Awesome concept and tasty food. So, unfortunately, I don't have any pictures. I was juggling a baby and a 9 year old who was kinda done with the day. My husband and I came in around 7:45 on Saturday night, with our munchkins and greeted warmly and taken to a table right away. Our server asked if we had ever been to a Brazilian steak house because the concept was the same. There are two menus, one with all the apps and everything the other with salad and all the pizzas. They bring the appetizers to you and then bring pizza around. We chose the first one to try the wings, salad, bread and, meatballs. I have to say they were all amazing. No complaints. The wings were crispy and well sauced. We did the teriyaki and the lemon pepper and those were some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. Juicy, crunchy and, delicious. The salad was crispy and fresh. The meatballs had great flavor and the sauce was perfect for taking the bread and dunking and wiping your plate clean with it. The bread itself was crunchy and light at the same time. So so good. They brought around all different types of pizza. All fresh, all hot and from what I experienced delicious. I tried their margarita, the Hawaiian, pepperoni, calabresa and, stroganoff. Every single one was different but extremely good. The crush was lightly charred and yet still chewy and soft. Their dessert pizzas are amazing. My husband and I tried their brigadeiro, banoffee and, Nutella com Morgano. So, basically chocolate, upon chocolate with sprinkles, dulce du leche with bananas whipped cream and cinnamon and, Nutella and strawberries. I was I heaven. So good and just awesome. Personal favorite was the banoffee with the bananas and whipped cream. Pizza Rio takes the pizza buffet up not one notch but so many. It takes the idea of the pizza buffet that we know and elevates it to a different and almost glamorous level. You don't leave your seat. The pizza and sides are brought hot and delicious to you. Pizza Rio is a must when visiting Pigeon Forge! Staff is amazing and so friendly! We felt very much welcomed and invited in their space! Decor is beautiful with focal points being the wine vault and fireplace! The inside is beautiful with vaulted ceilings and such detail in the decor. The food is DELICIOUS!!! We loved trying literally everything! There was not one pizza we didn't like with our favorites being Broccoli Bacon, Crispy Bacon, Mushroom, and Portuguesa! The Nacho pizza I also super yummy! The sweet pizzas were just as great with our favorites being Strawberry Nutella, Banoffee, Dulce de Leche with Coconut, and Chocolate with Sprinkles! In addition to the pizzas literally every appetizer is amazing! The Caesar and House Salads are dressed well! Loved the arugula in the House Salad; it added such great peppery notes with the tomatoes and slightly sweet house dressing! The chicken wings were crispy and sauced well! We really enjoyed the Garlic Parm, BBQ, and Teriyaki! The meatballs are yummy as well; topped with a delicious marinara sauce and sprinkled with Parmesan! first, i want to give a ton of credit to our wonderful waiter - he was SUPER friendly and so kind! he made our entire meal so much better by bringing me an entire saucer full of lemon wedges when i asked. he was able to explain the concept of the restaurant to us very easily and was quick with the appetizers and drinks we ordered. i really did enjoy the salad. that lemon honey vinaigrette with sun dried tomatoes was absolutely delicious. and the crostini? that was perfectly crispy and had the perfect amount of flavor, in my opinion. the savory pizza, i would say, was maybe subpar. it wasn't bad, it just wasn't what i was expecting. out of the ones i did try, the quatro queijos was the best with all the cheeses. the dessert pizza was the star as the banoffee was probably my favorite! that and the beijinho, i just love anything with coconut and this reminded me of the inside of a mounds bar without the chocolate coating. the outside was beautiful, and the inside was very open plan and didn't feel too crowded either, which i appreciated. i likely won't return as AYCE places make it hard for me to feel like i'm eating my money's worth but this was a really nice experience for what it was. read more

I am finding it hard to really get a gauge this restaurant. I did like the vibe and style. The bar options were very tasty and surprising. The appetizers were a surprise hit. The bread selection and the Caesar salad were excellent. The wings were good flavors but could have been a little crispier. The pizzas were hit or miss. My teams decided on Pizza Rio for our annual Christmas party. I called ahead and the manager Ani was very kind and accommodated our lively group. We had two extras join and she even slid an extra table together to give us space for everyone. The entrance is a pleasant walk from the parking lot. The space is very modern and gives way to cathedral ceilings in the main dining room. The open kitchen concept allows guests to see each pizza being fired in the oven. It was nicely decorated and had a spacious feel. Fun for the kids to get a slice of the pizza preparation and see the servers bring out each pie. The server Daniella said they had been operating for two years in Pigeon Forge. We were each