Absolutely worth it! Plan for more time than you think you need. We had 3 hours and felt rushed...I think we could have doubled it easily. Definitely try to book in advance to get the longer time slots. The staff were excellent with describing everything, setting up our phone GPS, and getting us on our way quickly. Highly recommended. If you have issues with motion sickness definitely plan for that. Ear plugs or noise canceling headphones a really good idea. read more

Easy to sign out a vehicle, very quick service! Jamie was amazing! She explained everything so well. She showed us each destination and feature in the Smokey mountains. We worked out the best routes and she even downloaded the maps to my phone so when service went off I was able to navigate to each location. We saw amazing waterfalls and 3 different sets of black bear mamas and their babies for a total of 9 bears. Really great customer service made all this possible! Thank you Ridge Riders! *I'm adding an edit after reading someone's else's review. We had rented a mini van on our trip to the Pigeon Forge. Yes we could've used our mini van, but the UTV was way better to drive up and down the mountain grades. I saw other vehicles struggling and it was so easy to drive the UTV. Plus it's smaller than a typical vehicle and it fit so well on the road. Also it allowed us to have amazing views from the vehicle, especially with the bears all around us.* When we comeback to visit we will use ridge riders again! read more

Negative reviews about the $500 deposit have never invested 40k in a side by side and rented it to a complete stranger. If you can't afford it, you probably shouldn't risk renting one. read more

This was something I was really looking forward to during our trip however, we were pretty disappointed with it. How you treat your customers who are spending a good amount of money for something is everything. I would give this zero stars if yelp would let me. The older woman with short hair who was behind the counter had terrible customer service and treated our group like we were children who were looking for a joy ride. She was demanding and highly impatient. She demanded my credit card for $500 security deposit and I said hang on so I can decide which card to use. She was very snotty when asking for payment repeatedly and wouldn't give me the time to search in my wallet for my card. The workers in the garage however were very kind. Once the woman checked us out and had already received our payment she then says, "oh by the way your vehicle you wanted is unavailable you will have to pick something else" there was no call the day before to tell us we needed to pick something else, and I would think she should have told us BEFORE taking my card that it wasn't available. We weren't happy with the backup vehicle. It was a Polaris razor that was clunky rough and sputtered when backing up. It looked nice but that was about it. Next time I would rather go elsewhere. read more

When I rented the Polaris (UTV) I was under the impression that we would be able to go off roading and explore way more. Renting the ATV was a complete waste of money as everywhere we went we could have done in a regular vehicle! We were instructed to only stay on paved roads. I was very disappointed. If I would have know I would not have rented the ATV. It was too late to get a refund as we had to give 48 hour notice. Hopefully with my review you can make a better decision than I did! read more

Rented a UTV, two-seater, for a four hour excursion into the Smokies! What an absolutely perfect way to travel through the national park. The staff were great, gave us maps, downloaded offline maps, and made the trip pretty seamless. Having the wind blow through your hair while climbing those mountain roads was great. Road around in circles from detours on their maps we downloaded. Parks were closed due to weather and didn't see anything and when I called they said they can't control weather which is true. Our rental experience went smoothly although you are required to fill it up with gas before returning so you have to use your rental time for that. We didn't really realize that there aren't any separate side by side trails or anything so you literally are just driving on the roads that you can drive your car on. Not really any point in doing this, you don't get better views or a different experience than you would by driving your car through the park. When we visited traffic was so heavy, we did the three hour rental and only had time to drive to the sinks and back. If you want to do multiple spots you would have to rent for 5-6 hours. Wouldn't do it again. read more

We had a HORRIBLE experience at this place. We RESERVED a 4 seater UTV and very specifically stated we had a car seat. Upon arrival, keep in mind - we were the first ppl thru the door - the car seat did not fit into the UTV. I explained the dilemma and the front desk gal refused to accommodate by simply switching it out for a larger 4 seater. She said "the other ones are reserved?!?" I explained to her that we ALSO reserved a 4 seater. She told me to wait in the lobby, as I did. She asked me to follow her to the back, as I did. When going to the back, she had one of the guys pull out a bigger 4 seater and she asked if that one Would work and I said "yes - that is much bigger and would definitely work." The next thing I know the young boy stated "well sorry it's reserved!" "Ummmm again, we reserved as well and I was very clear we had a car seat." The snarky young "man" then said "look lady I don't know why you are being shitty to us. This isn't our fault!! You must have a bigger car seat then anyone else in the world! You can rent a 6 seater if you want." I simply said "just give me a refund. This is a joke." Now, keep in mind we had just paid $300 for 3 hours for a 4 seater that I was told would "fit a car seat no problem" and a $500 deposit and THEY made the mistake and THIS is how I was being spoken to and THEN being told I "could pay more for a 6 seater?!?" Why did the girl have me go to the back and look at a different UTV if this was how I was going to be spoken to by a snot nosed 20 something kid?!? I looked at the front desk clerk again and said "I'm done. I want a refund now" and proceeded to walk to the front. She followed and gave me a refund. Interestingly, the little boy comes thru the door and says to the girl "just give her a refund. It's fine." Ummmm yea thanks hun. Moral of the story is: I reserved 24 hrs in advance. I explained we had a car seat. We arrive and was the first ones there and they refused to accommodate! The young boy working there had a TERRIBLE attitude and was RUDE and then went on as he was an authority about car seats and stated "you must have the biggest car seat in the world?!?" Sweetheart, we have a Chicco carseat that cost $650 so as far as the size of it... it's a standard sized car seat with high crash ratings. Don't speak to people so condescending because you are VERY lucky I didn't unhinge on your disrespectful punk ass. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!! I had an upset 4 year old, who we had promised this to and a tired little girl who we got up at 6:30 am to go and do this and this is what resulted!! No apologies. No accommodations. Nothing. Just rude staff!!! read more
