The woman who was working breakfast on 10/16 made sure the breakfast area was the cleanest I'd ever seen. Even the waffle maker was spotless. There was also a young black gentleman who was tidying up the lobby. He was stopped by an elderly lady asking him to do a bunch of random things (change the channel in the breakfast area, angle the curtains just so, figuring out where things were in the lobby, etc), he was so very kind and courteous to her. Did anything with a smile. It was so nice to watch I forgot to get his name.

Free breakfast (really yummy), free wifi, free parking. All suites, and consistent style from one property to the next which is great because I like knowing I will sleep in a good bed at a hotel! The beds are super comfortable. They provide tea and a microwave for hot water, which can prove very important when you need your chamomile at night after a stressful day. The best part of this Residence Inn were the staff. From the front desk wonderful Shana, who welcomed us with a smile after a 4 hour drive in traffic, to the friendly ladies working to clean the rooms, to Ana, letting me know the best parts of breakfast service and providing me with fresh wonderful coffee. Shana at front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. She was very kind to my parents, making sure my dad knew where to get his espresso in the morning and she deserves a shout out for being so professional and continuing to make Marriott properties look good. Personally, I plan on coming back and staying here again and at other Residence Inn properties. They really do feel like a home away from home. One with a very comfortable bed.

A waffle maker is also available for self service. I love that they offered oat milk and a different variety of syrups for the coffee. The breakfast station and dining room area were clean and organized. A staff member was present and ensured the food and beverages were plentiful and the stations were clean. There were ample parking in front and around the building.

Specifically for "The Bistro"…read more Apologies for the lengthy post in advance. We checked in today and noticed that The Bistro was listed as being open until 10:00 PM. Around 8:40 PM, I went downstairs to ask about laundry services and dinner options. I want to note that the front desk staff was excellent -- very kind, professional, and informative. Unfortunately, my experience at The Bistro was very different. When I approached the bar area to place a to-go order for my room, the bartender, Nikkii, responded by saying, "I guess, but people don't normally do dinner this late," while giving me a very uncomfortable look. Considering the restaurant was still open for another hour and a half, I found that comment inappropriate and unprofessional. I then asked if the restaurant's hours had changed from the posted 10:00 PM closing time, but instead of clarifying, she simply stated that I could not order soup because it is prepped in the morning. While I completely understand certain menu limitations later in the evening, the overall interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. As someone who also works in the service industry as a bartender, I understand that late-night orders can sometimes be frustrating, but it is still important to treat guests with courtesy and professionalism during operating hours. After placing my order, I realized that Nikkii herself would be preparing the food, which honestly made me uncomfortable given the attitude displayed throughout the interaction. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because the front desk staff set a wonderful tone for the stay, and it was disappointing for the dining experience to feel so unnecessarily negative. The lack of billing transparency and refusal to correct obvious errors is unacceptable. I've stayed at many Extended Stay locations over the years, but this one has by far the worst customer service and billing practices I've encountered. Check your bills carefully and get everything in writing if you must stay here. Better yet, choose a different hotel entirely. I'm now forced to dispute these charges through my credit card company. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this location.

The next day upon our arrival we had a last minute change of plans, because the room had a very limited direct ocean view and weather was going to be raining the whole time, so a balcony or direct ocean front view was a must. Kim was kind enough that she showed us 3 other alternatives available and offered us a full refund if we didn't like any.