offered house salad with sun dried tomatoes that came dressed, Caesar salad and wings with your choice of bbq, Buffalo, garlic Parmesan. They also offer meatballs and sauce as a starter. Our group shared salads and wings and were quickly ready for what I would call pizza-polooza! The stand outs were 4 cheese, broccoli and bacon, frango com catupiry (chicken and cheese) and Portuguese (had eggs), ham, onion, and black olives. We had Hawaiian, a cheese pizza loaded with pineapple, but my favorite was the nacho pizza. It was a cheesy beef with crushed Doritos. It looked odd but the flavor and crunch of the chips was something I didn't expect to enjoy but it slapped. The dough was created to be thin but yet not heavy and full of gluten. We all felt light and not like we had just eaten a dozen or more slices each. The service was excellent and we had everyone satisfied but just like that it was time for dessert pizza. Nutella/banana and Nutella/strawberry were a hit. But the sweet special with coconut was creative and not sure about anyone else, but I liked it. We were offered after dinner cocktails but most of the group had their fill by then. An Irish coffee made its way to the table and I passed as I couldn't imagine any more sugar after 3 dessert slices. Our server was kind enough to split up our bill and Oscar assisted to make sure everything was handled. We took our group photo by the fireplace and it was an excellent experience for everyone. It would be best to call ahead if you have a party of more than 25. They have a nice bar area as well near the front. I could see myself going back to try out a few caipirinhas. Good place. I was a little confused at the start but basically you are seated, order your drink and they'll have a menu. They will ask what you want to start, everything is included except the drinks ($3.75 each). You'll order salad and wings that you want from that menu. Then they'll bring by all the pizzas they offer and once you've tried them all they will bring more that you may like. They were all very good. Then when your ready they will bring the dessert pizzas out. It was very quiet, it was just us a 2 other tables. Which was great because everywhere else we had tried was atleast 30 minutes to wait. Staff was super friendly and food was delicious. It's pricey but it was really good. It was close to $100 for 2 kids (1 was free) and 2 adults. My husband and I had a fun Rodizio pizza dinner at Pizza Rio (April, 2025). Rodizio is Portuguese for "rotation", and this Brazilian restaurant did just that, a continuous all-you-can-eat rotation of appetizers, pizza, and dessert for $28.50 ($16.50 (ages 8-12), $10.50 (ages 4-7), free for ages under 3). There is also a brunch option on Saturdays and Sundays. The pre-set menu started with hearty APPETIZERS: *your choice of salad, either (or both) classic traditional Caesar with Parmesan and croutons or mixed greens dressed with a lemon honey vinaigrette and garnished with sun-dried tomatoes. (We split one of each; both fresh and very good. Rating: 5/5). *Brazilian-style lightly-breaded chicken wings (Rating: 4/5). Each plate consisted of four wings in your choice of flavors. We tried the teriyaki; BBQ; and garlic Parmesan, with BBQ being our favorite. We didn't try the spicy Buffalo flavor. *four almondegas (rating: 4/5), house-made pork and beef meatballs simmered in a savory marinara tomato sauce. These were tasty but we prefer a thicker sauce. *Slices of Focaccia and crostini (very good, 5/5). PIZZAS. (Rating: 4/5). Then, the main event! Waiters circulated in the dining room, offering slices of freshly-prepared, fire-baked, thin-crusted pizzas. Each pizza featured a naturally fermented sourdough crust, house-made pomodoro petati sauce, and mozzarella cheese. There were 16 flavors to choose from, with many unique flavor combinations. We intentionally selected the smallest slices so we could try more flavors! My husband had five slices -- (1) Quatro Queijos, or four cheese, featuring Parmesan, blue cheese, catupiry, and mozzarella; (2) Portuguesa, breakfast on a pizza! - ham, onion, bell pepper, eggs, and black olives. (3) brocolis com bacon - broccoli, bacon, and catupiry cheese. (4) supreme, with pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, and black olives. (5) Hawaiian, with pineapple and sliced ham. I could manage only three - (1) stroganoff de frango, chicken stroganoff with potato sticks. (2) mushroom, with a mix of sautéed mushrooms, and (3) picanha com alho, slices of sirloin steak and garlic-infused olive oil. Perhaps predictably, our favorites were those that we tend to prefer at any pizza shop -- supreme for my husband; mushroom for me. A slight mark-down on rating because a few of the slices could've spent a bit more time in the fire oven; the crusts weren't consistently crispy. DESSERT PIZZAS. (Rating: 3/5). Six dessert pizzas were offered: (1) Nutella com Morango (strawberries); (2) Beijinho, authentic coconut brigadeiro topped with colorful sprinkles; (3) doce de leite com coco, the authentic Brazilian Dulce de leche, topped with coconut flakes; (4) Banofee, Dulce de leche, banana, cinnamon, and whipped cream; (5) brigadeiro, with chocolate sprinkles; and (6) the daily Sweet Special, coffee. We again ordered the smallest slices of each of these, and