A week ago, I had my winter tires changed to my all-season tires, and went grocery shopping afterwards. When I got home, I noticed a scuff mark all along the body of my car. Thinking this may have happened at the dealership, I immediately drove back. I spoke to the General Manager, Brian Vorhis, who reviewed my video taped visit. It showed me driving away in an unscathed car. He said that it appears that while I was shopping, someone recklessly hit the side of my car with their shopping car. Since my car insurance has a $500.00 deductible, Brian suggested that it might be wise for me to stop by Maguire Chevrolet Cadillac Body Shop next door before involving my car insurance, to get an estimate of cost repair there first. I took his advice, and dealt with Edward Rogers, the Body Shop Manager. This gentleman took a look at the damage, and immediately said that it appears that the paint was scraped off, he would like to see if he can buff it out. And, amazingly, it worked! When I thanked him profusely, Mr. Rogers said "I always do the right thing by our customers", and refused any payment. They didnt fix it, they cleaned my truck half-ass and in the process broke my floor mat holder on the driver side. The door they repaired leaks air into the cabin and has a constant whistling noise when driving. I found glue in my driver side mirror from them trying to fix there piss poor job. When we arrived, there was no receptionist, no welcome, no engagement--just a showroom full of sales staff glued to screens. No one looked up. It felt like walking through the Borg Collective--if you're not pre-scanned or tagged by their system, you don't exist. Eventually, I politely asked a salesperson (who was texting at her desk) if anyone could help us. She scolded me for interrupting her texting. Not a joke. When someone finally did help us, she launched into a checklist-style interrogation--what trim? who did you speak to? how much can you afford?--before even offering a test drive. She actually said: "We just want to make sure that if you fall in love with the car, you can afford it." I half expected her to hand me a feather boa and call me Vivian from Pretty Woman. I told her we'd already done the research, knew what we wanted, and just needed to sit in the vehicle and drive it. She didn't like that. We didn't fit the script. She got visibly irritated, tried to talk us out of test driving more than one trim, then left the desk without a word. Just walked away. We left. Later, a "manager" called. She sounded young, inexperienced, and totally unaware of what went wrong. She defended everything, including the texting salesperson, saying I had interrupted her. Her version of an apology was an excuse. They don't see a problem because they don't care. Their whole model is built around trolling the internet for leads and jamming people into a rigid, impersonal sales system. If you don't cooperate with their funnel, you're not worth their time. Maguire isn't set up to sell cars to people--they're set up to mine online clicks and process you like data. They're not interested in relationships, needs, or experience. They're fishing for suckers, not building trust.

Took it back to Pritchards after having the recall work done and had Pritchard's go over the car thoroughly - Whew - glad we did. Not only did they tell us what we did NOT need to do they also told us what we needed to do at a substanally lower cost almost $1000 less (!). I trust what they tell me and feel assured they will not tell us to do more work than we need on our cars.

Again, I reached out to Audi Ithaca to see if they could help, and once again they were awesome. The dealership is an hour away from my home and these appointments are incredibly inconvenient to begin with. I arrived on time and as scheduled, only to be told by the attendant that they are not able to help me, as they are only doing Volvo service on this day. I was turned away without any assistance. I have 6 months left on my lease and will not be getting another Audi vehicle, because of this. I have 2 appointments with nearby BMW dealerships who are much too eager to help, why should I stay with this brand? I think this dealership dropped the ball and should be talked to about the way they do business and treat their customers.
