The receptionists were nice and attentive and the doctor's assistant was great getting my pet ready for her annual exam. When the doctor came in she was also very nice and really wanted to know about the history of my pet. We had shots to do and another assistant came in just to try to calm my little one down (even though she didn't really need it) and massaged her head during the whole procedure. I had several questions about a potential medical concern with my pet and I was given excellent advice and she did some additional checks for me. I'll definitely be back if I continue to get this kind of service.

We've had to work through several medical issues (i.e., reduced kidney function, diabetes, arthritis, and hyperthyroid issues). However, due to the care and treatment they've received both our old girls are still going strong at 19! Good proactive care does cost some money but it is well worth it. Animals with even challenging conditions can continue to lead happy lives with proper treatment. Our two kitties are proof of that. Dr. Peuser and Olathe Animal Hospital are fantastic. Under his watch, she stayed healthy and perky, but her final battle with IVDD could not be countered, so we relied on him to send her home. The room was set up with subdued lighting and a plush covering on the table provided for comfort. Slowly, and over a period of almost an hour, he entered and left the room, patiently administering the medications to allow her to gently drift away in peace. Although the loss was heartbreaking, it was the most peaceful euthanasia of a pet I have experienced. Afterward, he assisted as I carried her to the car and gave me a hug. From the attention Dr. Warwick gave our pet--in life and in death--it is obvious he loves his work and his clients. We are grateful. God bless him and his wonderful staff for helping us through this deep loss and for the personal care, attention and dignity they continue to offer to the families and furry friends of our community.

We have over the 20 years had several four legged family members treated by Tom, and Todd over the life of each family member, and we could not have found better or more caring treatment, even on days they are closed, they'll drop everything and come in for emergency treatment. They always remind me of "Doc" on "Gunsmoke" harnessing up their buggy in the middle of the night to bring aid and relief to a suffering animal. Getting annual check-ups and rabies boosters along with a couple ear/nose/throat issues and a couple rounds of pink eye treated. The staff has always been friendly and the location is pretty convenient. With that said, it's time to disclose the negatives and why I'll not be coming back. Firstly, this is by far one of the most expensive vets in JoCo. It's a business with a pretty choice location, but the prices greatly exceed the products & services rendered. Secondly, and to the service quality, it took multiple trips and an expensive generic round of antibiotics to not adequately treat what was actually wrong with my dog. Thirdly, and the last trip that effectively ended this relationship, I took the dog in for a teeth cleaning only to have them call me and say that they'd pulled 6 teeth...without calling me and asking if it was okay to do so. And when I pressed the vet after coming to get my dog if it was absolutely medically necessary; he replied "No". My dog's quality of life has been severely impacted by a careless person making an unnecessary unilateral decision. I want to make this extremely clear to not only this vet, but to other vets (and pet owners): A vet should never perform non-life saving surgery (especially teeth extractions) on a pet without discussing it with the owner first, period, hard stop, no exceptions. If a greaseball mechanic can take the time to call a vehicle owner before replacing air filters or windshield wipers; a professional veterinarian should be able to call a pet owner before extracting teeth. With that said, I'll be finding a new vet and would not recommend this one.

I adopted a second dog from the shelter and wanted to have my dog checked and vaccinated. I mentioned that my dog had a suspicious mass on his paw and the staff that were not the regular staff who examined my dog completely brushed me off and ignored me. I took my dog back a second time to look at the mass and again I had a Dr. that is not regularly there examine my dog. She mentioned something about a needle aspiration and then told me just to watch the mass for growth. The mass continued to grow and I decided to take my dog to another vet. This vet took their time with me and did surgery immediately after I took him there. They saved him from losing his toe and will determine if it's Cancer. If you love your pet don't bring them to this incompetent practice that simply doesn't care about your pet's health and life!!!

The old reviews, that are shockingly allowed to remain, are from a time when this was a veterinarian, locally owned company. The vets are not the same, the service and pet care is definitely not the same and the focus, profit over client, and most importantly, PET WELL BEING, is not the focus. This is happening nationwide. Find another local vet who truly cares for your furry family member. My experience was awful - my cat was unnecessarily medicated with something I highly suspected was not needed and did not solve the illness. I was treated very rudely, my word against theirs since it was just me and the vet, and because I could not get anywhere else, I allowed it. Never again. I will never go back here again.
