    Nachos and "cheese"?
    Tom E.

First time. Enter time: 7:05pm. Ok chaos should have been the name of this place. Order a Diet Coke. Diet Coke delivered 7:27pm. Emptied. I was thristy. Refill please: walked it up myself. 7:15 ordered food. 732 food delivered - oh way better than the other one star reviews said!!! Oops, spoke too soon. Ordered no olives on nachos - covered in olives Ordered red peppers on pizza - had green. The steak nachos were an F. Look at the "cheese". Steak was bland. The salsa for nachos was pretty great though They did fix pizza in a hurry and apologized. It was just ok. Mamma always said if you don't have anything nice to say....

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! I saw a Tik Tok about it and the food looked amazing. Hubby and I decided on a whim to give it a shot since it's a little over 30 minutes away from us. We drove past it because Waze was being stupid so we turned around and pulled right in. It does sit back off the road a bit so be on the lookout. We pulled up to and adorable building and smelled the delicious food wafting through the air. We walked in and sat at the bar in some extremely comfortable bar stools. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender who took our order promptly. We looked through the menu and landed on the Gouda Mac and cheese bites for an app, the double smash burger sauce on the side with fries and the Italian beef special with fries. The Mac and cheese bites were very good, the smash burger was to die for and the Italian beef was delicious with just the right amount of heat not too spicy. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious! Overall, we will be coming back, regardless of the little bit of the drive it is totally worth it!

Right from the start, pulling into the parking lot was a little rough. Having low profile tires on our car, the gravel drive had some decent size dips in the gravel. Walking up to the restaurant, you notice the outdoor dining patio with wood picnic tables. Not all of the tables had outdoor umbrellas. Maybe only 2? We asked for a high top table inside the restaurant. While being seated at our table we couldn't help but notice the music was cranked pretty loud. We were not comfortable with that, we had to shout our order to the waitress and shout to talk to each other. Ordered a pear martini, was told they were out of pear "stuff". Chose another drink and started to place our order. The waitress told us before we placed our order that they were out of Giardiniera for the Italian beef sandwich. Truthfully, that was the whole reason we drove over 30 miles to try this place out. Seriously, no joke! My husband wanted to go here because he hasn't seen a sandwich like this anywhere, so we decided to come here and check it out. Between being out of pear stuff and the Giardiniera, we had to keep telling our waitress to come back because we had to look over the menus again to make another decision. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza and the double smashburger. Both were very good. We were happy with our food and with the quality of the food. I would go back for the smashburger. I really enjoyed the burger. The pizza was large enough for us to take home and have another meal. When we left, people were fighting on each side of our car in the parking lot for our parking spot. Overall, a nice place if you don't mind loud, busy and being out of a few items. Call first to check if they have it before you make the trip.

Great atmosphere and looks to also have a great outside seating area. Wine list and drink menu is great for a more casual bar.

The only barrier from a five star review came in the form of one waiter with a receding hairline and starter studs, who asked for certain IDs when our table was ordering drinks based on subjectivity and looks. An insensitive comment was made to myself and my friend; he said "She doesn't look young, but SHE does" A bit after me not being able to provide ID because I did not have my wallet, he proceeded to accuse me of sipping someone else's drink and threatened to take it away. Upon backlash from our table, he remarked that someone had been watching me to make sure I hadn't sipped any drinks. This made me extremely uncomfortable, like I was being watched. I don't believe any of this waiter's behavior is a good standard of conduct as far as professionalism. I have never had a problem with trying others' drinks at restaurants. Regardless, I Am 21, so there was not a real issue in the first place. Once management got involved, the situation was diffused immediately and we received abundant compensation for the bother, like free drinks and an extra entree to take home! Everyone (except hairline) was super sweet and accommodating. So, in conclusion, this place is awesome as long as you have your ID (or you look "old enough"!)

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.

For example, if you want a non-beer drink, there are no fountain beveridges. Just random bottled drinks like apple and orange juice. (with pizza?!) To order, you have to go to the counter, but there's no menu to look at once there. So we were literally toting menus back and forth from the table to the counter to show them what we wanted to order. Chaotic is a good word to describe our experience. The pizza was delicious, I'd happily eat it again. But the service and menu/drink situation were so bad it was almost laughable. We were the only group in the entire restaurant, and I think I know why. While the restaurant building is exactly what you'd expect, the outdoor patio looked inviting with ample seating and an open fire, but I'm not sure I'll be going back. I'm only giving this place two stars because the pizza was so good. ‍

It was saturated in honey and had a slight stinky cheese type undertone, but we didn't complain and ate a couple slices. I'm expecting so I didn't try a beer, but both times I had a lukewarm beverage from their small selection. My husband did get beer from the wall, a few each time, and noted they were mostly foam despite a careful pour. Again the price does not fit the quantity. The second visit we ordered the white pizza. NOWHERE on the menu does it state that it is heavily doused with lemon, including several lemon seeds. My husband is sensitive to lemon. The cheese was also clumped and undercooked. We brought this to the attention of the staff and a very rude man literally said "what do you want to do about it?" We didn't get past a bite each, the pizza was 22 dollars, and they gave us 10 off. For real? Lemon is not on the menu description. And seeds definitely don't belong on pizza. I'm glad my husband brought it up because if it had been me, I'd have most certainly made a bigger fuss. I don't usually leave poor reviews but felt compelled after this visit. We won't return and I'm sure they won't care one bit. So many better pizza and beer options in the area. I will also mention briefly that for the amount of staff they have standing around, you'd think the place would be cleaner. Eww.
