Tow truck drivers are awful, dispatch is very considerate. I was going down a very tight street no opening on what should've been my side to pull over the tow truck had the opening to pull over on his side i sat there waiting for him to pull over and he didn't kept tell me too so I sat there and he could go anywhere so he decided to pull up on my bumper and force me to back up. This company offered the rudest service I can imagine. AAA instructed me to wait inside my house during a snowstorm. Apparently the drivers at Rigano's don't know how to take instructions from AAA or how to use a telephone because they did not inform me they had arrived. The day ended on a positive note! We had a loaner vehicle to drive from Randolph to North of Boston to do errands while our car was getting work done. On return trip, we got check engine/water symbol for overheating. We called AAA for tow from Medford to Randolph during commuter traffic. We were give a 2 hr window from AAA but Rigano's was there before I finished paying for my DD coffee. WOW! That's good service in my world. To Basil, Our driver, Bobby, was 5 stars. Wasn't sure if I needed a jump or a tow. They showed up near Davis Square with a tow truck in 30 minutes, gave me the jump in 1-2 minutes, and it worked. They checked out of course to make sure the alternator was charging, and started asking how long it had been idle, etc. to help figure out the cause. $50 for the jump, they take cash or credit. Would definitely use again if I have trouble in the area. They did block the road a bit, but if there was need for a tow, it seems that might be inevitable. read more

Saw that the only review for this place wasn't great, so I thought I'd add my opinion. Got a flat this week in the morning, changed my tire to a spare, and found out that the spare had a hole in it. Grr! Called AAA and they called Rigano's. They arrived within 15 minutes, which is wonderful, considering I've waited 45 minutes to 2 hours before for a tow through AAA. The guy who picked me up was courteous, friendly, and sympathetic. He took me back to the shop where I waited for a few minutes before a friendly tech approached to look over the two blown tires. He leak-tested them, found the holes and patched them for $20 each. I went away 20 minutes later with a repaired tire and working spare, and a really nice impression of this shop. Everyone I encountered was friendly, which was totally unexpected at a randomly chosen shop far from my house. Thanks, guys, you made an unfortunate morning better! :) (I'm looking to move into the area, and would definitely go back for quick repairs!) read more

Car was damaged after it was towed. First they lied and said it wasn't damaged. Then they lied and said it was previously damaged. Then they lied and said they had pictures to show it was previously damaged. I offered them the chance to make good on the damages and they refused. If you have the bad luck of having them tow your car, immediately take pictures of every surface and under the front end. read more

I was authorized by my management company to call in anytime to have illegally parked vehicles towed. I got up early and requested to have a vehicle in violation removed. The woman told me that I should have called way earlier. I gave her the information and requested that they remove as quickly as possible as we were having constant problems with this person. I checked back several hours later and vehicle still there. I called Rigano's again and was treated rudely by some man. All this from a company that says they are available 24 hours 7 days a week. It's either message machines , robots or disinterested unhelpful people , UNTIL I CALL RIGANOS ... they're real people that are fantastic professionals at their business. They are the best! Here are the cold facts from yesterday's incident (2/14/2017). One of the Rigano's biggest A-hole blocked the one way street (Mayberry Ave in Medford) and created a traffic worth of about 15 cars... I am Ukrainian decent female (US citizen), came out of my truck to politely ask what is going on and how long the traffic is going to be held. So, I received an answer: "This is how we do it here in America, and if you are not happy - go to where you came from, f..ing immigrant!" I am signing under each of my word here. Then (feeling threatened) I came back to my car, waited for another 5 minutes, and honked a couple of times (the cars behind me were honking non-stop). I guess, I look not American enough and an easiest target of all... The Rigano's A-hole grabbed a nearby wooden stool(see the picture), approached my car, raised the stool above his empty head, and the next thing? I thought he will smash it toward my driver's seat... He didn't...too many witnesses ya know...The police was called by multiple drivers... Praise wonderful Medford police (yes, with bit of sarcasm, although they are great folks overall), they let this Ignorant, aggressive A-hole with racist tendencies to go without anyone having an attempt to file a police report... So, just an advise: if you are not white enough, or, you have a hard accent - don't call Rigano's for business or ANY other purpose, or, they will attempt to send you and your entire family to "where you came from, f..ing immigrants!". I had the most outstanding experience with Rigano's. My car battery died and two members from Rigano were sent out to help. Not only did they assist curbside for over one hour, but they offered to charge and test my battery for me at their shop (on a Sunday when almost every garage is closed). They went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe, understood WHY and WHAT they were doing to my vehicle, and were extremely communicative and transparent throughout the entire process. Hooked my car up fast and gave me a ride as well-- and his dog made my day!! Chris Adams of Rigano's Towing not only showed up really fast but truly went above and beyond the call in getting me back into my locked rental car. I've seen studies that show how people tend to give up when they encounter two or three significant obstacles in a row. Well, Chris didn't. The keys were in the trunk, so he had to not only open a locked car door but also figure out how to get into the trunk through the back seat, which normally requires the key! I'm sure management realize what a great employee they have in this guy, but I just wanted to add my two cents. Bravo! read more

My expirience with Riganos towing on the Malden, Medford line was horrible. My fiance's car was towed for unpaid parking tickets by the police (parking's tough) and the police apparently used Riganos. After the tickets were paid we went to retreive the car from Riganos. When we got there, the car now had a donut "the thin spare tire" on one of the wheels and the battery was dead. When we asked about it they said "it was already on it". I certainly did not change the tire and I'm sure my 4 ft. 11 and 100lb girlfriend didn't jack the car up and get out the lug wrench and spare tire. When I approached the owner "Basil" about it, he told me "your barking up the wrong tree". I would beware of the unhonest people there when choosing a tow company. They did jumpstart the car for what its worth. read more

Terrible experience. Had my car towed through AAA and requested it be brought to my personal shop, gave them the name and address and it was even written on the receipt, instead they brought it to their own shop. I called my mechanic on Monday and he said it never arrived. I called Riganos and they said they had it, I told them the issue and they said I would have to pay another tow to have it brought there. I explained the issue and they said they couldn't drop it off at the shop I requested when it was closed, I later found out that that is completely untrue, there is no locked gate or anything at my shop. I think they were just trying to scam me into doing the repairs at their shop. After how rude they were to me and even admitting that they made a mistake there was no way I would hire them to bring my car to the correct shop so I hired another tow company. Riganos had the nerve to charge me storage fees even though they admitted they made a mistake and brought it to the wrong place. Absolutely unbelievable experience that I had to share with anybody considering hiring them. read more
