Interesting decor with a clubbish lounge vibe yet with a family setting? Not quite sure what they were aiming for honestly haha BUT the food was amazing! Fresh bread basket with olive oil (classic Italian style) we even asked for more to dip into all the sauces. The portions were def a "take half home" situation. Everything came out steamy and flavorful. Pasta was nicely cooked al dente. A nice texture many people tend to get wrong with such a simple dish. Def willing to come back and try everything else'

the best!! we love the staff here, they treat us like family every time we come in. can't recommend enough -- get the linguine alla vongole, the money bags pasta, the pizza, and the fried dough with nutella for dessert is life changing! xx

Was introduced yesterday to Bosfa for my mothers birthday. I was disappointed to have not heard of this place sooner, having lived close by in Rivervale for some time. Absolutely planning on coming back and introducing more family and friends alike. Definitely on the higher end process-wise, but you're paying for what you get. Fantastic service, family decorum and elegant ambiance, and of course, the amazing food. I loved literally anything that was brought to the table. The best Neapolitan style Italian food around.

Sorry, we were enjoying the food SO much, I forgot to take pictures!

Bravo!!!! SO Italian! Authentic, delicious, incredible food. Our waiters were wonderful and went out of their way to get us anything we needed! The bread!!! OMG the bread! Started off the meal, then Calamari Fritti (the best I ever had). The Calamari was tender, lightly breaded with a red sauce that was just like nonna's! For an incredible pasta dish treat yourself to Sacchetti Alla Bozcaiola it's little pasta satchels with cheese in a mushroom prosciutto cream sauce. They call them "money bags" and they are right on the money! Momma Mia! Outstanding! We had so much fun, we felt like we were in Italy! Save room for dessert. We had the tray of Zeppole Con Nutella! Delicious! Love everything about this place! Even the black and white ambiance, which is clean and elegant. Go have some authentic Italian food, and top it off with Italian "liquori"

Super yummy Spaghetti special. Look at that saffron!!

We went to Bosfa last night and everything was superb! We asked for mussels fri Diablo for an appetizer which was not on the menu - and they made them special for us - which was delicious! The bread is amazing! Our entree was a special - spaghetti in a light cream sauce with colossal shrimp and crispy pancetta - it was piled high with saffron. What a fantastic dish! We finished our meal by going to the gelato bar and sampled several delicious choices before choosing two. I highly recommend this special restaurant that is oozing with wonderful food and hospitality!!!

    Moneybags !! With cutlet

Decent Italian restaurant with a full bar, very attentive staff, and creative specials. We had the Fried Zucchini Flower appetizer special, which was rich and delicious. I had the Lobster (and Seafood) Fettuccine entree. It was a bit salty and I think the artichokes were pre-marinated, so they had a hefty burst of salt in each bite as well. But the seafood was cooked nicely. I wish I'd have known it was langostino lobster or I probably would've gotten the Pappardelle Bolognese instead. (I'm just not a big fan of langostino's taste or texture, but there wasn't a ton of it.) My wife had the Fettuccine Carbonara. It was a bit saltier than mine. The guanciale (she thought it was more like breakfast bacon; possibly why it was saltier?) could've been crisped up a bit more. The fettuccine noodles in both dishes were very tender and tasted fresh. For cocktails, she had a Lychee Martini and I had an Old Fashioned. Her martini was "very floral," but for me it bordered on "fancy hand soap" flavors. My Old Fashioned was a bit busy with lots of muddled cherries. Like, a LOT of muddled cherries. I think a traditional Old Fashioned only has orange peel or maybe half an orange slice, and maybe one whole, uncrushed cherry. This was edging into fruity-blender-drink territory. We each had a nice glass of wine with dinner. The atmosphere was somewhere between "sports bar" and "upscale strip mall eatery." All in all, it was a bit of a hike for us to get there, so we probably won't return any time soon, but we could tell it was a preferred neighborhood spot. (There was a family celebrating the dad's birthday.) And there were a lot of items on the regular menu that looked really appetizing. I wish them luck!

