Popped in right when it was about to close and the gentleman was still friendly. He said we were able to get some slices of what he had left and I was upset, but starving. I ordered a chicken ranch slice or pizza and it was so amazing! There were bits of lettuce on top and I could eat a whole pizza of that. The boyfriend got honey mustard pizza. Sounds super odd but still better than expected. He put the slices in the pizza oven for a bit to warm them up for us and you'd never be able to tell they weren't just made for you. read more

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They once again got my order wrong and I called back to get them to resend the correct one. Yes I will admit I was angry but I never cursed at them at all. Off the top of my head here are the screwed up orders I've had that I (each time) politely called back about before this latest time. At least 3 times this year I order chicken salad wrap and was given a chicken Cesar salad wrap (the nice young lady at the register explained to me the proper way to order it to avoid the constant mistake on this. Breakfast sandwich and apple juice ordered, what I got was the wrong meat on the breakfast sandwich and an iced t. Ordered French toast sticks and syrup, did not get syrup. Ordered salad and did not get the extra dressing I paid for. These are just a few of the multiple times this year alone that I ordered from this place, got a wrong order, called back without an elevated tone in my voice to get it fixed. I've been more than patient with this place and I understand mistakes happen. Which is why I continued to order from there. This is the original of their two restaurants in WC, the second is on Market St. in close proximity to all of the bars (Riggtown Uptown). This location sits right next to one of the best dive bars in the area, Jake's. Every town with a bustling nightlife needs a late night pizza joint and Riggtown is West Chester's. Dollar slices of good pizza typically have drunkards standing in a line out the door and even in inclement weather people wait. My advice is to stick to good ole' reliable cheese pizza and to stay away from the honey mustard chicken (even though it will sound/look amazing at 2:05 AM) trust me...your stomach will thank you. --They also have great breakfast sandwiches! read more

After living in town as a student for 3+ years I will say I have always loved riggtown. It's what you look forward to when you move away for the winter / summer break (some places in certain hometowns don't even have pay by slice pizza). The honey mustard chicken always been a favorite of mine pizza wise but I've order other things like stromboli and breakfast sandwiches. Sometimes the pizza is fresher then other times but that just happens and nothing that has deterred me from ever wanting to come back. Not to mention its within walking distance of most of the town community and also the best (I'm a little bias but purely based on quality) The staff is friendly always and usually run by students so say what's up to them! Love this place, always have. I don't see it going away anytime soon and I'm glad because it's kind of part of the culture of the West Chester, and the town life experience. read more

The staff is very nice and it's good for late night pizza and a side a fries but do not ever get breakfast here. I ordered a sandwich with egg whites cheese and bacon on toast... there was 1 egg white on my sandwich therefore half the sandwich didn't even have egg on it. I understand ordering egg whites means having less egg but even if I got a regular egg what kind of sandwich has just 1 egg on it? Are you guys really that stingy that you can't spare 2-3 eggs on a sandwich? Biggest waste of money ever. Stop serving breakfast because you can't do it right and you're stealing customers money. For a while I have been looking for THE PLACE - that make you feel good place hole in the wall with cheap, awesome food. This is it. I moved here from Illinois, so I naturally asked around about what the best cheesesteak place was. I got the Pat's/Gino's debate. Then my roommate stepped in from the sidelines and said "Honestly, Riggtown is pretty good." I had to try it, and yea, it is pretty good. Everything there is pretty good. I was having a crumby night tonight, so I decided to go to Riggtown for another cheesesteak. It is Wednesday night, so they close at 10 pm. I got there just before 10 pm, and they were only serving pizza slices. The slices looked like they had been sitting out all day, but I figured it couldn't be any worse than my night had already been, so I tried one. I was pleasantly surprised. While in college I lived a block away from Riggtown so naturally I went to eat there quite a bit. The pizza is phenomenal and at a very low price. The employees are usually college students but always welcome mannered and polite. The only problem I ever had with the place was when I ventured off and ordered something that wasn't a pizza. I got a burger and fries and the burger was mediocre at best and did not sit well at all. My girlfriend also ordered chicken nuggets with fries and was not a fan as well. Overall as long as you stick to pizza you'll have a very pleasant experience and enjoy the food and environment! read more

I used to live near Riggtown. It is probably the WORST pizza I've ever had, but it is cheap and available after the bars close. This is definitely college pizza. Riggtown is great for the price, but nothing too fantastic. They make good pizza which is great considering how many poorly run pizza shops are in the area. When I called to order, they were out of anchovies, which was mildly disappointing. However, it was nice that he checked with the kitchen to make sure. Riggtown has always got my back. Whether it's the night after a long night or a drunk pizza run. They've got what you need. Might not always be the best food out there but it does the job. I would say the pizza is their best stuff. On the breakfast sandwich side they're ok. Bagels are pretty bready and not bagely if you know what I'm sayin. I have been putting in a fairly decent sized order on pretty much a weekly basis for a few years to Riggtown and for the 2nd time the rude ownership said they will NOT take any orders from me. They told this to another employee at my company who is not in my department nor have I ever spoke to before. The food is really good and was a fair price though the prices did just get raised. The first time the owner Eric had an issue with me is because he sent my Salad w/NO salad dressing and would not send someone with salad dressing. Who eats a salad w/no dressing come on now! Now this time was because the once again messed up my salad I told them they did not make it correctly but not to worry about it but we needed another Ranch dressing that another employee paid extra for that was not in the bag. They should appreciate our business and make sure things are made right and everything that is paid for is in the bag before leaving the store. I have an ex that owns 3 pizza stores in Delaware and even with his short temper he would have enough sense that its his own employees faults not the customer! For this I will NOT place another order with them and will try to continue to talk my employees out of ordering from them as well they should be embarressed of themselves especially Eric the obviously trashy owner!! read more
