Love this little cute market that is on Riego Rd, it's a little deli gas station and it's the only one you pretty much see for the next 7 miles or so. It's a nice little cute place to stop in get a little hot breakfast in the deli in the back, they serve sandwiches and some burritos and a bit of breakfast. The prices are super reasonable and the food is super tasty. Even if you're looking for some type of snack or a drink or even coffee to start your day this is a good stop over to your next destination. The staff and they are super friendly and will ask pretty much any question you. There is no seating here or public bathrooms just to let everyone know, it's pretty much a to go place. Burritos the size of a baby's leg, as my brother pit it. Delicious. Salsa is smoky and spicy. Perfect. Pastrami sammy was toasted, cheese was melted and toppings were plentiful. The guy making our lunch was friendly and helpful, as was the guy manning the cash register in front. Have driven past and been wanting to try it since I love old fashioned delis. We thought we could have a seat but there is NO seating and NO restrooms. We bought some chips to go with and took it home. Menu board is hard to read with missing letters/words. Not a huge selection. Prices are cheap at $5.49 a sandwich but so is the quality unfortunately. It was a small sandwich. Meat was rubbery and the cheese is processed. It was actually so bad I could not bring myself to eat it all. It is equivalent to those pre-made sandwiches you buy in a vending machine or cafeteria. I had to go through my fridge to find something else to eat. They do well because they are out in the middle of nowhere. Great for those folks that live out there that just need a gallon of milk instead of going all the way into town. This would normally be a 1 or 2 star being probably one of the worst sandwiches I ever had but I cut them a little slack being a family business just trying to make a living. Stop by for groceries but not the food unfortunately. read more

This little store has been in this location for decades and it's all about location location location! There is nothing else for miles, so they can overcharge for cigarettes and beverages without much complaint. The best thing they offer is a small deli kitchen in the back where you can get fresh cooked breakfasts and lunches! Excellent sandwiches hot or cold made while you wait! This deli is out of the way, except for hundreds of commuters coming off of Hwy-99 towards home. But it is definitely worth stopping by and grabbing a sandwich as they have the best sandwiches around for miles and miles. I drive all the way out from Antelope often to order a few of these for me and my people, the market and deli is family owned so you can be assured you will get knowledgeable employees and friendly customer service. I am tempted to give this place 5 stars! I blows the competition out of the water.....that is, this place is in such a desolate area of bizarre CA space that there is no competition. I have to work in this "lovely" town every now and then, and this is the only place to get lunch. That being said, this place ain't bad. They have standard deli sando's, and the people are chill enough that you can just customize however you please. The ingredients are good, and food is good, so i am happy. It is located in the back of a liquor star with a decent selection of beer and other drinks. Super useful, as this area of town can get hot and dry in a heartbeat.
