Oh, how I wish we had one of these near us. This was so nice and calm and quiet on a Tuesday night…read more The service was absolutely impeccable. Cassidy is a gem! Everything was done quickly. We didn't ever have to ask for drink refills. She was on top of everything. Incredibly friendly and kind. Seriously fantastic! Then the food - oh my word! Incredible. The bread you can get out front is excellent with a garlic butter dip that is just so good. Their Caesar salad is one of the best I've had - tons of shaved parm and pine nuts. We almost never like spaghetti and meatballs when we're out - never as good as homemade, but their bucatini and meatballs was incredibly flavorful. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Husband loved their meatball sub - best one he's ever had. I also loved the baked chicken pesto pasta - such good flavors in here. We come for vacation every now and then - this is now a must for us every visit!

Probably, the later you get there, reservations are necessary. The interior was quite vibrant and well-lit, with both booths and chairs for seating. Service: The staff was very warm. Right from the hostess to our waitress, they embodied the Southern hospitality that the region is known for. Bites: For appetizers, we ordered calamari with lemon aioli and marinara. I admit I had a little skepticism about the calamari (before ordering) because I've had enough overcooked ones before. But the calamari at Roma Table was cooked to perfection, and the lemon aioli was AMAZING, so zesty, fresh, and creamy, it complemented the crispy seafood. The marinara was good too but totally overshadowed by the aioli. I highly recommend this! For the main course, I ordered a pizza. It was a bit of a letdown. I should have ordered their pastas, which they are well known for. The pizza was bready, and there was a very thick blob of mozzarella, which was a little icky for me. It was a big blob on every slice, which you could literally plop out. The pizza, I guess, is highly skippable. Overall, if I overlooked the pizza, I would definitely give Roma Table another chance next time.

It is away from from the beaten path of the Smokies and they recommend reservations for dinner. Open at 3pm, I called and he gave us a 6:15 time which worked well on a slower Wednesday. The entrance gives way to a nice bar area with a few TVs, booths and white linen tables. We each settled on a bottle of Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio and the mussels appetizer and bruschetta. Our waiter Andrei was professional and prompt. We decided to have a glass of wine and enjoy conversation and our apps without ordering our entrees and expediting the occasion. Andrei checked back several times and kept our waters full and was very patient. We settled on clams fettuccini with a white wine butter sauce and my lady got the mussels in the same sauce. It was a garlic lover's delight and I'm certain I'll never be a vampire. We enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere was relaxed. A liquid dessert pour of tequila and whiskey settled us and we skipped dessert although it was tempting. Overall the prices were a bit higher but the service was excellent and our meal rang true. It was a great first impression and we had leftovers. It will be added into our rotation and look forward to trying other pastas and seafood.

The Frutti di Mare is phenomenal!!!…read more We happened upon this wonderful location by watching "Adventure is Out There" on YouTube. Totally off the beaten path, and so worth it. Just when you think you're lost, you arrive. The Focaccia bread that is served really good. Suggest getting marina as opposed to olive oil for dipping. The meatball was nice sized (big enough to share) and marinara sauce was really good. The Frutti di Mare was suggested by our waiter Anthony (very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings) to use white wine sauce. It was a great suggestion. The ingredients were obviously fresh and the portion size was easily shareable. We shared a Tiramisu. And let me preface that my wife has never liked this dessert. But the YouTube review swayed her perspective. And she loved it. You can tell that it's a labor to make (we talked to the owner's wife and she concurred). The only negative would be due to personal preference. The Caesar salad dressing didn't have anchovies. It was lemon forward and good, but it's just something that we like.

Just never knew when Taste of Italy was opened or closed. I often wonder how local businesses survive inflation and the unskilled job market. Solorzano's - I did Not make up this name -- Claims to be real Italians from near Naples, Italy. Not fans of Naples Pizza.... Yes, a slight remodel and open from 10:30 am - midnight. We have excellent Pizza in Dayton, OH, and we tend to prefer Mountain and Tennessee cuisine during our Smoky Mountain week. My wife spies Zuppa Di Pesce, and I order Shrimp and Scallops Fra Diavio. Both are excellent, and we recommend a pasta entrée. Solorzano's Gatlinburg offers their design of Gourmet Pizza, and offers this pizza by the slice. It's ok, but a Chicago pizza is our style; and we'll stick with our pasta orders. Solorzano's has been open for several months, but has not learned Marketing - have not seen advance knowledge of this company. Also Biden did not cause Inflation - Lots of Corporate Greed did and Solorzano's shares in this greed. Solorzano's prices are way too high. DO NOT display your political Bias on the Menu! We recommend Solorzano's and hope for the best.

The tables were not cleaned; we literally had to look for the least dirty table out there. The staff taking the order genuinely seemed disinterested or perhaps he was just too tired. The pizza I ordered seemed undercooked. To be very honest, I was extremely hungry, and there weren't too many options out there, so I settled for it. I don't see myself coming here again.

We walked into the place…read moreafter looking at their online menu and the name seemed the only thing Italian about them. Despite the menu having very limited options, we went in expecting a quick bite and decent food. All we wanted was some food so that pangs of hunger wouldn't wake us up at night. But their performance defied our expectations. The pizzeria is stuck in the past and funnily not even in a glorious one. Arcade machines occupy nearly half of the floor space and it had games that were part of the zeitgeist more than a decade ago. New and engaging games like Floppy Bird and Temple Run to name a few. While one can forgive the lack of innovation in their menu, the food that was served to us disappointed us further. We ordered two Veggie pizzas and Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wings for appetizers. The Veggie pizza was underdone in the middle giving it the distinction of being both crunchy and mushy - mushy in the middle crunchy towards the edges. The excess cheese did not do the pizza any favors and the veggies lacked any significant crunch that would have salvaged this joint's reputation. The wings were seemingly microwaved and the buffalo sauce was more rancid than tangy. While it is along expected lines for chains such as Bellacino's to fare poorly in the innovation of their menus and quality of food (challenges attributed to scaling), the lack of cleanliness at this place truly sets it apart. The tables were not clean, there were food crumbs on the floor, and kitchen equipment had seen better days. All in all, do I recommend that you go here? It's affordable but so are bananas. That is what we ended up doing, going to Walmart and buying bananas. Is it tasty? If you love undercooked pizza dough with excess cheese, this should be on your go-to list. Is it unique? If shabby arcade games are your thing then yes.
