Burritos the size of a baby's leg, as my brother pit it. Delicious. Salsa is smoky and spicy. Perfect. Pastrami sammy was toasted, cheese was melted and toppings were plentiful. The guy making our lunch was friendly and helpful, as was the guy manning the cash register in front. They definitely fall into favor with the working-man crowd as we watched a steady line of big guys rolling in and out.

Have driven past and been wanting to try it since I love old fashioned delis. We thought we could have a seat but there is NO seating and NO restrooms. We bought some chips to go with and took it home. Menu board is hard to read with missing letters/words. Not a huge selection. Prices are cheap at $5.49 a sandwich but so is the quality unfortunately. It was a small sandwich. Meat was rubbery and the cheese is processed. It was actually so bad I could not bring myself to eat it all. It is equivalent to those pre-made sandwiches you buy in a vending machine or cafeteria. I had to go through my fridge to find something else to eat. They do well because they are out in the middle of nowhere. Great for those folks that live out there that just need a gallon of milk instead of going all the way into town. This would normally be a 1 or 2 star being probably one of the worst sandwiches I ever had but I cut them a little slack being a family business just trying to make a living. Stop by for groceries but not the food unfortunately.

Amazing food, amazing staff! Everyone is so friendly!! Located near railroad, a small local business, family owned. I tried their breakfast sausage burrito, was very good. Their tri-tip tacos are bomb! Menu updated as well

Surprisingly good pastrami sandwich. Much better than expected and at a very fair price. Wife enjoyed her turkey club too.

Everything from the sandwiches to the pasta comes in huge portions and tastes amazing. Their happy hour is honestly one of the best around -- great quality beers with plenty to choose from, and they even serve them in ice-cold mugs, which makes such a difference. They also have plenty to choose from, plus solid non-alcoholic options at really good prices. They're doing $3 mimosas for Mother's Day Sunday (hopefully that becomes permanent because that's a steal). Happy hour runs from 3-7 every day except Sunday. One of my favorite parts is the atmosphere. The shaded patio makes it comfortable even during the heat, and the whole place has this cozy backyard vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The owners are super personable and actually take time to connect with their customers, which makes the experience feel welcoming and genuine. Definitely worth checking out if you want great food, good drinks, and a laid-back spot with people who genuinely care.

The restaurant sign is hard to miss, and they have a good amount of parking available. The inside is decked out in old memorabilia, posters, and racing signage and it has an old school feel. You can order to-go, like I did, at the counter or get a table and enjoy a seated experience. The people working here are friendly and when I let them know it was my first time they were happy to answer questions. I ended up ordering the Pepper Steak sandwich, the Italian Cold Cuts sandwich, a pepperoni pizza, and a side of mac salad. The pizza is a simple one, but had plenty of cheese and is perfect if you're craving it. The medium size they offer is perfect for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people on its own. The pepper steak sandwich is one of the items they're known for and after taking a couple bites I could see why. The mixture of cooked meat, onion, and peppers along with the fresh bread, tomatoes and seasoning is so flavorful. The sauce soaks into the bread to make each bite delicious. The Italian Cold Cut was very unique. I had heard it's a favorite, but I didn't expect something as out of the ordinary. There's laters of meat and cheese on the bread l, and then there is a sweet pickle relish (like you'd put on a hotdog) and then plenty of chopped tomato and onion and sub sauce. The sweetness of the relish through me off, but works with the sandwich. Something interesting about both sandwiches is that they didn't have sandwich toppings like lettuce that wouldn't rewarm well. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.

Beyond the stuck in 1982 nostalgic aesthetic, the shop turns out serious, hearty subs piled high with savory meats, melted cheeses, and classic fixings on soft, sturdy rolls. It's a wonderfully unpretentious neighborhood throwback that nails the comfort and generous portions of an old-school sub counter. I had the Chicken Parm and it was probably the best I've had in Sac. The Staff was nice, but this place needs a deep cleaning and a little TLC to stay relevant.
