating their own food "from home", employees reaching over the bar to refill their own soft-drinks... off work employees treat this place like their own basement bar... an embarrassing trivia machine taking up bar space... it is sad... this place could be so cool... it is historical and has a great kitchen, but bar management of employees seems the likely culprit of my poor experience. And sadly, the owners think it is a good idea to literally put a "non-cash charge" on every bill (vs. a cash discount when paid with cash)... ridiculous and offensive... who wants to see an actual charge on every bill paid with a debit card?? are they crazy? this place could be SO cool, but is known locally as a place with bad service and bad decisions... and I am new to the area, and can say this with many data points; poor management is seemingly ruining a potentially incredible local landmark.