split them. All were acceptable, but we had reached the point that we had eaten two many pizzas with crusts. Suggestion: it would've been nice to offer these desserts in small cups without pizza crusts. WAIT STAFF. (Rating: 5/5). Staff were incredible; we were well taken care of. We had a delightful main waiter who checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything, refilled our water and ice Jugs, etc. This waiter was from Istanbul, Turkey, a country that we visited a few years ago. We enjoyed comparing a few travel notes and my husband practiced some phrases in Turkish. A cadre of other waiters were regularly dropping by and encouraging us to try more options. At one point, my husband asked if two specific flavors of pizza would be coming around. A few minutes later, fresh and hot slices of those two were delivered to him. DRINKS. The restaurant offers handcrafted sangrias and cocktails, a signature wine list, juices, sodas, coffees and teas. We cannot comment on these as we selected only to have water with this meal. AMBIANCE. (5/5). The restaurant is an inviting, modern beautiful space with wide open spaces and soaring ceilings. Tables are set sufficiently apart to offer privacy and space for the waiters to circulate. You can see the food being freshly prepared and fire-baked pizzas going into the ovens. Our server told us they were updating the menu to have even MORE choices. The vibes are so nice and it's so clean. It was awesome watching them make pizzas, too. We had a party of 8, thinking we had chosen a fun pizza place with good service and food. We were extremely disappointed, and this place is not cheap, in fact I considered it pretty expensive for a pizza place. Our waiter started of very friendly, took our orders and then disappeared! We waited forever on the individual cheese pizza we ordered for the children, after asking other servers about it several times, it finally arrived. In the mean time, the adults were offered several types of pizza, we were always the last (or nearly last) in the room to be served. Being always last is not good because only a few slices and the less desirable selections were available. The servers consistently begin all service of the complete pizzas on only on side of the dining room, very disappointing. Our absent waiter never brought more water, never checked on us, very poor service. After very slow service, we finally asked One of the other servers for a box for the remaining whole cheese pizza (ordered separately from the all you can eat menu) and more of the dessert pizza, even requesting the server start on our side of the dining room. Of course this was ignored and I had to walk up to our waiter (I finally spotted him after over an hour) and re-requested the box, our check, and dessert pizza (saying perhaps they could start with our table for once, giving us a section of slices for a change). Other tables had had this throughout the dinner service, while our table seemed to be an after thought each time. So overall this was not a good experience, I do not recommend this restaurant. And the pizza was very average, nothing special. Hopefully some improvements can be made, but of course this is a tourist town so they probably don't care. read more

We were a party of 11, 7 adults and 4 kids. We made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived a few minutes early. We were sat immediately. It took about 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. But as soon as we gave our drink order the food started to arrive. We all loved the wings and the salads. The pizza was also a hit, we loved the variety. Our only issue was we were seated in the large open room with an entire baseball team that was using the dinner as the there award ceremony. It was so loud no one could talk to each other at our table. We asked to be moved and were told it wasn't possible. Which if they were busy we would have understood. By far the worst experience I've had with a reservation. Had a reservation for 5 at 6:15, arrived and checked in at 6:09, was told my table would be ready soon & to wait at the bar. Ordered a drink and bartender seemed to be doing a great job & making beautiful drinks but was severely understaffed for Valentines crowd. Only 3 groups were seated the whole time we were waiting. Waited an hour with 6+ tables clearly available and set but not being seated. Heard the hostess tell another group of 5 that it was a 20-30min wait when I checked in at 6:09, they were also still not seated when I canceled my reservation with the hostess and left at 7:09. Disappointed with pizza size for $25 the pizza felt very late and was taped closed. Thought that was a little different. Of course when I got home I opened box and there was 2-3 inches around the pizza to the edge of the box. Meaning it was a very small sized pizza. Pizza tasted decent, but was small. What a unique restaurant concept...like a Brazilian steakhouse, but with pizza rather than steak - and less than half the price! Some very atypical pizza ingredients and combinations mixed in with some old reliables - we enjoyed the unusual menu and variety of tastes. And the small slices (1.5-2" at crust) allowed us to try all of the flavors we wanted without being too full to continue. Oh, one more thing - don't