I would give their pizza a 3.5, but every other aspect is 5 star. Let me start with the pizza- when they first opened this was my go to. The pizza is always fresh, but has gotten thinner and thinner over time. Like you grab the pizza box and it's like holding an empty box. The toppings also have gotten more and more sparse over time. The flavors are good, but need more on a pizza!! Recommendations: the vodka add shredded chicken, mushroom farmer, shrimp fra diavola, and Greek. The rest: dining in is where it's at. The outside seating is nice and heated in the winter. For some reason, the food tastes so much better there. I always get the kale Cesar salad (yum!!!!), the bang bang shrimp, and a couple pizzas. They also have the most adorable ice cream window. My kids love to stop by there in the summer and eat at the picnic tables. This place is solid, but not my pizza only place. read more

Different Cheesesteak #1240. I saw on the menu a Grilled Cheese. I asked the young woman at the counter if they could make me a Grilled Cheese Cheesesteak. She said, yes!! I called Artillery Brewing to see if I could take my grilled cheesesteak there. The young man on the phone said, Yes! I took my Grilled Cheesesteak to Artillery Brewing. Artillery Brewing has a kitchen. I apologized and said that I had called. He said I had talked to him. He said it was okay because at that time I was the only customer. I am glad he did because I loved my sour cherry beer from the Rebellion Collection. My Grilled Cheesesteak was very good. The meat/cheese and onions were close to very very very good. I may have gotten a little ahead of myself getting it as a grilled cheese. The good news, I will be going back to West Chester Pizza Cafe to try the cheesesteak as a cheesesteak. I recently moved to West Chester and had heard a lot about the pizza options in the area. West Chester Pizza Cafe was one of the most recommended so i decided to give it a shot. I got a plain cheese pizza and can say that it was one of the best, if not the best, cheese pizzas that I've had (and I've had a lot.) the crust is perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time and the sauce is so flavorful. Dined here last night. We were sat right away at a deuce table in front of the kitchen. It was the last available table. Very popular place with groups waiting to be seated at the outside dining area. Service was quick as the restaurant was busy. Food was fresh and served hot. High turnover on the tables. We were there between 6:30-7:30pm on a Friday night. Definitely going back but for a late dinner when the crowd thins down. For appetizer, we opted for the fried calamari which was served with lemon wedges and a small side of marinara. Make sure you have water or something to drink because the calamari is so salty! It was more like a "salt and pepper" type entree you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. I didn't really like it. My husband thought it was okay but salty. We also ordered a classic tomato pizza. Thin crust was delicious. Just the right texture, doneness with the dark spots on the bottom. Sauce is not on the sweet side so that's a plus. Just the right amount of Parmesan to balance the flavor of the sauce and crust. We are loving this pizza and coming back for more. (Actually ordered the pizza to bring home to the kids but had to taste it anyway.) For our entrees, I ordered eggplant parm which came with a side of spaghetti. My husband ordered chicken parm which also with a side of spaghetti. Eggplant was tasty and not overpowered with excessive breading or salt. The sauce had a mild sweetness to it and its flavor soaked into the pasta. Just the right amount to coat the noodles and not drown in sauce. The eggplant also had sauce but not heavily laden with it. Mozzarella on top was all melted and perfectly gooey. Same with the chicken parm. However, my husband mentioned it wasn't really seasoned but tasted good anyway. Swears he's just having the pizza next time. Overall, we love the pizza, stay away from the calamari, order the spaghetti, and will try other pizzas and entrees on our next visit. I'd recommend coming back to this restaurant. It's a BYOB kind of place. Very reasonable on pricing. Family friendly. Casual. Quick service but a very small restaurant. Place can be cramped. Try not to get the deuce table in front of the kitchen doors. Servers literally knocked the doors into my chair. May try takeout from here too. read more

Don't know what the fuss is about. We had a pepperoni pizza that was tolerable at best. Crust was paper thin and tasteless. Pepperoni was good but the cheese and sauce were also not very favorable. Also too salty. read more

What a hidden gem! Went here due to the reviews and it lives up to the hype. The tomato pie was excellent as well as the guido stromboli! The salad was large and lots of veggies in it. We ate inside but they were doing a ton of take out. We will be back here! read more

Recently moved to west chester and was on the hunt for a new go to pizza place. This place did not disappoint!! We got the original cheese pizza and the nonna pizza. Both were delicious, but both a bit burnt on the bottom. The ingredients tasted fresh. When picking up the pizza, the staff was super nice and the place was very cute. Hands down one of the best places for pizza in west chester for sure. their crust is always chewy and crisp and pairs amazingly with their robust savory tomato sauce. they also have a variety of specialty pizza none of which have disappointed. A favorite is their pizza with soppresatta and mikes hot honey, being both salty and savory and is just perfect for a night out. Their appetizers are also amazing, with one of my favorites being their roasted chicken wings and their onion rings. Overall their food and ambiance is a 5/5, but the reason for their 4/5 being their service. This place has been getting a little hype on social media sites and it's close enough to my regular travels that I had to try. The restaurant is nice enough on the outside and there is plenty of off street parking. I walked in on a Saturday night and ordered at the counter-staff was receptive, professional and kind. The inside has a seated dining area, and also some counter space to wait for takeout. We ordered a half pepperoni and enjoyed a Coke and watched basketball while our pie cooked. Pizza was ready after ten minutes or so, we drove home and dug in. One thing to mention is they had a cool, unique oven. It was multi level, rotating, and it seemed they had a few pizzaiolos working on different sides of the oven-neat set up, but not sure if gas or electric. This pizza was really, really good. Not your traditional thin crust or NY style, rather unique. A bit of a char on the bottom and on the crust, sweet sauce, quality cheese, and cupping pepperoni. This pizza was top notch for any pizza aficionado. Easily 8.6 out of 10, maybe better. Will definitely return! read more

Went here last night because my kids told me we had to try it. Something about YouTube and a president. The place is smallish on the inside but tasteful. We sat a table that was made from slab of a tree. What it lacked in evenness, it made up in adventure as plates and glasses pitched in interesting ways. In better weather, the outdoor seating would have been the way to go. Anyway...the pizza was delicious. We had a plain and a margarita and they were the best we've had in this area by far. Very light crust, thin, crisp with a tasty sauce. Both were excellent pies...slight edge to the margarita but were splitting hairs. Child one had the tomato bisque and a grilled cheese...he raved about both. We also split a pear salad which was also quite good. For dessert, the cheesecake was homemade and excellent...same for the cannoli. We also ordered the homemade doughnuts with Nutella drizzled...good but also large enough to share with several people. Overall, we'll probably become regulars here...we'll worth the drive for pizza this special and it's nice to not have to deal with West Chester parking. read more

Have been working my way through the menu since they opened. I'm a pizza snob and for my money, this is the best pizza you will find in West Chester. Not as good as NY/NJ pie, but really solid. Especially enjoy the Margarita pizza. Meatballs are good, chicken parm sandwich solid. Wings and cheese steak egg rolls are decent. Cheesesteak sandwich was disappointing (onions on top of the sandwich rather than mixed with the meat strange cheesesteak construction). Overall though, glad they're here. I really used to love this place. Their cheese pizza WAS awesome. Used to LOVE their BBQ chicken pizza but sadly it's all gone down hill since the Dave Portnoy rating. The Cheese pizza is soooo thin it just gets soggy on my way home (which is a 20min drive). It so soggy the sauce and cheese drip off even when the pizza was cold. My Favorite was the BBQ pizza, it's only a disappointment now. The last time I ordered it it had red tomato sauce all over it and BBq sauce. It's just supposed to be BBQ sauce.