Foremost, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of greenery and elegant lighting. Our waiter provided top tier service throughout the night. The appetizers we ordered were perfect shareable bites and so delicious. The homemade focaccia was light and crispy. Perfectly toasted! This comes at the start of your meal for all of the tables. I loved the fried calamari, burrata and prosciutto, and the pear salad. I was most intrigued with the mussel flatbread appetizer. It was topped with a light buttery sauce and garlic. Very good! The meatballs were also a standout for me. In addition to an amazing start to my meal, I loved the cocktail options. From various spritz choices to Negronis, you can tell the cocktail menu was carefully crafted. Verana is known for the best chicken parmigiana. Not only did this dish deliver, but the portion size was unreal. Some of my dining party finished it. However, I have amazing leftovers for today. You have an option to get a side of homemade pasta. I went with the spaghetti. All pasta dishes are made from scratch. Other honorable mentions include the pasta normica and bolognese. Moving on to the sweet dessert options! The cappuccino's had a nice and bold coffee flavor. The pistachio gelato and apple tart were music to my ears! So fresh and really hits any sweet tooth. The tiramisu had a nice pairing of coffee flavor and cinnamon. My first dining experience at Verana will definitely not be my last. I can't stop talking about all of the incredible dishes that my family and I tried. Thank you Verana for an incredible meal!

It may sound crazy, but I have yet to find a really good pasta spot in NJ. NYC, no problem, but I…read moredon't always want to cross the river. I think I finally found a spot where I can confidently get good pasta AND dessert. My partner and I stopped in this week, and we were immediately met with cool, industrial-style decor and a BOMB playlist. The staff was super friendly and helped a lot with specials and recommendations, as it was our first time. For drinks, we started with a Fig & Melon cocktail and their Old Fashioned. Both were great, but I think the old-fashioned wins over the Fig & Melon. It's smoky and sweet, while the F&M was citrusy and refreshing. To start, we ordered the Mozzarella Sticks Di Bar Mutz with Mutz Hot Honey & Sour Milk. Personally, I am tired of hot honey on everything, haha, so this wasn't for me. If they served it on the side first vs drizzled on top, I probably would have enjoyed it more, as the mozz sticks alone were delicious. The breading was more like a garlic bread than the traditional coating. It also comes with extra hot honey on the side. For our mains, we shared the Spicy Rig and Trottole. Again, both are really good, but the Trottole was the CLEAR winner. The short rib was rich, and the overall dish was perfect for the savory lover like me. The Spicy Rig was lighter, and the bite of pasta with basil was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the mile high espresso martini, affogato martini, which had ice cream they make in-house, and the Samoas cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious! It's a good problem to have when you're dining somewhere, and you're battling it out for who has the best dish. Can't wait to come back and bring friends!

I like the open concept kitchen and the music was definitely on point. However , the food was mostly disappointing , I would say. The mozzarella delicious. Butter cake delicious. But all three pastas that we ordered were definitely not worth the price. I was really excited for the spicy rigatoni that I got and I asked the guy how spicy it was. And he said, 2 out of 10, but when I got it, it was definitely 0 out of 10 spicy. He said too many people complained about the spice level. So they dumbed it down, but it just tasted like tomato sauce with no spice at all. Unfortunate. There were a couple of other appetizers or things on the menu I would be willing to try, but I won't be running back to this spot anytime soon. Especially since it was a good distance away from me.

Our party of seven were well taken care of and our selections of specials and regular menu items were all excellent. Appetizers were very good - the calamari was light and crispy and the baked clams were well seasoned and delicious but could benefit from a little crisp under the broiler. The tuna was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the wasabi soy ribbon beautifully surrounding the plate. The halibut was perfectly cooked but lacked the spice kick that the picante promised; however the sauce was delicious. This was a wonderful dining experience and we look forward to our return.
