My Ford owners manual says to replace timing belt at 150K but ok, it is an ugly job. Gave me a matter of a fact quote for $2400+. I had a brand new Gates accessory belt which he refused to use. I have 2 kids at University and was just just trying to defray some cost. Now I know why, I was charged at least 3x the retail cost on all parts. $70 for Napa coolant and I kid you not $5 for a screw?I am a capitalist and a car guy but 3x cost on parts seems like price gouging. I was hoping to save a few dollars with an independent shop. Not at all, Ford dealer would have done it for that price and after the fact, Tuffy quoted me $1900 but just an estimate. I had Harris do the work and am appreciative that it was done the next day as my wife needs her car but will not be back, not impressed by the service nor the price. During the call, I advised of the coupon and provided my make/model of my vehicle. If this coupon would not be honored - due to the type of oil - then I should have been told during that call. Upon arriving, the man at the counter was not trying to hear me and kept mansplaining that the coupon I needed to use was the one on the bottom, which would require an up charge due to my car not using conventional. He was NOT hearing me about wanting the other coupon, stating my car didn't take conventional oil.......it didn't take it for the other coupon either which is why I needed to do upcharge. I was okay with paying additional fee for the $44.95 coup; however, they were not honoring THEIR coupon and I would have to start at $79 for services on the $44.95 coupon. PERHAPS A BAIT AND SWITCH? Another man on the phone interjected to "just give it to her" and started looking a for way to ring it up. However, another man immediately came from the back area and started the same mansplaining, saying no to the other man's trying to find solution. Needless to say, I just left and have no plans to ever return. Perhaps better customer service skills and an actual care for your business will help them. Ridiculous!!

As it turns out, Boyd's had correctly identified a problem which a body shop and the dealer later missed. I am most grateful to them. The front subframe was indeed rusted out. When some rust scale was removed, you could see a hole in the subframe, and it was clear that it was compromised in other areas as well. Boyd's is once again my go-to shop. I was reassured that the quality and honesty I have expected from them for over 25 years now continues.

I recommend going somewhere else that's more affordable. They told her that rotors needed done as well as it had hot spots. The rotors are fine and so we had the brakes done only. Looking back, Will never allow her to come back here and I don't recommend anyone else going here. There is other places that offer better prices and don't change the offer on you same day to make prices higher.

I was very pleased with my experience today with the guys at NTB on East Broad Street in Blacklick…read more I had been experiencing car vibration at certain speeds and since Acura had diagnosed and given me an $1100 estimate to fix the driver's side CV axle and front end alignment, I thought I would start with the front end alignment to see if that would solve it (yeah it was a leap but I was encouraged by the mechanic that replaced my struts to check that first since "a CV axle wouldn't cause vibration..." (By the way the same mechanic suggested a wheel balance to fix and that didn't work either. FAIL!) NTB did the alignment and the vibration was not fixed. They checked it out thoroughly and came back with the same front axle issue that Acura had diagnosed but at a cost of $430 (including alignment). After several hours and three axles that did not fit, they found one that fit! (well, it was the one I had ordered from O'Reilley's late last week after the Acura inspection and was going to have same ole mechanic install it for me...). They called me with good news that the axle was installed and the car didn't vibrate. I went for a road test with the sales guy (Josh) and confirmed as well. This is my first auto service review because I had a positive experience with these guys and wanted to share. We oftentimes only communicate the negative so I wanted to be one that took the time to communicate the positive. I'm not saying they are always perfect and fair and that they're not trying to increase sales (as some people suggest) because as a sales person, it's their job to sell more items... But what I am saying is that they did a thorough job assessing the situation and hustling to get a part that fit, and all at a price that I was comfortable with. Kudos to Josh, Todd and CJ at the NTB on E. Broad St. in Blacklick. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back!"