miss the dessert pizzas! They are some of the best flavors and unique combos you'll find at Pizza Rio. We didn't expect much out of the starters, which are offered automatically before the pizza starts, but we were wrong! The meatballs were terrific flavor and texture - some of the best I've ever had anywhere. And the chicken wings, which we ordered mixed in parmesan sauce rather than BBQ or buffalo - very tasty! The focaccia bread and cornbread were both really good, too. Caesar salad was basic and we didn't try the soup so we could save room for the main course. Even better than the food was the service, which was very attentive and personable. It was very obvious that the owner's brother, who we met, was present and very involved. We pulled in the parking lot on Monday night at 7 pm and nearly left because we had concerns about going to an all-you-care-to-eat restaurant with very few patrons. Would the food be fresh and hot? Would there be a shortage of variety offered? No and no! I don't know how they do it, but we were offered every pizza on the menu while we were here with very little waiting (which we needed to allow digestion!). Wow! What a great place! The food was amazing and Carlos was a fantastic server, probably the best we've had in years. Oh, the atmosphere was so beautiful. This place has big windows to gaze at the sunset and a lovely patio area. The decor is so beautiful! The meatballs, Parmesan and lemon pepper chicken wings were our favorites. They keep bringing the pizzas and each one is better than the one before. We especially liked the Picanha (steak) and the bacon crocante. Our kiddo liked the nacho one! Like the typical Brazilian rodízio, they start with a crispy salad, a cup of soup, plate of meatballs, wings, and corn bread with pita chips. Everything was tasty but almost too much food before the pizza comes around. So make sure you make space! Next, comes the pizza rodízio. The idea of having 4 kinds of pizza cut in smaller pieces so you can try them all is simply awesome! And if they are not coming around with the flavor you want, they'll ask the kitchen to make that pizza so they can bring it back around. No green/red card needed. They make pretty much every flavor from the menu plus whatever you want or haven't seen come by in a while. The pizza was tasty! I loved the chicken catupiry and we loved the stroganoff! Creamy in a way and different, but delicious. So yes, it's not the basic flavors you're used to. And you get to try them all! And don't forget to leave room for the dessert pizza! My wife and I are local foodies at it saddens me was had not dined here SOONER!!! The Service - absolutely top notch! Christian was extremely polite, attentive, and explained the dining process thoroughly! He even assisted the table next to us as English was not their first language. This was such a beautiful thing to see! All of the servers were so polite and helpful! Atmosphere - simply gorgeous, inside and out! Very clean, spacious, with gorgeous views! My wife and I are excited to come back in the fall when the weather is cooler and we can dine outdoors! Food - Pizza is my favorite food - and they delivered! The crust was golden brown and held all the toppings well! Their sauce was a wonderful balance of acidic and sweet! My wife and I tried just about every pizza they had available and I'll comment on them more specifically in the photos! But my favorites were the Margherita and Calabresa! The dessert pizzas were also a huge surprise for me. The Nutella Com Morango and Banoffee were so decadent and delicious! All of the starters were delightful! The fruit and house salad was a nice way to start without being too heavy! The meatballs were delicious and could be a meal all their own! Dog friendly - as an added bonus, they are dog friendly! Was saw this family bring in their sweet boy and dine outdoors! Being dog friendly is very attractive to us! The entire experience too maybe 90 minutes. Everything came out in courses, so you had a chance to eat for a few minutes and then relax before the next portion. #LongPost #GratuityAdded Before I give you my two cents on some of the pizzas I tried, Pizza Rio and Wine bar was a dope place. I enjoyed the concept. Think of a Brazilian style steakhouse but with pizza only. As far as the wine bar, I guess we had to sit at the bar. We were not really informed on the different wines they offered. Although we were able to order a pitcher of Sangria. Another thing I think would definitely help #PizzaRio would be if they have a table with multiple kids, they could bring more than three pieces of cheese and pepperoni pizza at a time. PICANHA COM ALHO Premium Sirloin and Fried Garlic BACON Bacon and Boiled Eggs - another slice that made it in my top three slices. I mean it was bacon, eggs and steak on the pizza. STROGONOFF DE CARNE Steak Stroganoff and Shoestring Potatoes - I was not impressed with his pizza because the Stroganoff sauce let me down. I did not like it. PALMITO COM MILHO Corn and Heart of Palm - pretty decent. CHAWAIIAN Pineapple and Sliced Ham - yes pineapple.goes on pizza. This slice was one of my favs. Crisp crust, juicy pineapples, deliciousness in my mouth. They also had four different types of wings. The wings were crispy and my favorite one was of course buffalo.
