Nice little find just outside of the crazy downtown strip of Gatlinburg. We had just arrived to town, hadn't eaten all day and were starving. All places downtown had a 1.5+ hour wait list. Crystelle was very close to our cabin/Air B and B, had decent prices, and no wait.... So we checked it out! Service and our server was wonderful. Attentive without being overbearing and pushy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was really lovely. Our table overlooked the creek that ran along the backside of the restaurant (hence the name), and there was a waterfall effect from the roof. It felt cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: at my table one ordered the burger and a baked potato, another ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. The burger and potato was good I was told. I tried my mom's dish, the pasta. Those meatballs were super tender and melt in your mouth. I would order those for me! The homemade marinara was perfectly seasoned and not too sweet. My salad with salmon hit the spot and the dressing was delicious. However, the salmon was hammered. Very overcooked! All in all, if I found myself in the area again I'd be back. I just wouldn't order the salmon again.

    Catfish Bites.

Absolutely nothing bad to say about Crystelle Creek 5 star food and service. Generous portions arrived quickly, plus reasonable prices. Our group had a mix of seafood, pasta, and steak, all delicious. House made salad dressings ( try the blackberry vinaigrette) and pasta sauce. Recommend the catfish bites, NY Strip, and all pasta dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We decided to avoid the weekend crowd downtown and so glad we did. Quiet, by the creek... and the free parking alone saved us $20.00.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh yea, we'll be back.

Sports bar outside of Gatlinburg with two levels of parking. Steps to the front entrance or a ramp off to the left for wheelchairs or strollers, which is also where the gender-segregated restrooms are. Everything was hit or miss on a Saturday night when they seemed to be under staffed. Misses like a dirty or empty water glass or incorrect side dish were all eventually remedied. The food was okay. Star of the show was definitely the hot cheese curds with a chunky marina. I really liked the tartar sauce on the catfish, but I thought the broccoli was overcooked. The sauce on the salmon is a little spicy btw, but the sweet potato fries were good with salt. Caveat emptor: the Caesar salad was ginormous. The watermelon mule tastes like a Jolly Rancher.

Amazing Steak & the Wine is perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you oh it's surrounded by a back stream so romantic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I give it 3 stars. Kids give it 4. So, 4 it is. Kids got chicken and broccoli Alfredo and loved it. I got burger. Meat was very good. Bun was cold, but I normally peel most of it away, so it wasn't really a problem for me. My son got burger with added bacon and cheese, and they were not stingy with either and he really enjoyed it. I was not a fan of the sweet potato fries. The regular fries were much better. We also got prime rib which was very good. Service was stellar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Steak, green beans and baked potato. The drink was way too sweet, super strong

Service was manageable, drinks were lousy, not one of three dishes ordered were good. For this price there are much better options.

A bone in ribeye Pittsburgh medium rare thank you to Rodney the grill master at the Cherokee Grill. Their seafood is flown in fresh and we had a wonderful lobster tail as a sidekick to our steak, along with the macaroni and cheese and Navas potatoes!!! absolutely amazing! The herb bread they serve you before your meal is fresh baked warm and delicious!! We tried the crab chowder and also some heirloom tomatoes with basil and fresh mozzarella and a balsamic drizzle. Cheesecake and a brownie dessert baked fresh daily... this establishment is like something we went to years ago that still has the personal touch the freshness and the passion for not only serving, but taking care of the people they are serving!! This was a wonderful experience in dining and getting to know our server and the food was absolutely five star each and everything! The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is wonderful. Yet again, returning with family - our appetizers came out, STALE. And way to turn the place into a tourist attraction with a photographer taking table photos while guests are chewing their food (and turning around trying to sell it to you). Poor taste! Our waitress was flustered and continued to joke about her inability to properly care for her tables. When it came to ordering, she told us many items we wanted to order were not good and shouldn't get them. After quickly shifting to an alternative, one meal came out with the wrong bread changing the entire dish - multiple meals cold and chicken not thoroughly cooked thru. Out of 5 meals - the only thing that came out with quality was a burger and fries. To round out the night, our waitress closed things out not asking how dinner was or if to-go boxes were needed but in fact stated, "I can understand if y'all didn't enjoy your dinner". The individuals serving your customers are bad for business and we will never recommend nor return to your establishment. Let us know when management decides to go back to your roots.

