    Veggie pizza

I have not branched out on the menu here because I can't stop eating the pizza and garlic bread. I do not have the stature of someone who can safely inhale as many carbs I have. Service is friendly from all staff. You also get to see the pizza chef work, make the pizzas, dough acrobatics and tests of physics while you dine. Ambiance is FANCY, but it's in a casino so, there's balance.

The service is never good and the food is mediocre. They can't seem to get the restaurant running smoothly there.

The menu has changed in the last year (apologies for lack of photos), so I recommend checking the website's menu for the most current offerings. The potato beignets were a hit appetizer- although truly the oddest beignets I've ever seen- I would order again without hesitation. The kabocha squash hummus and Brussels sprouts were also immediate hits. My duck confit was exceptional and the banana creme pie was enough for 4 people to enjoy a few bites. The menu strikes a nice balance of varied southern/french tastes but focused for quality and thoughtfully curated. Although I noted that we were celebrating a graduation when making the reservation, it was never acknowledged. That said, the service was warm and attentive overall, with the only drawback being infrequent water refills. The volume in the dining room fluctuated and became a bit louder toward the end of our meal. Overall, this restaurant manages to feel both intimate and refined. A charming, upscale spot that's well suited for a special occasion.

The purple sweet potato bread was easily the highlight of the meal. Give me two more orders and call it a night. I had the salmon with wilted spinach, heirloom peas, leeks, and gribiche. The salmon was cooked perfectly with crispy skin, while the peas brought an earthy, slightly nutty flavor with a creamy texture that paired beautifully with the leeks and tomatoes. If I'm ever back in town, this will be the first restaurant I visit.

I had a barrel ages old fashioned. The bread was fresh and tasty. The menu has quite a variety...steak, chicken, seafood...something for everyone. We were going for steak. A filet was ordered and two of us ordered the 14 oz ribeye. From what I saw on other tables steak seems to be a favorite. The waitress came back and took salad orders, how we wanted the meat cooked plus another drink if needed. I ordered medium well. After a bit i order another old fashioned. The first one went smooth and good. Not too much ice, just the right amount of liquor. Chilled and good. The wedge salad comes out and it's covering the plate. Thousand island dressing plus real bacon bits. A nice touch. Just enough dressing. After a bit the ribeye arrives. It too covers a portion of then plate. it's a bit peppered but cooked right. The waitress asked us to cut into the meat to verify it was cooked right, they all were cooked as ordered. Truly a treat. The steak is gone, a little bread is left on the table, half the old fashioned is remaining. Definitely will return in the future if I'm in Shreveport. Between the service and quality of the food it's a must visit if you're in town.

To start, the menu pricing is definitely reflecting the upscale steakhouse that it is going for. Their Caesar salad was solid (4/5); I wish they had some anchovies on it though. I got the prime New York strip for my main (16 oz, $68) with a requested medium rare cook. The steak came out a bit tough, even for prime, and the seasoning was overly heavy on the pepper and the fat on the side of the steak needed more rendering. The cook was closer to a medium, which is fine, but it didn't help with the toughness. The sentiment of the group was that there was too much black pepper on all of the steaks and that the cuts were a bit tough (3/5). The sides were hit and miss; the Mac and cheese was solid (4/5), mushroom risotto was a bit meh (3/5), and sauteed mushrooms were also a bit bland (3/5). The crème brûlée was solid as well (4/5) besides the whipped cream on top. Overall, there were some hits and some misses but the toughness of the steaks and the over seasoning brings the steak dinner experience down slightly, especially at this price point.

The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

Ordered our food at that time. We checked in at the 40 minute mark and come to find out that our food still wasn't ready. Apparently the waiter put the order in on the wrong name - so that had to be fixed. And then when it was fixed they had a large party in front of ours that needed to be prepared first before ours. Needless to say we have now been sitting in this restaurant for over an hour with a cup of coffee and no food. If you want a quick breakfast spot, this is not the place. I would not recommend coming here with children because I cannot imagine them waiting patiently for an hour for breakfast. I have yet to receive our food even after writing this long review. But any place where you have to wait this long to get some eggs and a pancake I cannot recommend.