I ordered the filet mignon with the sweet potato casserole and the combination was delicious. The steak was cooked just the way I ordered it and the sweet potato casserole paired perfectly with it. We also really enjoyed the salad bar. It offered a nice variety and everything tasted fresh. My husband ordered the ribeye with a baked potato, and he really enjoyed his meal as well. We each had a cocktail, which made for a relaxing dinner after a day of exploring. One of our favorite parts of the evening was the river view. We were fortunate to get a last minute reservation with a table overlooking the water and it made for such a peaceful dining experience. If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation online ahead of time if you can. We were fortunate to find a last-minute opening, but I can definitely see why this place stays busy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily return on one of our future trips to the Smoky Mountains.

A fake candle .. tapper was the happy 50th on the table. Steak not a true char.. neither was the shrimp... both had wonderful flavor but the char to us is a finishing touch and what we requested. We also requested a lobster tail, which on delving into what we appreciate for an anniversary dinner... was told to us that the Peddler in Gatlinburg typically, usually, sometimes, well have lobster tails... they did not.. you can't really talk to them on the phone about these things as everything is automated and directed to online with them. We had steak and lobster anniversary dinners at Connors in Knoxville.... Service, plating, a beautiful anniversary card and a wonderful dessert..... I'm sorry, but the peddler doesn't compare anymore. And that baked potato... the presentation was ridiculous.... The steak was almost $70.... They were beyond crowded, so obviously somebody's loving them still... or maybe it's just the influx of tourists. Anyway... I don't think we'll be back... well hold onto the first couple years and what it was.

The first thing that you notice is all of the national park decor with fishing rods and deer antlers, etc. Very rustic. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. He seemed quite knowledgeable about the menu when I asked multiple questions. Very nice guy. We started out with fried green tomatoes and then hit the very interesting salad bar. That alone was worth the trip. My wife had the soup and salad combo with crab bisque being the soup. She said the soup was quite good. I ordered the New York Strip steak and added a skewer of shrimp. Here is where things go slightly sideways. The food runner brought my steak and it was a ribeye instead of a strip. I sent it back since it was not what I ordered. He came back with the same steak and said that the cook said it was a strip steak. I had already sent it back once, so I stopped arguing and ate it anyway. It was a good ribeye, but it was not what I ordered. I have eaten enough steaks in 60 years to know the difference. I have deducted a star over this issue. I did enjoy the experience despite the hiccup and would be willing to go back. Just pay attention, folks.

Bad assumption! We almost had to sit at the bar (which would have been OK, but we kind of wanted more privacy) but the hostess found us a high-top table. We had to drive up a big hill to get to the restaurant, so I assume the view outside is super nice, but we sat indoors to get away from the heat :) In general, our server did an OK job, but I do think she could have checked on us a little more, and the service felt quite slow. Our meal started with some complimentary spoonbread (which was pretty tasty!) and a Dylan cocktail for me, which took forever to come out. The Dylan was not really my cup of tea, it turns out - I guess I'm just a beer drinker at heart :) My wife got the Caesar salad for an appetizer and then we split the Beef Wellington for a shared entree. I sampled my wife's Caesar and it was very tasty! The Beef Wellington also took a long time to come out, but the wait was worth it, as it was very good! The beef was cooked medium rare as expected and the pastry was tasty. For our side, we chose broccolini and it was seasoned well. Despite the service hiccups, we had a good experience here. I would definitely consider coming back, and I'd recommend the Greenbrier to others.
